Was naughty today and had a McDonalds for lunch but it was bloomin hard work eating with having this denture thing in. Won't be eating one of those again in a hurry unfortunately

Glad your DS is better today pix. Are you watching Grantchester tonight? I was going to but my Dad asked for me to take him to see the Dads Army film. It'll be nowhere near as good as the original film or tv series but I'll take him anyway. Trouble is now I can't eat pic and mix or chocolate, I'll be asleep within five minutes of the film starting!

I've yet to confirm its definitely tonight I'm going but I think it finishes end of this week. Judging by that trailer I hope I'm not going. Cor pix if I saw JN in those shorts coming out the river, I'd have to give him mouth to mouth even if he didn't need it

I didn't see JN in his shorts; I saw the dog and Robson Greene though. A couple that I got chatting to had watched them film that scene. I must say he fills his shorts well

Hope all the little people are feeling better today. Such a cold day. I've been home most of the day trying to sort out paperwork crappy stuff. Also trying to find a holiday, which I've obviously left too late as everything I find isn't available or over budget!! I managed to sort other bits and pieces out but of course have left my ironing mountain!!

Options eve at school tonight for little DS. My delightful DH isn't coming because of a pressing engagement with football to watch... Grrrr really annoyed.

I have a parent evening tomorrow for DS, MrP has chosen to be away. Just as he was away for the last one. I'm feeling grr about it too. He has a knack of not being around for such things.

We really need to pull our fingers out and start thinking about holidays as well.

I even missed the last episode of Deutschland 83 after watching it all. Thanks for the advice about W&P Kelly I probably won't watch but I read the plot synopsis anyway so I know what happens in the end. I see there's a new costume drama starting on Sunday (Anthony Trollope - Dr Thorne?) however, it's up against TNM and also stars Tom Hollander - I like him but he's not my idea of a romantic hero (sorry Tom!)

Sorry little ones are poorly all round - for goodness sake what is wrong with everything at the moment? We need some nice warm dry weather to kill all the bugs off (even my aforementioned dog has a D &V bug at the moment and is on medication - probably explains some of grouchy, snappy mood at times a bit like the rest of us). Glad things are looking up for your Aunty Kelly. I remember you saying about her kidney problems a while back.

Liked the poem ice. If we attempted to write a rhyming version of what's happened on this thread since it started it would be like a Norse Saga - Now I'm thinking 'Noggin the Nog'. Anyone remember him? - I bet you do Woof in fact it's probably a euphemism at Woof Towers isn't it - "Sorry I can't get to the phone I'm just noggin the nog!"

Darn it - I forgot to watch the start distracted by DD coming in after training. I'm now going to have to wait for plus one at 10pm as I like the full experience!

Thought I would watch Grantchester thanks to all your recommendations. Not watched it before so not sure if there's anything I need to know from the previous series.

I've had a filthy headache for the past two days, almost bordering on migraine as I keep feeling very sick with it. Paracodol just isn't shifting it. Our office is full of lurgy, but mainly coughs and colds (been there, seen it and done it, thank you).

The weather was dreadful this morning and although the snow went quite quickly, it turned to slush and driving wasn't great. We now have a very strong and howling wind.

I had a little windfall of £120 today! Not sure whether to be frivolous or whether to be sensible and put it towards my new bathroom or at least use it for my euros for the end of next week going to Majorca.

What did you think of Gramchester ilove? I missed most of it as kids wouldn't go to bed, so will watch in peace tomorrow! Hope you are feeling better today x

Kids have gone off to WBD, DD in a football kit! Obviously! She did ask if she could be Mowgli and go in her pants, but thought that might not be the best idea!!! Kids, gotta love 'em else you'd strangle 'em!!

I fell asleep Nickel but that was less to do with James Norton and more to do with my headache. It's not as bad today but it's still there. It seems it could be menopausal - not had a period for over 6 months but still get some other symptoms. Sorry if that's far too much information.

I'm having an eye test this afternoon. It was booked a while ago but it's probably quite good to go when I'm experiencing a bad headache at the same time.

I haven't watched Granchester yet as I had options eve (depressing!) dad over tonight so unlikely I will watch until the weekend. We have a German exchange student arriving tomorrow... Why did I ever agree to that?? We are so busy at the moment, poor kid will just have to fit in!

Lovely sunny day here, although not so warm for me to venture in the garden, maybe that ironing pile might have to get done!

Hope everyone's little people have fun in their costumes today. nickel my two always went in football kits!

Luckily our school has opted out of costumes for WBD this year. I have to find something red white & blue for him to wear tomorrow for French day though.

Gorgeous day here, so much work to do so I won't be outside enjoying any of it.

Afternoon all.

Busy time here trying to get the kids to eat their dinner. Spent all morning hanging around a car garage waiting for the MOT to be done! It was a lot cheaper than what I thought it would be which was good. I read whajebs latest chapter and I had the biggest smile on my face while reading it and all the men who I was sat next to must've thought 'what's up with her?'

Our kids haven't had to dress up for WBD. DD had the book shop trip but the boys just had to take their favourite book in to show the others.
