That MP is something else Maddie. I've never heard of him before, but wow, I'd listen to him canvassing any time.

I'm off on a spa weekend Sunday/Monday. My friend has organised it and I only bothered to ask her yesterday what the treatments are - seems she's gone for a detox weekend. Hope it's not all going to be kale juice and similar. I rang the hotel to find out if I could change to something more relaxing and they said I could, but when I priced up the treatments, it seems this detox package is actually good value for money. Hopefully, I'll return home half a stone lighter and having lost two inches off my waist!

pixie I've PMd you about the plants so if you can respond, I will hopefully send them off on Saturday morning for you. Hope little pixlet is raring to go again before long.

ilove I have recorded diy sos, didn't feel emotionally stable enough to watch it tonight, it breaks me usually. I had a detox wrap at a spa a couple of years ago. I was basted in loads of seaweed stuff and wrapped in tinfoil like a turkey for 30 mins. I did feel a lot better for it though!

Have reached the conclusion I am the only female to have never had any sort of spa anything, excluding the local spar!

I once went to a spa hotel with a friend from work. I'd really wanted to have the Turkish bath but she wouldn't do it with me so I booked it just for myself. The chap was in fact Turkish and came in wearing a track suit to explain what he would do. My friend was insistent he was gay but I wasn't convinced. I had my swimming costume on fortunately throughout but it wasn't relaxing. Let's just say when he reappeared he was wearing nothing but a sarong and it was very clear he wasn't gay. I was mortified.

Eek, spa envy cured ilove!

It was definitely a one-off mooj. Any other spa treatments have been done by female therapists. I've dined out on that story many times since but I can still blush thinking about it. Basically, I was lying there on a marble slab with just a thin sarong separating me from his manhood!

Sounds like he really gave his all to his work ilove! Thank goodness he knew how to tie a sarong so it stayed on.

Funny story ilove. I went to Istanbul (pre DH, many moons ago) and my friend and I went to a traditional Turkish bath house. We saw Judith Chalmers at one with a hot looking Turk, giving her a rub down and then she was floating around in a white fluffy robe. I was rubbed down by a 20stone Turkish woman with a beard and then given the smallest roughest loping T towel to wrap myself in. Not quite "wish you were here"!!

Aspara I've Annie Sloaned loads! Will be happy to share any tips. I updated all our old pine bedroom furniture.

I was laughing at your funny story ilove, yes he did sound dedicated to his job. Imagine if a lovely CJ type one worked in my local one, I'd be straight there.

First sunny day this week, so going to take the kids out to the local train station, as they're obsessed with watching the trains go past. When the kids wave, I keep thinking we look like something off The Railway Children

DS decided to randomly wake for 2hrs between 3-5am this morning . It's finished me off so coffee is definately the order of the day here!

Lovely MP mercer, he definately doesn't look as good in his suit as he does in his combats unfortunately but yes I bet his missus got him to keep some of his army uniform for 'special occasions'

I think the strangest (as opposed to unnerving with the Turkish bath) treatment I ever had was on holiday in Antwerp a few years back. It was a lovely hotel and the weather was awful so we went for a treatment in the hotel spa. Unusually for Belgians, this woman only spoke Flemish so as neither of us understood the other, we communicated just by gestures. She was built like a Russian shotputter and when she massaged my back, I thought she was going to break my spine. I didn't realise but she also practised Reiki and it was a weird feeling when my back started to get really warm and she wasn't even touching me. I did feel good afterwards but she was hardly the sort of woman to put you at ease.

Yes that was one of them mads. While searching for the the other pic I've found a much better pic of JN.

mads JN stood next to a load of carpets!! This gives me a huge temptation to get him round here to lay my shag pile down in the living room. It needs a good thrusting to get into those hard to reach areas.

Hmm don't know how that pic got out from my private collection, pix , it was taken just after he'd caused a complete gush in my plumbing and had to bung the hole up somehow. Thank God for those firm-grip gloves or there could've been full scale leakage

I've got Manu here today hanging his very large spotlights all over the place. Don't worry though, I've been very helpful, holding them aloft to keep them from dangling. I don't want Manu to turn them on too soon either, or they may blow and explode prematurely
