May as well take advantage of being at home during the day and sorted out my EON tariffs which they had altered my direct debits for - increase of £30. At least it's a UK based call centre. It's the BT one which really winds me up.

Richtea19 · 02/02/2016 11:05

ilove sometimes you need a day off to sort out stuff like switching and bills etc, well done.

ice bed at mine if you don't want stay in London! Yippee! Xx

icemistOBE · 02/02/2016 11:57

I'll prob stay in hotel, unless it's too expensive.

House looking normal again.

Is BA def doing the carol service again, then ice? I thought they had different people each year, how exciting if he's doing it again :)

Ilovelblue · 02/02/2016 14:03

Richtea I'm off ill but back to work tomorrow so made the most of being at home. Not sure how elderly people cope with these energy tariffs. It's a minefield even when you reckon you're not stupid and have access to the internet.

Great update from Lola. God how I love CJ!

icemistOBE · 02/02/2016 14:05

No idea nickel but even if he's not, it will be a good trip to London.

Evening! Thought I'd mark my place and say hello as things look very quiet on here although I can see that you've all been up to lots of things, going to meet-ups, coping with the weather oop north, suffering from ill-health ilove, jen, kelly (hope you're all feeling better now) and anyone else I've missed, having birthdays kelly again, enjoying holidays pixie and putting up with a variety of annoying situations with OH's plus the alternative lusting suggestions from Kuia with helpful interjection from woof. Think that covers my brief summary, sorry if I missed anyone out. Sadly, nowt different here in Rhubarb Land good or bad - apparently I heard it was Groundhog day (on the radio this morning) not sure if there's anything significant in that but sometimes it feels like that - don't know about anyone else.

Nickel45 · 02/02/2016 20:43

Hey rhu was thinking about you earlier and wondering where you'd got to :) missed you on here, glad you're ok xx

KellyHb · 02/02/2016 21:51

Evening all.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Smile Have been busy with things since I got back Sunday. You all may have to indulge me for a moment when I just say I had such a fab time being away from the kids for a night (punches the air!). Quite a few drinks, a lovely Italian meal and sitting by a pub open fireplace for a few hours certainly perked my pecker up GrinWineCake

MIL/FIL couldn't wait to get home as soon as we stepped in the door but we were grateful anyway to them for helping us get away.

jen oh sorry you're still not 100% better. Viral things take ages don't they to go. And you ilove you feeling better for work tomorrow?

The London meet up sounded like it went well ice apsara rich The photos look great. Did nobody go to the theatre in the end?

pix glad you loved your holiday. Fab pics. Did you have a private pool where you were? It looked lovely and quiet. I bet it was hard getting back into work mode.

pixieg1rl · 02/02/2016 22:24

Oh dear lord, Sean Ward has a beard now. Mmm

Melts in a puddle of lust instagram.com/p/BBS7fKIvpeB/

pixieg1rl · 02/02/2016 22:26

Yes, we had our own pool Kelly. A complete extravagance, but great. Lovely get away, DS wasn't the only one having a hard time getting back into the everyday routine.

Glad your night away went well. It sounds like it's just what you needed.

KellyHb · 02/02/2016 23:00

I must say pix SW suits that lovely beard. I still feel sorry for him and want to give him a hug. I'm completely giving Georgia the side eye treatment at the moment. She's in a lot of magazines flaunting this thing with her and Giovanni. Apparently she's moving in with him after being together a month.

Yes pix. I would love a private pool if I went abroad too. Its the only way I would ever venture in one as I'm a complete wimp when it comes to swimming and wearing swimming costumes. I've got more spare tyres than Michelin at the moment.

Alwaysfrank · 02/02/2016 23:34

Know what you mean about the spare tyres Kel - I call it my twinskin Sad problem is my twins are 12 now so I don't think it's going any time soon. It would help if I exercised occasionally. I have been thinking about doing the c25k since New Year. My dh and boys have started doing parkruns and I made a bold assertion about joining them at some stage....but I can't seem to get off the iPad or the couch at the moment, and I am starting from zero fitness levels.

pixieg1rl · 03/02/2016 06:43

I didn't notice a spare tyre at all when we met Kelly, you're gorgeous.

I'm in no position to judge someone for moving in with their boyfriend a month after they got together, ahem Confused

MaddieMoo82 · 03/02/2016 07:23

Morning! Yep very gorg in the pics I've seen kelly!
Sean ward with a beard is rather lovely. I was stalking perusing through his pictures last night and thought he looked rather luscious in this one too. Must be something about a man in a light blue shirt Grin
So knackered. First part of the night the dog was puking and the second part DS decided he was mega hungry Confused
Must get on DS has his first settling session at nursery this morning and I haven't done any of the paperwork yet! Argh. Have a good day all

Ooh and hope everyone is starting to feel better soon Flowers

Ilovelblue · 03/02/2016 07:43

Thanks Maddie. I'm going back to work today. At least it will be a short week.

Ilovelblue · 03/02/2016 07:45

Welcome back Rhubarb. I noticed you've been missing for a while. Is everything ok?

icemistOBE · 03/02/2016 08:26

Ooh Milk Tray Man is a firefighter from Liverpool. BA would have been fab!!!

Rhubarb01 · 03/02/2016 08:53

Morning! This is a rare day when I'm at home AM but working later. Just saw the Milk Tray Man on BBC Breakfast as well ice. He seemed really nice and cuts quite a dash in his all black outfit. As they were saying however, I bet he'll be ribbed mercilessly at work. Nice that they chose an 'ordinary' person though!

Hi Nickel and ilove. Everything's OK apart from some DC issues to which there seem no good easy answers which is frustrating and gets me down sometimes (that's my kids not the other DC - see below). Otherwise, I'm just a bit bored and feel rather boring myself. I haven't felt as if I've much to contribute to discussions at the moment. I really hate this time of year! I've often thought everything's planned wrong. We should just have a New Year holiday at the end of December followed by Christmas in February then Easter in April and something for Midsummer in June and then some sort of Harvest festival time in September. We don't have enough celebration times to break up the year - perhaps I could blame that on the EU as well? David Cameron should be negotiating for more holidays and if we don't get them that's it! Ha ha!

I guess we could do with some more cast news to get us speculating - must be time for a read through soon, surely? I'm with a few others in thinking we won't be seeing OG2 until next year possibly after Christmas. I've also got a bit frustrated with W&P and haven't watched episode 5 yet but I now know the story because I decided to find out (keeping it zipped). I have to say it just hasn't really caught my attention even though I like costume drama - I think it's just too 'big' and sweeping a story to condense it - I suppose it was the nineteenth century equivalent of a blockbuster. I actually prefer Dickensian.

Well, better pop off and make use of a few hours to tidy up - what fun! Have a good day everyone.

cjwoofwoof · 03/02/2016 09:15

Ooh Beardy Sean Ward is up there with the hairy AT from the other day, so long as it doesn't include back and hands of course.

Hi Rhu ditto about glum time of year. Jan/Feb are always meh and not improved at Woof Manor by the seasonal more-regular presence of DH lurking about the house at weekends tut-tutting at the chaos and compelling me to try and look busy with the Dyson instead of the iPad until his work picks up again Angry

Good luck at nursery mads your DS will soon settle in. I still remember my eldest DSs first day, but it all works out in the end.

And if kels got a muffin top then I've got the full cake shelf as Sarah Millican says Grin

cjwoofwoof · 03/02/2016 09:17

Just going to google Milk Tray Man. I've got a friend who's obsessed with firemen, she'll love this!

cjwoofwoof · 03/02/2016 09:19

Hmm, too old - BA would've been tall posh boy better Hmm

MaddieMoo82 · 03/02/2016 09:22

Thanks woof and I'm not sure about the new milky tray man Hmm he's not doing it for me...

cjwoofwoof · 03/02/2016 09:48

Ditto mads don't think my fireman-mad friend will be too impressed after all, sadly.

Ooh kuia forgot to say I saw a trailer for Shannara Chronicles coming to 5* channel soon. Woohoo I get to ogle and perv over observe Manu in leather to tide me over til OG2 and Poldark resumes later this year #legomenstillrule
