Pixie I have images of a Question Time scenario with David Dimbleby pointing out into the audience and saying, "Yes, you the very persistent woman in the front row who keeps drooling!" To which you reply in a Bridget Jones type fashion, "Is it true that you really weren't wearing anything under that smock!"

I'd like to be a fly on the wall but I suspect it there will be group of very earnest drama students asking serious questions - what a waste!

Ilove I've never looked at doing anything with TV (I wish! Ha, ha!) apart from reading some articles on the BBC Writers Room and thinking it sounded rather complicated oh and looking at the OG scripts which made me realise how much is visual and a result of actor's interpretation because the words alone don't always convey much in themselves - sorry TG - I mean it really is the whole package (it helps if the words are good too!).

Hi. Just had a text from a friend saying her husband wants a divorce. She has a chronic lung condition, has been suffering from depression and severe anxiety, including attempting suicide last summer, and as a result hasn't worked for 18 months but can't claim PIP as isn't physically ill!!!! And possibly had other medical problems. Her dad has been paying for their food shopping. She was just starting to get better. Sh1t timing as if her life wasn't tough enough. Rather put the damper on things here. They have a teenage son. She's staying with a friend at the moment. She was at her parents as the steroids she is on has made her hyper, better than when she was depressed but hard work to be with 24/7 which she admits. I ended up spending an afternoon with her in A n E a few weeks ago as she was having adrenal surges - she's been refered to an endrichronologist. She said then things weren't great but given all the challenges that wasn't surprising, wasn't expecting this though

Richtea19 · 06/03/2016 19:36

apsar that's terrible. Devastating but especially because everything she is going through. Did she suspect anything? Must be another woman, it always is. Well don't you for being such a good friend

Richtea19 · 06/03/2016 19:36

Well "done" you! !!!!

apsara03 · 06/03/2016 20:02

Don't know. Hoping to see her tomorrow. X

KellyHb · 06/03/2016 20:31

Evening all.

Ah apsara so sorry to hear about your friend. Has her husband previously been very supportive?

Oo pix you get all the boys coming to your yard, JN and now Matthias. Yes get yourself in for some panel questions.

ilove thanks for asking. Mum's been doing really well apart from tiredness which doing the simplest thing wipes her out. Just this voice thing she had last week which has gotten better, its just turned into a cold which is unfortunate. I think my Dad is getting one too. Her check ups every few weeks have come back clear so far-touch wood!!!

Twins have been an absolute handful today so I'm glad they're in bed now. DH suggests we should separate them in two different reception classes so they're not winding each other up all the time. We'll see. My brains too fried today to think of the future yet.

mads had a glass of Prosecco and Ill have another one later, even though it's a school night Shock

Ilovelblue · 06/03/2016 20:33

apsara she's lucky to have friends like you to rely on. What dreadful news.

Watching Call the Midwife. It said at the beginning that it was a tearjerker. Got my tissues at the ready.

MaddieMoo82 · 06/03/2016 20:46

Oh aspara how awful for your friend Sad

Had a nice day. Roast at my parents was lovely and DS kept eveyone entertained. MrMads even did DSs lunch so I could have a shower and get ready in peace it's a Mother's Day miracle
Enjoy the prosecco kelly sounds like it's well earnt
Watching call the midwife too Sad

Ilovelblue · 06/03/2016 20:58

It certainly is a tearjerker. Gone through the tissues and had to grab the tea towel. Too much information, sorry.

Ilovelblue · 06/03/2016 21:00

Need to prepare a pudding now as have friends round for tea tomorrow. The Night Manager will have to wait till later in the week.

icemistOBE · 06/03/2016 21:09

Watched CTM wasn't as sad as I thought. Although the storyline with the thalidomide is very moving.

TG had tweeted tonight that he's on way to SA. And from sounds of it, all cast are there too. So excited now Grin

I think woof's pause finger will be getting a workout with tonight's episode of TNM.

MaddieMoo82 · 06/03/2016 21:37

I haven't really started TNM properly yet but that info pix makes me wish I had!!

Ilovelblue · 07/03/2016 00:00

OMG what a night. No chance of lights out. My friend/neighbour came across as I was getting ready for bed. The house next to her is being rented out to a young couple who had a baby 2 weeks ago. They were arguing in the street and the guy was threatening the girl with a knife. Never witnessed anything like it. At the point I said to ring the police, the girl ran to my neighbour's door so my neighbour went over and the guy who already had blood on his hands started screaming at her. Four police cars turned up and the guy was arrested. Nothing ever happens like this on my road. It's usually so quiet.

It'll be a while before I get to sleep I think.

Policemen are definitely getting younger. The two I spoke to couldn't have been more than 23/34.

kuiakaituhi · 07/03/2016 03:29

We don't have Mother's day till May. Shame, I could do with a bit of spoiling, and chocolate. We have an amazing Kiwi brand, Whittakers, apparently very popular in the States. Would be interested to see if you can get it in GB. Their choc/chili is amazing, called Kaitaia Fire. Kaitaia is a rural town in the North mostly renowned for growing amazing pot.

Was glad to get to my take on the reason for Sohail's self sacrifice. I think one of the strengths of the OG scripts is the ambiguity of so many of the characters, so that there are all sorts of possibilities with expanding the storylines and developing the characters. Clever, clever Tony Grounds. There are still another couple of possibilities but I'm a bit disabled with this bloody Carpal Tunnel issue. Can't get surgery till May, sadly. Might need to wait for the new series to write some more ff.It was a real physical struggle to finish the last bit, kept hitting 2 keys all the time.

Also just had an eye test to upgrade my glasses and found I've got early stage cataracts to come off, so will try to get both lots attended to at the same time.

Am feeling good, however,Have taken a "mental health day" off school just to get my head around this surgery stuff coming up.

News for SBW fans and of Liam Messam, Woof in particular

kuiakaituhi · 07/03/2016 03:37

Sorry, didn't finish. The lads are playing in the National 7's team getting ready for the Olympics and there are lots of photos of them looking very fine.
No Karitane suede jackets, lots of tight black, including leather. Our specially trained baby nurses who look after tiny babies at risk, used to be trained at Karitane Hospital. The word is used to describe the colour of what the nurses spend a lot of time cleaning up. Ask any kiwi over 30 years of age and they'll be able to tell you what Karitane yellow is.
No self respecting Kiwi male would wear a CJ/Heughan suede jacket!!

Ilovelblue · 07/03/2016 08:14

Morning all. Got to sleep eventually this morning and all's quiet now. The guy broke part of my friend's fence down in his rage. The police said he'd been drinking. I hope the girl and the baby have gone somewhere safe as I guess he'll be let out today. I keep wondering if I should have done more or whether it was too dangerous.

MaddieMoo82 · 07/03/2016 08:45

Morning all Smile
Blimey ilove what a night!! Hope you have managed to get some rest. I think getting there police there ASAP was the best thing you could have done and you did that. Poor lady and baby though Sad hope they have some where safe to stay now.
Hope everyone's Monday's go ok. Food shop to do this morning as didn't do it over the weekend and the cupboards are bare!

apsara03 · 07/03/2016 10:03

Gosh ilove. How scarlet for everyone. Hope the mum and baby are safe and get the long term support and security they need

KellyHb · 07/03/2016 10:12

Morning all.

Dear me ilove the poor girl. Yeah hope she is somewhere safe. Its awful when stuff like that happens in your street. We've witnessed a house party out of control/neighbours daughter arguing with her bf in the street etc. It does take a while to get any sleep.

Nipping out to dentists for a quick check up appt and then picking up the boys. This morning's going past quick.

MaddieMoo82 · 07/03/2016 10:28

Are you coping ok now kelly with eating etc? Has the whistling stopped?

Onlygirljen · 07/03/2016 10:56

Morning ladies. They even have the dreaded vomit suede jacket in tesco ladies wear...

KellyHb · 07/03/2016 11:05

Back in. Was only in dentists 5 mins. Wish all my apps there were like that. Yes I can eat okay now mads thanks. Luckily chocolate's the only thing that sticks a bit so I can't have much of that which is a good thing Smile Whistling stopped now too Grin

Oo jen that colour jacket gets everywhere. Although Sam H fills it out quite well.

pixieg1rl · 07/03/2016 11:28

Encouraging visit to the dentist kelly, glad to hear the tooth is settling down, though not good news about the chocolate. Mind you I could do with someone wiring my jaw shut, I've just eaten a load of cake because I'm bored.

Off work again today - tummy has settled down but I'm just wiped out. I didn't really do anything all weekend to be honest, mainly sat about feeling ill a lot of the time. I have a bit of a cold, but mainly I'm just knackered with no stamina for anything - simple things like getting dressed mean I have to sit down for 10 minutes to recover. I couldn't face how exhausting going into work was going to be, although how much work I have to do in the next month is making me feel very worried.

Did you buy one of the jackets jen? Grin

Onlygirljen · 07/03/2016 12:46

How could I resist pix?? The rather fetching matching skirt was tempting too...Grin
