How can you have sexy time with that bed table thing?

Wolpertinger · 22/02/2016 19:50

Same discussion in our house Pipbin Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 22/02/2016 19:51

The orange room did look quite good but that table is a bit rubbish.

Did not get a Moroccan vibe from Talie's room.

GrouchyKiwi · 22/02/2016 19:54

I want a tree bed thingy for my two girls now! I loved elements of that room, but the judges are right about it being a bit bare.

No doors on Japan Room's wardrobe! There is far too much going on in there. Love the floor.

Wolpertinger · 22/02/2016 19:58

Love the floor in the Japan room. Prob the most original thing today although the over all room was a bit of a mess.

TheSpottedZebra · 22/02/2016 19:59

No! I loved the tree.

The Morocco room was tedious. She should have gone.

TheSpottedZebra · 22/02/2016 20:00

Also, I cannot wait to see the extreme orange Chez Slummy.

Wolpertinger · 22/02/2016 20:01

Right decision I thought. Tree was a great idea but executed poorly. Lacking in magic - looked like my dad had done it with plywood one weekend and I think they were expecting more than that.

SingSongSlummy · 22/02/2016 20:03

'Tis indeed extreme Zebra That dude was just an amateur Tango-er (I actually liked his room).

TheSpottedZebra · 22/02/2016 20:08
Shock
OTheHugeManatee · 22/02/2016 20:08

What? I thought that was Slummy's house, with all that orange. D'you mean someone further along goes even more orange? Shock

OTheHugeManatee · 22/02/2016 20:11

I was disappointed that Nadia went instead of whatserface with the alarming birds nest hair. I thought Nadia's scheme was a bit bare but she had loads of potential, while BirdsNest's scheme was a mixture of chaotic, unfinished and in places eye-bleedingly naff.

CremeEggThief · 22/02/2016 20:40

I'm really surprised at tonight's. IMO, Nadia was the most creative. The judges didn't seem at all keen on Tali's room and Anne's project management wasn't great (I liked her room, but the walls could have been painted a strong colour, as the Japanese accessories didn't really work with so much white).

ppeatfruit · 22/02/2016 21:11

I agree creme Nadias's tree was clever but unfinished. The children loved it which was the most important aspect IMO and then THEY could finish it Grin.

Ann's was a bit babyish for an 8 yr old actually, my GD is just 9 and hates all things pink now. Actually the fringed bunting DID look like it'd been done by an 8 yr old too!! I don't want to sound mean but she's 60 fgs her whole look and style was a bit immature.

Yes Craig and Tali's were not exciting in ANY way . Wrong person went home.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 22/02/2016 21:53

Oh for the love of William Morris! This show is like Changing Rooms meets Why Don't You? I'm saying this from my boring semi but cripes I didn't like much again this week. Nadia shouldn't have gone, I agree she had potential.

OTheHugeManatee · 22/02/2016 21:56

I do particularly enjoy it when they're all a bit crap though Grin

My money's on BirdsNest to go next, she's rubbish. I'm rooting for the Orange Man from this batch. Tally was just mildly annoying. And imagine if she's ever up against Breton top woman who did the Scandi box bed. I would struggle to tell them apart Confused

OTheHugeManatee · 22/02/2016 21:57

In fact Tally was so bland l can't even think of a rude nickname for her.

mrsmeerkat · 22/02/2016 21:59

Nadia's room was my favourite. I do agree it seemed very unfinished but its the design that counts .

The blue room was awful.

I hated the Orange room pannelling above the window.

The Japanese room.. too much

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 22/02/2016 22:06

The blue room was awful

Why on earth did she pick a cool shade that clashed with the exposed warm coloured beams?! Its decorating 101. Pick Colours That Go.

catwithflowers · 22/02/2016 22:19

Oh gosh, they were all pretty rubbish tonight. I though the least offensive was the grey and orange room although I really disliked the zig zags. Moroccan room was really dull, Japanese room was really cheesy and the tree room half finished. I hope it gets better than this. Can't wait to see Slummy's Tango Nightmare. (How long before you redecorated Slummy? Grin)

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 22/02/2016 23:29

I hated, hated, HATED the orange chevrons. And the over-bed table. And the orange. And the grey walls. None of it said restful sanctuary to me.

If I had been the home owner, I would have vetoed the chevrons and the orange right at the start.

And there is an evil bit of me that wants a homeowner to veto most of the design, just to see what happens.

Pigeonpost · 22/02/2016 23:31

I swear the most exciting thing about this series is waiting for Slummy's room and being able to say "oooh I 'know' her, she's a MN'er". I reckon the mum of the tree bed girls is a MNer too.

I am sick to the back teeth of the 'surprise' upcycle element. It is not a fucking surprise, they have done it in every previous series. Yawn. Loving the continuity spotters on here with the junk van though.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 22/02/2016 23:39

Slummy needed a lie down after filming...

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 22/02/2016 23:40

Sorry slummy couldn't resist Grin

This crop were pretty dire tonight; fairly safe ideas & insipid personalities. The intro seemed to give away who the final 2 would be.
