Glad it went ok jen

KellyHb · 11/02/2016 21:34

Would it lower the tone if I mentioned I was partial to a bit of spotted dick? Wink

pixieg1rl · 11/02/2016 21:36

Cream or custard Kelly?

KellyHb · 11/02/2016 21:44

Custard (runny no lumps).

MaddieMoo82 · 11/02/2016 22:02

Thought you'd be a double cream girl kelly Wink

Ilovelblue · 11/02/2016 22:41

Gosh, I've missed all this talk of food tonight whilst I've been shortening two pairs of trousers - my very worst job! I loathe sewing.

I managed to fill out all my appraisal paperwork but I've a couple of weeks to go before the actual appraisal. Every time I went into the kitchen at work to make a drink, there was somebody in there complaining about our appraisal process. Not exactly a morale booster!

Kelly your choice of pudding was predictable! Grin

Couldn't do Yorkshire puddings for breakfast. Not overly keen on them anyway but definitely not in a morning!

apsara03 · 12/02/2016 06:49

Morning. When we were kids we were given Yorkshire puddings left over from the roast heated up with golden syrup for pudding - batter isn't that different to pancakes anyway. They were yummy

Nickel45 · 12/02/2016 07:13

Oh yes, we used to have cold Yorkshire puds for sun tea with jam. Mind, we also use to have bread and dripping! Those days were the days! Healthy diet, Pah!!

icemistOBE · 12/02/2016 07:25

Good morning!

Suppose I'd best watch Lucky Man tonight so hubby doesn't get suspicious. Although Stephen Hagan is rather nice too Wink Great banter with him in Twitter via the Aldridge ArmyGrin

Need to leave for work, but let's have a few nice pics to get me on way

Old James Nesbitt will be a Lucky Man indeed if I bother to tune in tonight ice . I've had nightmares about those waggling eyebrows for the past three weeks and now Ben's cold on a slab (what relevance was his role btw?) I've already laid the grounds with my DH during last weeks episode that it was a pile of piggy poo ie. hammy and shit

Hope the appraisals are going/have gone well. I find that sleeping with my boss always gives me an A* appraisal year on year, plus it puts me in prime position when negotiating a hefty annual pay rise Grin

I've also been known to eat leftover Chinese takeaway for breakfast, but not now I'm older and more sophisticated Blush

pixieg1rl · 12/02/2016 09:44

Leftover yorkshires? Sorry, does not compute.

Nickel45 · 12/02/2016 12:10

My mum made double, and hid them pix!!!!!! Btw What did you think of lucky man, do you want ep 3 with BA on a slab? wish I could send the real thing on a slab, now that would be worth having!

pixieg1rl · 12/02/2016 12:46

I haven't watched it yet nickel. Most evenings this week have involved falling asleep in front of the tele.

KellyHb · 12/02/2016 12:49

Afternoon all.

My greatest extravagance for breakfast is chocolate. Smile But not too much obvs. Its sometimes when I'm running round getting kids sorted and I'm hungry but haven't got time to eat anything so I'll have a little bit.

Off to dentists in a bit very begrudgingly as I don't have dentistry insurance cover now and its gonna cost me an arm and a leg today! Angry

Cast coming through Nick Preston aka Mansfield Mike is off to SA

I'm crossing everything that Sean Ward knows what's good for him and is going too he's been rumoured to be on one of those 'I'm going to break into America trips, like someone else we know.

cjwoofwoof · 12/02/2016 17:02

Oh no, that means his next booking will be Christmas panto at the Crewe Lyceum with Bobby Davro as Buttons then pix , best book your ticket now Shock Let's hope he's on that SA bound plane...

Rhubarb01 · 12/02/2016 18:18

Evening! I have been known to eat Lemon Meringue Pie for breakfast. When I was little I could eat it by the bucket load - my mum used to make some packet mix stuff which is pretty disgusting. I think it was the digestive biscuit base I liked. She did however, progress to making the real thing from scratch and it was very nice indeed.

Kelly I did try chocolate for breakfast once and got the most serious case of heartburn I've every experienced. I was literally unable to move an inch without serious pain until I had overdosed on gaviscon. So I always make sure I line my stomach with something else first - Lemon Meringue Pie does the trick Grin.

Glad to hear some cast news is filtering through - can't be much longer now. To be honest if I was an actor with aspirations to make it big in America I think I'd try to get a solid body of work behind me in the UK first and anyway what's wrong with good old British drama - not much if OG is anything to go by and a lot of other great stuff too. After all quite a few American actors are coming over here to work now.

pixieg1rl · 12/02/2016 21:35

Finally got DS down. He better sleep in tomorrow...

So is anyone still watching Lucky Man? Have the eyebrows finally acted James Nesbit off the screen?

Richtea19 · 12/02/2016 21:57

I'm looking after my friends daughter tonight, she's 6. Oh god forgot how hard it is!!! I take my hat off to you all with littlies. She brought the longest story book over for me to read. So far I've been up and down the stairs.. Light on, light off, need a wee, got an itch!
I need wine!!

Nickel45 · 12/02/2016 21:59

One awake, one asleep! Me almost asleep! Is it wrong to go to sleep before the kids?

Ilovelblue · 12/02/2016 22:11

I've been unbelievably boring again tonight. Happened to be doing my weekly shop in Tesco at lunchtime when all the meat bargains were put out so I snaffled a guinea fowl, plus lamb and mince so as soon as I got home, I made a casserole with the lamb and the base for a cottage pie with the mince.

I ended up falling asleep whilst watching Corrie. Come to think of it, that isn't the first time this week either.

Richtea I am looking after my friend's two boys next Friday night (6 and nearly 4) and am not expecting them to stay in bed! I think they know they can wrap me round their little finger.

Does anyone have any exciting plans for the weekend? Don't suppose anyone can top my compost digging tomorrow morning - such an exciting life!

pixieg1rl · 12/02/2016 22:22

I'm itching to get out in the garden this weekend ilove. The Apple needs pruning, I've a black currant to move, general tidying etc.

Ilovelblue · 12/02/2016 22:25

For once pixie the forecast this weekend doesn't seem to contain rain. Do you have a big garden?

Ilovelblue · 12/02/2016 22:36

Rhubarb couldn't agree with you more about these actors getting a decent name for themselves in the UK before trying to break into the US. I'm glad Mansfield Mike is coming back, he always used to make me smile. I wonder how many more of Two Section will reappear? ice have you not had any intel lately?
