Does anyone remember who won last year? I wonder if they actually have a career in interior design now?

cosmicglittergirl · 23/02/2016 07:35

It was a dull offering last night, I was only half watching it. The Japanese room was my least favourite, it just looked bitty and unfinished. I liked the blue, but it was too safe. I would have liked to have seen more from Nancy.

DoreenLethal · 23/02/2016 08:50

I watched the last 15 mins last night and what a diabolical load of codswaddle. Honestly, I am happy that I didn't stay in and watch it. Dullsville.

annandale · 23/02/2016 09:01

I was so sure that Anne the Japanese room person would go that I almost stopped watching. How could they have chucked Nadia out? She had the best ideas by a long chalk as well as an actual design, rather than a paint colour. Yes it did look a bit unfinished but FGS Anne hadn't got any doors on the wardrobe!

I would have chucked Tali out for that unrelenting blue. Blue plus a lamp? could have done that myself but wouldn't have done

I kind of hope they have a 'top loser' wild card thing so they can bring back Jamie, he would have wiped the floor with any of that lot. But Nadia could have surprised them.

ppeatfruit · 23/02/2016 09:15

annandale You forgot the wallpaper on the bedside tables Grin Grin

I'm waiting for the designer who puts 'teal' and orange together!!!!

Told you the 60s\70s are back. Orange was HUGE then STDGIs Grin

MrsJamin · 23/02/2016 09:16

Yes to all of these comments, they were all bad but nadia wasn't the worst.

member · 23/02/2016 09:18

I think the right person went. Much as Anne didn't get the wardrobe doors ack on and her frayed bunting was a mess, she was at least hands on. Nadia's room had the potential to be an amazing, whimsical flight of fancy but all she did was pour green paint into white till the correct shade was obtained. The painter and builder did it all, if she hadn't had the up cycle challenge, there wouldn't have been a table.

I do think Anne will probably be next to go; making it up as you go doesn't cut it!

annandale · 23/02/2016 09:20

Bloody hell, she actually DOES have a career in interior design Sarah Moore

That was unexpected after The Voice and all those programmes whose winners sink without trace.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 23/02/2016 09:23

Good for her. This years lot aren't so promising, I suppose they are amateurs to be fair.

ppeatfruit · 23/02/2016 09:26

True member also walking about in a dream doesn't cut it. Anne looked like she'd overdone the substances in the 60s\70s! (sorry) Grin

bibliomania · 23/02/2016 09:40

Sad to see Nadia go - she had the most interesting vision for the room.

The Japanese room looked messy - as soon as the little girl added her own clutter to it, it could look a nightmare very quickly.

ppeatfruit · 23/02/2016 10:33

I think that if there hadn't been a 3 day limit, Nadia's could have been best, she obviously didn't organise her time properly. It must be hard when you're new.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 23/02/2016 11:53

I wonder if the owners are told that they can't completely reject the designer's plans? Because if I had asked for a calm sanctuary with no bold prints, and got orange chevrons, I would have sent the designer back to the drawing board - there's no way I would have gone ahead with that design.

Frankly, having had teenagers, I have had enough boundary pushing to last me a lifetime, and would have no truck with any more from a designer.

absolutelynotfabulous · 23/02/2016 13:14

I couldn't believe Nadia went. Her design was by far the best, imho. The Japanese room was just a mess, and the orange room was just a grey room with some orange in it. I quite liked the Moroccan one too, actually-it looked exactly as you expected it to.

OhShutUpThomas · 23/02/2016 13:51

Am I missing something???

It wasn't on at all here last week (Wales) and last night it was the one with the dark green in the cottages???

OhShutUpThomas · 23/02/2016 13:51

If everyone else is now a week ahead I'll have to leave the thread Sad

ppeatfruit · 23/02/2016 14:02

In different areas they show different programmes at varying times don't they OhshutUp.? Don't leave the thread Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 23/02/2016 14:07

Could you watch it on iPlayer?

OhShutUpThomas · 23/02/2016 14:10

But I'm a whole week behind! So I can't look st the thread any more as it will spoil it! What a bloody stupid idea from the BBC

absolutelynotfabulous · 23/02/2016 14:19

thomas the Snooker was on last week, so no programme. I couldn't get it on Catchup either. I'm up to date now, though. Weird.

Snoopadoop · 23/02/2016 17:50

I thought Nadia's was awful. Anyone could have come up with the concept after 2 minutes on Pinterest and then she executed it badly. I believe she deserved to go and the Japan themed lady wasn't far behind. This week I don't rate any of them.

SingSongSlummy · 23/02/2016 18:12

Ha Lois just saw your pic - not far off the truth!

GetSchwifty · 23/02/2016 19:17

The fireplace with the flowers looked awful!

GrouchyKiwi · 23/02/2016 19:19

So did her window seat cushion!

MrsJamin · 23/02/2016 19:21

Tally looks like she designs for Next.
