Anyone else put it on series record?

DH said, "You can tell it's January when deluded escapism is back on!"

I love it, but have no intention of ever moving to Oz.

Not sure if pt. Good luck to them but seems risky to me. The moving costs are apparently really high. A mnetter on a previous wdu thread said it was about 1-2k

Luckystar1 · 08/01/2016 11:57

I just cry every single time their families come on screen.

And I don't live in the same country as my family!

I think what they really don't appreciate when they have lived close to family, is just how difficult it is to have to do every single thing for your family by yourself (with you DH). It's extremely hard.

salsamummy · 08/01/2016 12:28

Julie just replied to my comment on the WDU Facebook page!!! Said it's financially tough over there and she is starting uni February. They are enjoying the beach though and the good weather!

Rivercam · 08/01/2016 18:33

There's a WDU facebook page? Didn't know that.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 09/01/2016 01:10

salsa Cool! Smile

Vagndidit · 11/01/2016 10:11

I would thInk moving costs to Oz would be well into the high thousands. We paid over £5500 for moving expenses, not to mention several Thousand more in visa fees when we moved to the Uk from the US a few years ago.

And yeah, I think all these people underestimate just how hard it is to move somewhere with no famiLy or friend support.

MrsJayy · 11/01/2016 11:02

Oh its a save a marraige episode that cant be good.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 11/01/2016 11:17

I missed the start, why is moving to Australia going to help?

Luckystar1 · 11/01/2016 11:22

Would they not be better moving to somewhere commutable to London?

Pegglebot · 11/01/2016 11:40

I thought that LuckyStar1. I don't think she's going to be able to leave her Mum...

MrsJayy · 11/01/2016 11:42

Oh really dreary episode She is so emotional and simon looks done in im sure there is welding jobs not in London

Luckystar1 · 11/01/2016 11:45

Jesus I would not move round the world to do a junior level of the job I did at home!

Best of luck to all of them. I think I would move as we have no family nearby anyway, but it's already full of Irish people, they probably wouldn't want me!

MrsJayy · 11/01/2016 11:53

She could try for a term time job anywhere

Luckystar1 · 11/01/2016 11:59

It all just seems so awfully drastic. I can understand why they feel they need to take such huge steps I just hope it works out for them!

MrsJayy · 11/01/2016 12:22

Yeah I hope they work something out

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 11/01/2016 14:18

Lucky Apparently there are more Irish people outside of Ireland than in it Grin I would love to live in Ireland!

Luckystar1 · 11/01/2016 16:07

Lois, it is literally ALWAYS raining. But on a nice day, it's the most beautiful place on earth!

SignoraStronza · 12/01/2016 11:18

Oh dear. Think this one has realised he'll need to pull his finger out and do a bit of diy. By the looks of both of them (and yes, I know she's pg) they aren't wanting to move to NZ for the outdoor lifestyle!

Shockat letting the child jump all over the bed during the viewing.

Oldraver · 12/01/2016 11:19

Gosh, this guy ina whingebag

And why oh why do people let their kids junp around on other peoples property

ShangriLaLaLa · 12/01/2016 11:22

Yesterday children jumping in a pool, fully clothed. Today bouncing wildly on a bed. Don't know if I can watch this programme any more.

Don't understand this guy's rationale either...

Oldraver · 12/01/2016 11:30

I am really surprised the social work salary is less in NZ

Luckystar1 · 12/01/2016 11:31

Nikki is looking positively teenage today!

Oldraver · 12/01/2016 11:33

I'm assuming Nikki's segments are all recorded on one day with dress changes in between. She does have some nice dresses

SignoraStronza · 12/01/2016 11:35

Now to see if they've factored childcare for two into the finances.

Oldraver · 12/01/2016 11:38

I wasn't paying too much attention, but wern't they looking at houses circa £250,000 ? Thats a big jump from the £110,000 they have in England
