Anyone else put it on series record?

DH said, "You can tell it's January when deluded escapism is back on!"

I love it, but have no intention of ever moving to Oz.

Ah, the family bit. Wonder why he and his mother were nc for years - and if that was anything to do with him wanting to emigrate.

nancy75 · 12/01/2016 11:42

So glad I found this thread - I need to rant about yesterdays episode - why didn't they just move closer to London!!! By the time they have paid for flights, moving furniture and sorting visas they could have paid about 6 months rent in a london suburb and he could have come home every day

Luckystar1 · 12/01/2016 11:42

A newborn and a 3/4 year old with no help when you're used to family around and DH at work trying to build up his reputation.... Good one!

I think he's going to vote UK and she's going to vote NZ!

Luckystar1 · 12/01/2016 11:44

Balls I was wrong!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 12/01/2016 12:15

I'm watching on catchup. He's clearly got a romanticized view of living abroad. I really think many of these applicants are after a free holidayGrin

Luckystar1 · 12/01/2016 13:05

They had a boy and stayed at home - very sensible!

RebootYourEngine · 12/01/2016 18:12

The guy today behaved like a right stroppy teenager when they were looking at houses.

I would like to see a copy of the finance sheet that they use. To see how in depth the comparisons are.

breward · 12/01/2016 21:32

Is anyone else nosey like me and freeze frames the financial page and has a good look on what thing actually cost and what they spend money on?

OP posts:
Luckystar1 · 12/01/2016 22:00

Eh no! But that's definitely something to do tomorrow!

HairsprayQueen · 12/01/2016 22:04

I do like this programme and all but after so many series I do wonder how long the BBC will keep us watching arguably exactly the same show every day!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 12/01/2016 22:53

breward That's genius! and a tiny bit sad Grin
Wish they would do Wanted Somewhere Other Than Down Under. I agree its getting samey.

Oldraver · 13/01/2016 11:06

Do they seem to be pushing the 'relationship breaker' angle ? this last week

RooftopCat · 13/01/2016 11:36

Nice enough couple but a pretty dull episode.

salsamummy · 13/01/2016 15:37

They split up!

Humphriescushion · 13/01/2016 15:41

Really? Watched this morning and could not take to the woman at all. They did not seem suited.

PurpleHairAndPearls · 14/01/2016 10:57

I love Wanted Down Under - or as DH and I call it "Just Fuck Off Then" Grin We particularly like the Reality Check "that's it, chicken nuggets are £3 we are not going" Wink

I watch it on Iplayer though so have just watched the one with the electrical engineer who had A DREAM and kept crying over perfectly fine houses. I found him extremely irritating tbh.

Yes, I agree with the STOP YOUR KIDS JUMPING ON THE BEDS too Smile

Oldraver · 14/01/2016 11:04

I was gobsmacked at how picky the guy was, who was effectively living with his future MIL...HE seemed to want a great big four bed with pool as his first house

PurpleHairAndPearls · 14/01/2016 11:09

Yes, the one living with his MIL was a bit Hmm. DH reckons even though they split, and she went abroad, he is still living with the MIL Smile

Oldraver · 14/01/2016 11:15

I like this couple...

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 14/01/2016 11:17

that's it, chicken nuggets are £3 we are not going" Grin

I don't blame todays woman for not wanting to move again.

KathyBeale · 15/01/2016 14:37

I'm gorging on the latest episodes on iPlayer. WDU is my guilty pleasure - I absolutely love it, but no one I know in real life shares my enthusiasm! So pleased to have found all of you.

MrsHooolie · 15/01/2016 17:05

Great programme!I also have it in series link.

DP always says 'of course you love if,you're on fucking holiday for a week'!

Luckystar1 · 18/01/2016 11:08

Oh this will be a good one!

Floralnomad · 18/01/2016 11:21

Don't think the BBC should be paying for this type of applicant , they can test out Australia anytime , presumably she has family / friends that they could stay with - absolute waste of time and money .

Luckystar1 · 18/01/2016 11:27

But when you stay with family/friends it's a holiday. They're here to sample what life might be like for them as a couple.

And it makes good telly!!
