Desperate scenes at chez pixie this evening as we discover we've run out of wine Shock

MaddieMoo82 · 08/01/2016 21:14

Bugger pix any chance of some dodgy cinzano or ouzo at the back of the drinks cupboard?

Thanks ice and ilove am grateful for mil stepping in just feel a bit bad on her. Won't be able to change hours at work once I start but once things settle down and I'm not feeding DS at night I can pick up some night shifts so Im off during the day which will help.

Hope your neighbour is doing ok ilove

KellyHb · 08/01/2016 21:41

Well Jen you may be in a bit of luck. The Outlander cast are in LA for the Golden Globes on Sunday but after that that, they're back off to Scotland to finish off filming S2! Hopefully they might be near you again. Lucky you. Smile

Ditto to what pix said. Episode 14 and 15 hard going but fab acting!

Drinking Malibu and lemon while looking on the internet not watching Outlander fanvids at all at not very much.

Ah BK hope you get better soon and feel better for your holiday. Flowers

Thanks ice. I wondered how free child places work for when we start to look abroad.

KellyHb · 08/01/2016 21:42

Nope wrong!! episodes 15 & 16 I mean. Malibu taking hold. Confused

pixieg1rl · 08/01/2016 21:46

We found a bottle of prosecco, usually he doesn't drink it so it's rather competitive drinking right now.

I'm making him watch the Xmas episode of Call the midwife to slow him down

Ilovelblue · 08/01/2016 21:50

Pixie I cried at that episode of Call the Midwife and if I'd been drinking prosecco at the time, I would have cried even more!

pixieg1rl · 08/01/2016 23:15

James Nesbitt on Graham Norton and they just showed the clip of him driving the speedboat with BA in the back

Richtea19 · 09/01/2016 08:04

Why do I never learn!! Hangover from hell. I'm just trying to piece together last night. I went out for lunch thinking we would be back early but no.. Still back late and drunk more than usual! Cross country today with DS Confused

Bk sorry to hear about your shingles. I had it years ago when I was in my 20s. I had it across the top of my back and around my middle. I just remember feeling really tired and drained of energy. If you can get signed off work try to, otherwise it will take you ages to recover. Hugs X

mads glad you got the work situation sorted.

MaddieMoo82 · 09/01/2016 08:38

He looked rather lovely in the speed boat! Hope he's in it a little more than that though.
Coffee and a couple of paracetamol rich hope you feel better. Flowers

Onlygirljen · 09/01/2016 08:52

Poor you BK, definitely try and get signed off if you can! rich, sounds like you need some berocca, roll and bacon and coffee, in that order!! Good luck!

kelly I saw an article that OL filming was due to start back soon until the spring, fingers crossed they will be back here! Going to watch last two eps over the weekend, was getting the feeling that they would be angsty, looks like I'm not wrong!

pixie re Eastenders - I did laugh the other night at the fact that somebody with known bipolar and off their meds isn't being monitored by a constant stream of health professionals, but why let sense or realism get in the way of a good storyline?! She is acting her socks off anyway...

Ilovelblue · 09/01/2016 09:45

Pouring down here again. I think the animals will start linjng up two by two before much longer.

Off to the vet in a bit as one of the cats needs his vaccinations. It's always freezing in there too as there's often a massive dog outside that can't/won't wait in the waiting room. Either that or one is barking so loud it drives everyone mad and is dragged outside by an embarrassed owner!

KellyHb · 09/01/2016 09:54

Morning all.

Raining a bit here too ilove.

We've got to get some more bulbs for lights as for some reason quite a few went out last week. Then if possible I want to have a quick look at kitchens but DH will no doubt moan at the prices of everything. He is a real shopping buzzkill. Angry But he wants to get all the kids out for fresh air and there's no way I'm doing that by myself!

Hope the hangover gets better soon rich. Hope the vets is over with fairly quickly ilove.

Have a good morning everyone.

icemistOBE · 09/01/2016 10:45

Morning, watched the clip this morning, he must have a decent part to end up on the speedboat, he could have mentioned Ben.... Then we'd be one step closer to to the sofa Grin

Miserable morning but me and 6 yo off to buy him swim shorts, goggles and a swim bag for his lessons, bad mum I am only starting him now....Hmm

Lucky Man really being pushed now so hopefully we might get a couple more shots of BA

I'm shattered; been a bit off all day really. Spent the afternoon having a bit of a clear out and caused psychological trauma to DS in the process. He's now pointing at all his toys saying "don't throw this away mummy"

Ilovelblue · 09/01/2016 19:05

Had a nice lunch out today in a little bistro in Whalley. Had to drive down the main street which had been flooded over Christmas. All clear today but the sandbags were still in evidence and lots of building and repair work going on. It was a belated present for a friend and she'd never been to this particular place before. Pleased to say she liked it and we both had lovely food. Did a little shopping in the nearest town afterwards but hit heavy rain yet again coming home so glad to get in, switch the fire on and sit down with a cup of tea.

Maddie I forgot to answer your question from last night about my neighbour. I took his tea round again on Thursday night and he looked much better. I notice his car was missing when I came home just before so he must be on the mend. I told him last night when I popped round that if he lets himself get into this state again, I would just call an ambulance straight off, no arguments. I honestly thought he had pneumonia on Sunday night after I'd met ice and richtea. I'm still not sure if his daughter has made the effort to walk the 3/4 mile to his house.

Ilovelblue · 09/01/2016 19:07

pixie it's very therapeutic having a clear out but you definitely have to be in the right frame of mind to do it. I hope you've left pixie junior a few toys left to play with?

pixieg1rl · 09/01/2016 19:13

I haven't touched his toys, I promise. He's been crying over a bottle of red glittery nail polish though.

MaddieMoo82 · 09/01/2016 19:22

Glad he's on the mend ilove

I think I would cry if I threw that away pixie

Rain and hail of biblical proportions here earlier during the dog walk and soaked right down to my under crackers so hot bath and about to have curry from the slow cooker which is just the ticket.

MaddieMoo82 · 09/01/2016 19:24

Haven't said that I haven't worn nail varnish is about 3 years but would still want to hoard it!

Ilovelblue · 09/01/2016 20:20

The rain is absolutely torrential again tonight. It's hammering so hard on the windows that it almost sounds as if it's going to break the glass!

Nickel45 · 09/01/2016 22:04

And here ilove, I thought it as hail, but it wasn't!
BK hope you are ok xx

pix hope your littlie has recovered from the trauma Wink

Just watching the Food Unwrapped Diet Special .... And it turns out dark chocolate helps you lose weight. Result! That half a chocolate orange I've just eaten should make me loads lighter by tomorrow ... :)

Ilovelblue · 09/01/2016 22:11

Just caught up with Graham Norton and seen the clip with BA in the speedboat. I don't have Sky so hope you lovely lot will keep me updated. In that speedboat, BA could deliver Milk Tray to me any day. The way it's raining, he might be able to sail right up to the door before long!

KellyHb · 09/01/2016 22:34

Just watched Take Me Out on ITV. Love that show. It makes me relieved in a way that I haven't got to go through the stress of dating. Confused

Good on you having a clear out pix. I feel like I need one. The playroom is absolutely overflowing with toys and I can't get in hardly. I'll wait a while otherwise the kids will notice if anything of theirs has gone missing Hmm

DH has a throat, chest and ear infection as well as a heavy cold so he's been ill today but now I'm sneezing and can't get warm so looks like I'm getting a sniffle!!

Ilovelblue · 09/01/2016 22:39

I think the Kelly household must be really germ infested at the moment! That bug has gone through you all like a dose of salts. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

KellyHb · 09/01/2016 22:46

ice I wouldn't worry re: swimming. My twins haven't been to the pool yet and I'm trying to put it off as long as possible. Its been years since I went to the baths. DH normally takes DD but I just don't like going there.
