Good grief Kelly. If we'd been around, it wouldn't just have been his shoulder we touched!

What weird weather. Snowed hard where I work this morning which fortunately didn't stick then sunny at lunchtime and now absolutely throwing it down.

Rhubarb01 · 29/03/2016 17:21

Afternoon ladies - it's just been chucking hail down here. What a day and what a weekend. Good Friday was lovely but the rest was literally a wash out. However, yesterday my DH went down to a garden centre to get some plants and took our dog with him who seems to have been stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction and his poor little face became so swollen he's had to go to the vet and have a steroid injection, a course of anti-histamine and some eye drops - yet another £50 worth! Apparently a few dogs have been stung by dopey bees recently - more like dopey dog!

Kelly I had to laugh at the false MK story in the DM. The only worry Mark Wright should have about his wife is the risk of her being trampled underfoot by a herd of CJ fans! On the other hand it could be a sneaky bit of reverse PR put out to raise BA's and OG's profile! Or maybe we've finally persuaded him he needs better representatives as we've often said. Perhaps this explains woof's absence - I see her as being a bit like Alan Partridge's PA! Seriously though, what a load of twaddle! It must be quite frustrating to be in the public eye and have to put up with that nonsense.

Onlygirljen · 29/03/2016 17:26

Have to laugh at all the comments on the DM article urging MK to leave her husband for BA since he's a much more attractive prospect! If it's an attempt to up his profile it might have been successful..

pixieg1rl · 29/03/2016 17:37

The DM reporting spurious claptrap? Well I never Hmm

It's been a lovely day here apart from the biting wind. We've been to the garden centre and then done some planting out and tried to sow some seeds to get started indoors. Very slow work when you're trying to engage a reluctant 5 year old in the process.

KellyHb · 29/03/2016 18:07

Yes jen some of the comments are funny on that DM article. There's a couple of 'I hope Molly's coming back for a scene'. Smile

DartsTart · 29/03/2016 19:00

And there I was - slightly worried MK might be taking some weapon action techniques with Luca - that will DM's story next week ......

So jealous of the -aha concert - my arms were resplendent in leather thongs- bracelets for most of my teenage years ......

Ilovelblue · 29/03/2016 19:12

Mark Wright v BA? Hmmmm, I need to think about that. Let's hope the reverse psychology works. I had a very quick look at the article when I was at work but will have a proper read later.

I've had to ring the optician to say that I'm not getting on with these varifocals. I've given up as they're making me feel dizzy. I'm going in again tomorrow. Very odd that the receptionist seemed to recognise me. She'd only seen me once. Have they only sold one pair of glasses in the last week?

KellyHb · 29/03/2016 19:19

I think I might buy just some hanging baskets this year for the garden pix. That'll be about it. We haven't got much of an imagination where gardenings concerned.

darts I wouldn't doing some close weapon action techniques with those two guys in the bottom left of that pic. Smile I wonder who they're playing?

pixieg1rl · 29/03/2016 19:27

Maybe if you ask nicely one will take the top half and the other the bottom Kelly Wink

MrP and I would much rather be doing the garden than the house, which explains why 18 months into this house not one of the jobs we thought we would do have been done.

Alwaysfrank · 29/03/2016 19:57

Hello all - I'm a bit late to the "new" thread party this time. I can't believe we have Cherin back and a new poster!

I had to pop in to say I have very mixed feelings seeing that nonsense piece in the Mail. I'm feeling a bit possessive about CJ, he's "ours" and I don't want to share him with the tabloid world!

Apsara - so sorry to hear about your loss.

KellyHb · 29/03/2016 20:09

Im not picky pix. I don't mind who goes which end really as long as I get a nice view. Grin

Hi always. How you doing? Did you have a good Easter? I know what you mean about BA. Although this mention (as rhu said) could be a little bit of PR to raise his profile.

Alwaysfrank · 29/03/2016 21:25

His profile is mighty fine as it is Wink

All good thanks Kelly, although school holidays are always a bit trying at times! I am however very excited about the weekend after next where circumstances have created a weekend home alone for me. I think I may dust off the old DVD and treat myself to an OG marathon!

KellyHb · 29/03/2016 21:31

Ah wow always. Weekends alone are very rare these days. You enjoy yourself. My twins are being trying these holidays but I only have another week and a half of them wanting to do arts and crafts constantly Angry

pixieg1rl · 29/03/2016 21:46

I can recommend toilet paper light Sabres Kelly. Big roll tube, coloured paper, sellotape. If you're feeling artistic paint the toilet roll black. DS makes about 2 per day. (Mine and his)

Or rude balloon modelling?

Ilovelblue · 29/03/2016 21:56

Just re-read the Daily Mail article. What a load of tosh. I feel a little torn too because if his profile is raised too high, then are we bound to lose him to the US?

pixie a lady after my own horticultural heart! I can get far more excited about garden things than I can house-y things. People have asked about my bathroom and said things like "Oh, it'll take you weeks to decide on the tiles!" Er - I don't think so - all done and dusted quite quickly. My next door neighbours took about 6 weekends trawling round tile shops - I would rather stick pins in my eyes.

By the way, did the hellebore seedlings take ok?

icemistOBE · 29/03/2016 22:19

What a load of rubbish in papers and all from comments people made on a photo.
Must have been a slow gossip day Hmm

cherin · 29/03/2016 22:42

Ahemmmm, i spent a lot of time deciding the timber for the new parquet, a couple of years ago...does that make me a stereotype?
(Now the flat is rented out and probably my gorgeous German oak is completely trashed by the tenants...Aaaah, the lessons you learn in life...always test first, lesson after!!)

I hope they have fun whilst filming. MK was complaining about rain today?

pixieg1rl · 29/03/2016 22:51

I try not to dwell too much on my beautiful solid oak floor and fitted wardrobe from the last house cherin, as well as ignoring the creeping damp and rotten floorboards in our current house. If I did I'd just cry.

We take ages to decide on anything in the house, mainly because MrP and I have hugely different tastes; another reason why nothing gets done.

moojangles · 29/03/2016 23:02

Back in hotel now. Can confirm that Morten still looks and sounds beautiful, and his jeans were low slung

Nickel45 · 29/03/2016 23:34

sigh mooj, bet it was brilliant 😀

KellyHb · 29/03/2016 23:51

Good tips pix. Impressive balloon modelling too. Wink We actually have a pack of balloons somewhere.

Talking of home improvements, we really need an extra bedroom as the boys one is small for the two of them. We thought about extending downstairs but think it's going to be expensive. DH would rather move but I'd rather stick pins in my eyes. If I can just get the kitchen sorted and perhaps a dishwasher, we could muddle along here for a couple more years. pix me and DH can never decide anything either as we have different ideas on so much. Confused

icemistOBE · 30/03/2016 07:35

Oh mooj I bet it was amazing!!! Be still my 14 year old self Wink

Bit chilly this morning, need something to warm me up Grin

Cold here too. Maybe we need SOMEBODY to warm us up?

orphan · 30/03/2016 07:55

Morning from Brighton. We're here for a short break and I'm already in Jane Austen/Georgette Heyer heroine mode. Visiting the Royal Pavilion today and hoping to catch the eye of a Regency buck oh for the days of tight breeches. Unfortunately, I don't think the military are encamped near here at the mo, unlike in Pride and Prejudice where Lydia was salivating at the thought of soldiers.

Oh where is woof? I've been scouring the papers for reports of a wolf fleece and crocs clad sex pest, entreating unsuspecting young males to view her gymnastic routines, but nothing...Confused
