Ooh kel methinks your parents aren't keen! I seem to be gaining kids rather than getting rid. You'd think teenagers would be chomping at the bit to sling their hook at half term, but no, I've acquired feeding duties for The Girlfriend despite only having a kettle and one tin of beans to go round everyone whilst Matthias the kitchen is stripped down to nothing, plus three 12-year-olds have just rolled up to destroy my only uncluttered living space play PS4, expecting tea and buns I'm guessing. Humph, might take the dog out in the rain just to get away from them all, but the lure of Matthias in just a hi viz hard hat and work boots is tempting me to feast on those beans

pix glad DS is better and everything done today.

Surprisingly managed to get a fair bit done today by avoiding distractions of the Tv, phone, book etc. Just ironing to tackle before picking DS up later. I relented and rang the nursery to be told he was happily playing and not crying and happily managed to get super cheap work trousers from primani.

Matthias has sorted out my plumbing until it flowed quite freely, so I'm celebrating with a cuppa of freshly boiled tea straight from the tap. Feels a bit random not needing a kettle, but hey ho that's progress.

DH has now returned from work unexpectedly, thus ruining my party, so Matthias has had to make a hasty retreat whilst I pretend I've been hard at it, which of course is actually true

Right off to paint cupboard doors in DS2s bedroom with Annie Sloane chalk paint. Hope it works. Lady At shop said to phone her and she'll talk me through it. Not sure if it's a good thing and she's being super helpful or she knows I'll have problems!

Oo very posh woof hot water from the tap or am I behind the times? I love having workmen in especially if I'm lucky enough to get some fairly half decent looking ones in. I remember some cute electricians coming in when we were getting the garage converted. I all of a sudden developed a huge interest in which tool of theirs is the biggest and how they like to use it

Oh parents came round eventually. I let them off with the lateness as Mam brought round all the twins trousers for school she'd adjusted. DD put a gingerbread house together with my Mam which the boys tried in vain to eat before it was finished.

kuia I've never been accused of ironing before! If you can't shake it out, DH irons it... Just have to deal with crisp ironed in creases in anything with sleeves.
Dog is now hogging a very tanned but tired DH. Peace and quiet for me then.
Glad pixlet is better, and kelly I'd be joining your boys in the house eating. Impressed with everyone's busy ness.
