Had a pretty good day (sickness aside), slept most of the morning, read a book for rest of the day. The school run wiped me out, counting the hours till MrP gets home

Oooh so glad it's Friday!!! Bloody awful week and feel pretty rough with aching joints and swollen glands. Really hoping I'm just a bit tired and not the lurgy. Off to bed to catch up on some much needed zzz's.
Glad you are on the mend pixie and that you managed to have a restful day. Hope MrP is back now.
Good luck with the exchange student richtea
Great news about brains heading out to SA.

Grin aspara

Ilovelblue · 05/03/2016 10:37

Tell you what Nickel, if I didn't know who those two were from our previous musings, I wouldn't have recognised them. They definitely look better in uniform!

Lovely day here today after the heavy snow followed by rain yesterday. Just put some washing out and about to go in the garden to finish clearing up. I have such an exciting life!

Have a good Saturday everyone.

MaddieMoo82 · 05/03/2016 12:07

Same ilove lovely and sunny and breezy here so plenty of laundry!

Brains has lovely hair at the mo!

cjwoofwoof · 05/03/2016 14:20

Ooh nick call me a dimwit but I don't have a clue who those two are - I usually only look from the waist down when they're in combats, unless it's CJ of course and then I'm partial to a fluffy helmet too. Please enlighten me coz I'm seriously rapidly losing interest Confused

apsara I reckon they're all told by their agents that diarrhoea suits them, and what's worse is, they listen Shock

Nickel45 · 05/03/2016 14:53

I know woof, they need hair cuts and combats, you might recognise dangles from his bum though!! It's Dangles and Brains, looks like 2 section (or at least some of them) are back on tour :-)

Ilovelblue · 05/03/2016 14:55

First lot of washing dried and front garden looking respectable. Also been in my neighbour's garden to prune my honeysuckle from his side as it's easier. He's not in. Not that he minds me going in, just the opposite, but if he sees me, he comes out to chat and he witters on and on anout stuff he's told me loads of times.

Excitement will be mounting in South Africa?

Rhubarb01 · 05/03/2016 14:56

Oh thank goodness woof I didn't know who they were either but was too ashamed to confess. I don't know who the bloke in the tan suede jacket is either - sure my Dad had one of those back in the 70's, though. Perhaps it's vintage! I reckon he had tan suede driving gloves with string on the back too - those were the days when you bought your Dad driving gloves for Christmas or maybe a pack of handkerchiefs with his initial embroidered and your mum got sandalwood bathcubes (I still love the smell of those!). I reckon they were just what we'd call cube shaped bath bombes now.

apsara03 · 05/03/2016 15:43

The tan jacket is on Sam Heughan- he's Jamie Fraser in outlander. Looks great in 18th century tartan but seems to have as much modern day dress sense as BA

mildperil · 05/03/2016 16:01

This one, minus the diarrhoea jacket, might be more to your taste woof. See, better already.

(It's Pix by the way, just had to name change for app testing)

Ilovelblue · 05/03/2016 17:17

Rhubarb I only recognised them because we've been talking about the guys going out to South Africa to film, but if we hadn't mentioned them on here, I am very doubtful I would have known who they were! Look much better in uniform in my humble opinion. However, I wouldn't have had a clue who the other man was at all (and like you, daren't ask!)

Great end to your ff too. It was a lovely treat when I came in for a drink mid-afternoon.

Stayed fine most of the day but started to rain about half an hour ago so that's put paid to my gardening I think. Hope to carry on tomorrow.

What has everyone else done today?

cjwoofwoof · 05/03/2016 17:37

That's more like it pixie-peril nice triangular shape, that's wot I likes.

Ditto rhu re presents in the 70s for parents. My Dad always had the blue vibrating hair gel in a tub, think it was called Clear Gel and it used to wobble/vibrate if you tapped the tub. I remember many a fight with my older brother over who got to tap it Confused I also remember my mum stockpiling supplies for my dad when it was discontinued in the 80s because he wouldn't wear brylcreem, irk!! My mum always had a 3-pack of Frys Chocolate Creams and Walnut Whips for Mothers Day and Birthday - they both taste like polystyrene these days Grin

pixieg1rl · 05/03/2016 18:52

Get to episode 12 of Outlander woof, and you'll get to see a lot more of that.

cjwoofwoof · 05/03/2016 19:27

Bah! Still stuck on Ep 5 pix and not a naked bicep in sight yet. Unfortunately, Manu in Shannara Chronicles is simply too tempting and takes precedence when I've got an hour to spare AND am alone to freeze frame ad hoc Confused

Nickel45 · 05/03/2016 19:31

I love walnut whips!

KellyHb · 05/03/2016 19:54

Evening all

Gah woof episode 5?? You're on the cusp of the joy that starts with episode 7 Grin. Ditto the tan jacket wasn't the best on Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser IRL). He definitely rocks the black leather jacket look better...

I meant to post earlier but had another busy Saturday. This morning went to Ikea as I wanted to look at their kitchen range but they didn't have much in then we went to the Metrocentre where I splashed out and bought the first two Outlander book. Ill try my hardest not to read ahead to any naughty bits.

Yes me thinks dangles will probably need a haircut.....

apsara03 · 05/03/2016 20:25

kelly I find the outlander books as addictive as fanfic. I've got seriously tired this week I've been reading so late. Bk 2 off eBay arrived this morning but will save that from when I'm away during Easter hols. They are good escapism rather than great works of fiction, for me it's my happy place Grin
Loving dangles' hair too - Sadly I don't think either boys hair will meet army regulations.
