Afternoon all.
Hope everyone's rubbish Mondays have been ok.
kelly car tax always creeps up on you doesn't it?! I'm opting to pay by DD from this month and couldn't really afford to fork out for the yearly payment.
Was really enjoying TNM but was so bloody knackered last night I fell asleep half way through and woke up on the sofa at 1am Angry grrr. Will have to try and catch up later in the week.
Right best go and baste my chicken Smile

Doesn't sound unreasonable to me pixie, having said that alcohol when I'm tired just leads to early naps on the sofa! Hmm

No ilove time got away from me this weekend, but I was off today so have roasted a chicken and have loads of leftovers I can use this week plus have planned better using slow cooker and pasta dishes, so should be an easier week meal wise! Smile

Thanks to the recommendations on here we watched TNM ep 1 on iplayer last night, and watched Ep 2 tonight. I didn't know TH before but am I allowed to say he's the first actor/character to have picqued my interest since BA/CJ? I also thought some of his facial expressions and mannerisms in Ep 1 were a bit reminiscent of a certain captain!

I'm a bit confused about what Olivia Coleman's enforcement agency is supposed to be - any clues anyone? Hmm

Evening all! Very late look-in but I've just finished some work I had to get done tonight so I thought I'd check in.

Always I've got to say I'm not quite sure what Olivia Coleman does either. Actually, I was quite confused about why Jonathan went to Devon as well and what all that was about including taking another name on top of the false one he'd already got - why Devon for goodness sake? However, I do have a little tale to tell about the cottage he was staying in. It's at Hartland Point in Devon and you can hire it. I've walked past it myself along that track at the back as there's a very nice walk along the headland and it was also used in the BBC production of Sense and Sensibility as tehe Dashwood's cottage but they put a false front on it and only used it for exterior shots. I had been staying down there and got the shock of my life a couple of months later when the cottage appeared on TV as my friend had taken the hire details down because it was such a nice location right on the beach. I'm not sure if the interior was real - it looked a bit ropey so I expect that was studio. Anyway, still a bit confused about it but I'll watch next week and I still like his angsty face even with the bruises!

Hi rhu, we were there last year! Not staying there, but close by, had a fab day at the Abbey though, and lovey walk down to the point. . Just caught up with the last few charpters of your ff ... You are amazing, such brilliant writing.

Ps. Glad I'm not the only one getting confused with TNM ... I was wondering whether I should have read the book firat?!

We have come to the conclusion that we will need to watch TNW each week and then do a binge watch of the series at the end as this is a john le carre tale so at some stage I really won't have a clue what is going on! Think the Devon part is putting reality on his back story so that when he is checked out it has depth. For a heavily pregnant woman OC is getting around the globe quite well!Hmm

Morning from a very wet Lancashire. It's been torrential all night.

I was also getting a bit confused with TNM. I thought I wasn't concentrating properly as I was also putting a couple of things on eBay at the same time. Maybe multi-tasking isn't always a good idea.

DS sent back from school with D&V this morning. I made it 10 minutes down the road. Extra bonus points for it being a week when MrP is away with work. First load of washing is on, I'm fully stocked with napisan and about to dettox every surface.

Can't take his photo unfortunately as he is a looker but not supposed to have phones in department... Hmm

He's acquainting himself with this part of the department for the day and I was more than happy to show him the ropes... He does seem very experienced Wink. Seriously though he is rather fit. Im wondering if it would be inappropriate to get him to reach down into one of the low cupboards to get something so I can have a better view of his butt Shock I think he might guess what I'm up too... He knows he is fit!

pix hope DS is better soon. When does Grantchester start? JN was on Radio1 this morning apparently.

Was doing jobs around the house last night and then visiting a friend this morning as soon as I dropped kids off at school. She's got a fancy new kitchen so I was 'oohing' and 'aahing' every 3 seconds.

I need to watch episode 1 of TNM. Haven't started it yet but if it's a complicated plot, I'll be watching it at night when my concentration levels are extremely low so it may take some time. Shock
