Ah glad things have improved kelly shame about the chocolate though!

Rubbish your feeling pants pixie hope your managing to get some rest today.

jen your in the suede jacket club then with BA and Sam H Grin. Sure you would be quite happy to be in a little club with them two GrinBlush

KellyHb · 07/03/2016 13:12

Ah hope you get some energy soon pix. How far on are you with reading Outlander did you say? I'm going to try and start tonight.

I havent got much energy to go out for tea later for my Mam's birthday. Shes one of these where she thinks people have to be dressed up for a meal out so will have the hassle of changing the kids against their will plus the boys are going to be very testy and I doubt they'd sit for very long so we'll have to take colouring books, pens etc with us Sad

MaddieMoo82 · 07/03/2016 13:27

Ah hope it's not too traumatic kelly and your mam has a nice time. Is there a postive of not much washing up tonight?

Ilovelblue · 07/03/2016 13:32

Soooo tired. Coukd do with 40 winks. Hope we don't have a repeat of last night when I get home. Can't understand why my friend came over really. She should have rung me from the safety of her own house and then the madman wouldn't have known who had called 999 .

Have to say one policeman was very nice looking but why do you not get excited by a police uniform as you would army/RAF etc?

apsara03 · 07/03/2016 15:58

I might be tempted to wear tan suede if it gets you in a club with BA and SH.
kelly I think SH would fill most things well. I am incapable of concentrating on plot/lines anything else when he's got his top off.

KellyHb · 07/03/2016 21:32

Wow. Its quiet on here tonight.

Well we've survived taking the boys out for a meal. They werent too bad really. They tried to make a break for the door a couple of times and bloomin endless trips to the toilet even though they asked and didn't need it Confused The restaurant was fairly quiet which was good as if it was packed and the boys were their rowdy selves, I wouldve been mortified.

Its funny to think a year ago at the same restaurant, it was my Mam and Dad's surprise bday party I'd organised. Time flies!

Freezing cold in the house tonighy even though the heatings on. Hot shower needed now.

pixieg1rl · 07/03/2016 21:50

MrP calls those visits toilet tourism, I know I was a right little bugger for doing that when I was little. I just liked seeing all the different toilets.

An exciting evening of school/child admin here; DS's social life is exhausting. Luckily I don't have one to complete with his. Confused

Got 100 pages left of outlander left to read, it's interesting to see what they cut/expanded in the series.

MaddieMoo82 · 07/03/2016 21:55

It is quiet isn't it?! Spent the last bit of the evening getting sorted for the week ahead. It's my Sunday night really. Fingers crossed for an illness free week otherwise I'll seriously pee off my line manager.
Glad the meal went ok kelly and not too much stress!
Hope your feeling better pix
Wondering if there all having fun in SA.

KellyHb · 07/03/2016 22:39

Ha I love that pix, toilet tourism. Smile Our boys have to visit one wherever we go at least 4 times just for the hell of it. Ikea was a perfect example on Saturday.

Hope your working week goes well mads. I'll cross my fingers for no more illnesses for you and DS this week.

A social life? What's that when its at home pix?? DD has a better one than us too and shes only 5 Shock

Ilovelblue · 07/03/2016 23:31

Very late to the party tonight as I had visitors and plenty of washing up afterwards. Game casserole in lots of red wine and a plum sponge and custard. Ideal for a chilly night.

Will be in Majorca this time next week, hurray!

Domestic violence couple haven't caused any upset tonight. Presume he was released today and the house was in darkness until quite late. Not sure if she and the baby are there or not. I would guess Social Services have been informed, would you?

Nickel45 · 08/03/2016 00:07

Evening :)
Glad it was a quieter night, ilove! Hope you have a good sleep.
I spent the evening making a birthday cake for DS for tomorrow .... Well, that was the plan, of course both kids wanted cuddles at bed time and I fell asleep in both beds!! Really need an early night! Still, all done now. Night all x

KellyHb · 08/03/2016 00:15

Night nickel

Having a quick cup of tea and then bed for me too. Brew

apsara03 · 08/03/2016 06:39

Toilet tourism Smile. One of my friends says I'm like a at marking my territory as I always have to go once we're in restaurant/pub/cafe. I'd no idea I did it. I decided it's a Pavlovian learned response - a result of my mum making me go before we had a meal anywhere!
I finished the 1st outlander book last night and started 2nd, which I am going to have to hide till weekend so I go to sleep at reasonable hour! Still I have train journey to London from night so plenty of time to read then. It is interesting pixie what they change, some of it I get as makes for more visual storytelling (healing the boy who eaten he thought was wild garlic) but parts eg the watch episode and horrocks reappearance I didn't really see the point of

Alwaysfrank · 08/03/2016 09:03

Love the "toilet tourism" expression- one of mine was particularly bad at this! After DS1's brush with the cottaging scene that I mentioned a few weeks ago I doubt he will be displaying any touristy tendencies any time soon Hmm

Presume we take it that BA is definitely SA bound after that tweet of TGs? Or had that already been established and I missed it?

Kelly - I would definitely think about separating your boys at reception stage if I were you. They sound quite like mine were - competitive over everything and not necessarily in a good way. Different secondary schools have transformed my life - different classes in reception were a good start!

KellyHb · 08/03/2016 09:33

Morning all.

Absolutely chucking it down here. Was going to get a friend's daughter a birthday present and card but I'll leave it until tomorrow.

So did you think the book was great overall apsara? I meant to start mine over the weekend but as usual didn't get round to it.

Its hard to know what to do always. DH is all for separating them up. Lately they've been definitely working our last nerves! Hoping by September they might grow up a bit. Trouble is one twin's smaller in size than the other and the larger one looks out for the other one which is nice if they're kept together. There's a parents thing at nursery next week so I'll have a good chat then with the teacher. Thanks for your advice.

cjwoofwoof · 08/03/2016 09:52

Happy Birthday nicklet enjoy mum's cake. Wish someone would make me a cake - if I have to eat another microwaved tikka masala I'm going to spontaneously combust. Never mind wearing diarrhoea coloured jackets, I have diarrhoea coloured blood flow thanks to all the brown sludge I've had to eat for the last month whilst being kitchenless. Fortunately some of the brown is welcome as for tea on Sunday I had a whole bar of Mothers Day Galaxy which was very satisfying indeed. Didn't help in the brown sludge disposal the following day, however Shock. Think a new bathroom may be next on the to-do list to save on extra bleach expense cleaning off old smears Blush Believe me, there's no toilet tourism by visitors to this house at the moment.

Off to chew on my own leg now for a bit of roughage...

MaddieMoo82 · 08/03/2016 09:53

Morning all.

Sounds like a plan talking to the boys nursery kelly hopefully they'll have some useful advice.
Hope your feeling better pix.
Is it your DSs birthday today nickel? If it is hope he has a lovely day Cake
So after getting up at the crack of dawn to drop off DS and get to work I'm on my way home already. Noticed a couple of spots on my hands whilst sat in a huge traffic jam and by the time I got to work my hands are peppered in red spots and a couple of blisters. Looks like I have mini mads HFM argh! Got to stay off till blisters have gone and my line managers face was a picture!!
Feel slightly guilty but leaving DS where he is and picking him up at normal time so can have a rest... Bad mother!!

pixieg1rl · 08/03/2016 10:01

Take all the rest you can Mads, and don't you dare feel guilty about it. Watch those blisters, they're itchy little buggers.

Off work still, though I'll probably log on in a bit because despite only being off 2 days I'm feeling a lot of pressure to work. I was planning on going in but as MrP pointed out, I'm probably not safe to drive if I get dizzy walking down the stairs.

Wrapped up in my slanket and just finished reading outlander. Luckily book 2 is ready and waiting for me.

apsara03 · 08/03/2016 10:04

maddie don't feel guilty. Time to yourself is so rare. Snuggle up on sofa

The books are a good read kelly I think, no great work of fiction, but engaging. Can't work out whether I would have read them had I not got into the programmes. Can't fathom why the 1st book is called Cross Stitch though? I get the reference of the 2nd (not something in the tv series but mentioned in the 1st book)

KellyHb · 08/03/2016 10:19

Yes mads. Ditto on having a rest. Put your feet up..Brew

Happy birthday to mini nickel. Cake

Watching Greys Anatomy from last week. Literally every doctor and nurse in that hospital are in relationships with other people who work there.

MaddieMoo82 · 08/03/2016 10:36

Thanks ladies just feels weird as fine in myself. Yeah your right about the blisters pix! Mini mads is with his nana and grandad today who were planning on taking him out for the day so I'm sure he'll have far more fun being out with them then being bunged in front of the TV if he was home with me. I pay for nursery if he goes in or not so if I'm off tomorrow he's going!

Think I need a slanket pix! hope your getting some rest!
Gonna try and get going properly with 'I am pilgrim', it's my book club read but haven't had time for ages to pick it up.

Popped over to where mrmads was working to let he know I was going home and he said he was feeling itchy.... He will probably draw some spots on with red pen so he can come home!

kelly there are so many people in relationships where I work (me included!) some secret some not. I tried to avoid mrmads at work as much as possible but some sit and have lunch together.... He would annoy me to much if I did that!! Grin

KellyHb · 08/03/2016 10:40

Yeah, I remember you saying. Is it different depts you and Mr Mads work in?

MaddieMoo82 · 08/03/2016 10:45

Technically the same but it is over spread over 3 different areas so can easily not bump into him Grin

Rhubarb01 · 08/03/2016 16:13

Afternoon! It's quiet on here isn't it?

Kelly re the twins together or not together - mine have always been in separate classes. They went to nursery together and spent the first four weeks in Reception together as they were only doing half-days but then they were split into two classes. I wasn't really given the option. There were three sets of twins in their year and they were all split. That said they always did a lot of things together as a year anyway and I got the tell tales from each of them at times the same as you would if they were in the same class. I've found some advantages to them being at the same school as well as one of them is much better at bringing home letters, remembering instructions etc and they've always got pretty much the same homework even though they're at Secondary now so one of them usually knows what they are supposed to be doing which has helped or I've needed to photocopy the sheets the other one has lost! There isn't a right or wrong answer it depends on what's right for them.

Rhubarb01 · 08/03/2016 17:08

Just discovered a bit of Strictly news - apparently Tristan's not returning for the new series! Hope it wasn't the succession of ghastly outfits and the unfair marking of Jamelia that caused it. The veiled comments from him suggest that you don't get all the freedom you would like to just choreograph and do what you want to do as a dancer but the producers etc push the dances in the direction they want them to go - now who could possibly have thought that? - remembering Russell Grant on a rocket, Jeremy Vine on a giant horse and Anne Widecombe suspended on wires! Fair play to him - I'd have much rather seen him just dancing beautifully in elegant white tie and tails each week!
