So glad I found this thread - I need to rant about yesterdays episode - why didn't they just move closer to London!!! By the time they have paid for flights, moving furniture and sorting visas they could have paid about 6 months rent in a london suburb and he could have come home every day

A newborn and a 3/4 year old with no help when you're used to family around and DH at work trying to build up his reputation.... Good one!

I'm watching on catchup. He's clearly got a romanticized view of living abroad. I really think many of these applicants are after a free holiday

They had a boy and stayed at home - very sensible!

The guy today behaved like a right stroppy teenager when they were looking at houses.

I would like to see a copy of the finance sheet that they use. To see how in depth the comparisons are.

Is anyone else nosey like me and freeze frames the financial page and has a good look on what thing actually cost and what they spend money on?

I do like this programme and all but after so many series I do wonder how long the BBC will keep us watching arguably exactly the same show every day!

Really? Watched this morning and could not take to the woman at all. They did not seem suited.

I watch it on Iplayer though so have just watched the one with the electrical engineer who had A DREAM and kept crying over perfectly fine houses. I found him extremely irritating tbh.

I was gobsmacked at how picky the guy was, who was effectively living with his future MIL...HE seemed to want a great big four bed with pool as his first house

Yes, the one living with his MIL was a bit . DH reckons even though they split, and she went abroad, he is still living with the MIL

Don't think the BBC should be paying for this type of applicant , they can test out Australia anytime , presumably she has family / friends that they could stay with - absolute waste of time and money .

But when you stay with family/friends it's a holiday. They're here to sample what life might be like for them as a couple.

And it makes good telly!!
