Thanks all for the nice comments - face has gone down but generally not feeling too hot today, would really like some form of positive rash to support the diagnosis, think I got in there early!
Made to feel a bit better by the ff update from whaj although she has left us on one hell of a cliff hanger.

Like you ilove Milk Tray should be calling for BA after that clip on Graham Norton, think we have probably seen the bit where he comes to his demise though - certainly don't think many wouldn't have been swimming after that tumble!

Well done pix for tackling the stuff - DS goes back to uni tomorrow so we can then start to reclaim our house back!

Ilovelblue · 10/01/2016 09:56

Whrn I had shingles BK I felt 'off' rather than ill. I always thought that the rash itched like mad but mine didn't at all.

How are the germs in the Kelly household today?

Torrential rain again in the early hours and the rain gauge is half full again. I emptied it yesterday morning.

pixieg1rl · 10/01/2016 10:39

Ilove's shingles experience sounds a lot like my FIL's. He was generally under the weather and had sensitive patches rather than a rash. Sounds like a bit of rest is in order BK.

Rough night here, DS wet the bed so came in with us. He kept on waking every hour or so to fiddle with my hair and ask me questions about Darth Vader. Still, it was my turn for a lie in and MrP has taken him to rugby this morning so I can at least have a shower in peace

Richtea19 · 10/01/2016 10:45

Glad things are on the mend BK and it sounds like you were lucky to catch the diagnosis early.

The rain has been ridiculous, the porch has old towels soaking up water aka make shift sand bags. My poor DS doing basic outdoor survival this weekend, not the best weather!

All I did yesterday was drink tea and eat biscuits. The only cure for a hangover! And today off to spend the night with a friend whose daughter is in Panto. It's her last night so in going to see her and then stay over. Must not drink!!!

Ilovelblue · 10/01/2016 11:23

Having a clearout like pixie just now. I have two vouchers if anyone can use them. 15% off at White Stuff and £10 off a £40 shop at Joules. No end date as far as I can tell on Joules but 24/1 at White Stuff on full priced goods.

MaddieMoo82 · 10/01/2016 11:30

Oh I'm impressed with all the clearing and sorting! Can't face it at the mo... Confused

Sunny here for the first time in ages (was awful last night) so standard Sunday of nice walk and big food shop. Might pop to my parents so they can entertain DS and I can lie on the sofa!

pixieg1rl · 10/01/2016 12:09

Causing untold trauma to DS by taking down the Xmas decorations. It's going to be a long day

pixieg1rl · 10/01/2016 12:10

Mads, I'm clearing stuff I've had since before DS was born. It's long overdue

Ilovelblue · 10/01/2016 12:15

Maddie my indoor sorting was short lived. I've been working outside since chopping back the blackberry and tayberry and may make a start on the wisteria after my coffee. Like you, we're seeing some sun here at the moment.

BK28 · 10/01/2016 12:50

Pleased to see some sun here.. MrBK just packed the car to start the uni return to Nottingham.. still can't find the DS room, just opened every drawer and left what he can't get in the bags here! There are times when I wish he was still a little person, you can actually manage them!! Smile

pixieg1rl · 10/01/2016 18:44

Well Xmas is packed away, cleaning has been done, MrP and I have been snippy with each other all weekend. I'm knackered, I'm so tense my shoulders are somewhere around my ears and I'm fretting about all the crap I've got to do at work. It's like the last month never happened.

Ilovelblue · 10/01/2016 18:58

Quiet on here today. What's everyone been up to?

I had a nice walk this afternoon and surprisingly, it stayed dry, though we had a hailstorm just before I set off.

MaddieMoo82 · 10/01/2016 19:14

Some pretty bad hailstorms here ilove, 3-4 which have led to a few crashes. Back to rain now though Sad

MrMads insisted on coming to food shop as he is still doing unhelpful January, and filled the trolley full of loads of expensive crap we don't need Angry

Rubbish pix hope this week isn't too bad for you Flowers

kelly hope your not poorly, think you mentioned last night you were feeling a bit rough Brew

icemistOBE · 10/01/2016 19:44

Evening, being messy day. 2yo must have had virus as he was sick all yesterday, burning up and off his food etc so was mega clingy today. He has perked up now but isn't meant to go to nursery tomorrow as it won't be 48 hrs since he was last sick. Have work tomorrow too Confused

Last comment on my elderly neighbour for a bit, I promise! He brought all the dishes back I'd made his meals in this morning and I asked him what he was doing today. Answer: his family (two daughters and a grandson aged 22) were coming for tea! How odd that they couldn't find the time to come round when he was struggling earlier in the week but could come round to scrounge when he was on the bend. I really, really had to bite my tongue.

pixie hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Ilovelblue · 10/01/2016 20:01

ice do you have an emergency babysitter or will it be a ringing in to work day?

Ilovelblue · 10/01/2016 20:04

I meant on the mend sorry!!

Nickel45 · 10/01/2016 23:09

Evening, hope everyone is ok and feeling better. Busy day here, trying to wear the kids out. Tree and decs all back in the loft, looking forward to the kids being at school tomorrow so I can sit around with my feet up and finally catch up with the ff clean the house.
Off to kip now, night all x

icemistOBE · 11/01/2016 07:42

Morning

Such sad news about David Bowie Sad

KellyHb · 11/01/2016 10:33

Morning all.

Yes very sad news about David Bowie ice. Think it was cancer.

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday as was so busy. DH was away most of the day revising at the University library so was left with kids, mountains of dishes and stacks of washing to do. At least when he came back, I headed straight to McDonalds. Smile

I'm feeling okay ilove thanks for asking. I thought I was coming down with DH's cold but it seems to have gone. All the Malibu in my bloodstream I drank on Sat night must have fought the virus off. Ha!

pix hope this week gets better for you. Just think towards the end of this month, hopefully you'll get away somewhere lovely.

Off to do a load of ironing before I pick the boys up soon.

pixieg1rl · 11/01/2016 16:14

Well, that's a slow day over. Didn't exactly help myself listening to loads of Bowie tributes on the radio.

Quiet few days on here; hope everyone is doing ok, and not flooded/snowed in/buried under children.

moojangles · 11/01/2016 17:23

Ditto pix for how everyone is doing

Ilovelblue · 11/01/2016 17:31

I'm here but have to be careful posting at work. Very heavy rain on Saturday afternoon/overnight and one of my routes home is affected but I have a couple of others I can use.

Have a list of things to do tonight when I get home, most of which I promised myself I would do over Christmas and of course didn't.

I see greenstuff has updated - hurray!

MaddieMoo82 · 11/01/2016 18:57

Evening! Busy old day but the sun has been all day so managed to get out with baby in the sling rather than lugging the buggy about which was fab.

Enjoying greenstuffs new one and can't wait to see how whajeb follows on from the big cliff hanger.
Have decided to crochet animals for all the little people we know birthdays this year... Epic amount of crochets now needs to happen.....might have overestimated this plan!!

Rhubarb01 · 11/01/2016 19:00

Hi all! Hello to thread 31! I've been on all the others so I couldn't miss out on this one as well.

Kelly sorry this is the first time I've logged in since 1st January - I've PM'd you!

Hope things improve for anyone, poorly, having a difficult time or generally fed-up at the moment. Nothing exciting to report here I'm afraid - although Poldark has been briefly back in the vicinity again although it's much too cold to go for a long walk and sniff around - although the memory of the towel action is still fairly fresh in my mind! I would look highly suspicious lurking about on my own and I have possibly the only dog in the world who actually sinks his back legs into the ground and refuses to walk - he's very strange!

Take care all!
