Morning all. Very mild and a beautiful pink sky here today.

Kelly that made me laugh! Were you his only admirer?

KellyHb · 25/01/2016 09:33

Morning all.

Very mild here this morning and quite sunny but typically rain due later.

ilove yes I was at that point and probably making it very obvious that I was enjoying the view muchly. I had to pick my tongue off the floor a couple of times. DH found it highly amusing. Hmm

Off to my new dentists soon. Pain seems to be starting up in another of my back teeth. She's a lovely dentist so I don't mind going.

pix did you say you were off to Lanzarote this weekend? If so, very nice. Bet your DS is excited for the aeroplane ride!

pixieg1rl · 25/01/2016 10:03

Yes, a short break in Lanzarote to look forward to; I've spent the last hour battling a minefield of work politics, the prize of sunshine at the end of the week seems a long way away.

Are you looking forward to your weekend as well Kelly? Fingers crossed your MIL doesn't send lots of fretting texts while you're away.

Richtea19 · 25/01/2016 10:06

Morning all, jen I feel your pain with the hangover from hell. I'm sure my hangovers are worst when it's combined with a late night!!! Didn't recognise any football sport people but spotted Alan Davis (frizzy grey longish hair) he was so annoying, talked all through the speeches and then held court with women asking for photos and autographs! I didn't bother, now had it of been BA.... Grin

Glad the wedding went well with no kilt incidents! Was RL Chris there?

pix well Jel for about your escape for winter sun, I could do with that right now!

Going into work late today, thankfully.

cjwoofwoof · 25/01/2016 10:49

Ouch shame about the hangovers - raw egg in tomato juice is supposed to do the trick or does it make you vomit? one or the other

Ooh nice break pix gotta be better than UK at the moment.

Don't mention dentists kel my DH has been suffering with a tooth infection that'll teach him for using cocktail sticks for floss and moaned about the £25 dentist diagnosis appt plus prescription charge for amoxicillin, and been like a bear with a sore head literally since last Thursday. AND he won't admit that the medicine is working and is trying to eke out more sympathy fat chance

I'm a bit behind the times but spotted the Outlander dvd in Sainsburys yesterday so have got six discs to catch up on. It'd better be as good as recommended ladies or I'm billing kel and pix the £20 cost and unbooking my 6-week kilt-fest seek and stay holiday at jens house in July Grin

pixieg1rl · 25/01/2016 12:04

You won't be disappointed woof (or if you are I won't be held liable for it). You'll be dusting off your finest wolf fleece and donning your comfiest cosyfeet extra roomy walking boots ready for a summer of stalking highlanders through the heather by the time you get to episode 7.

KellyHb · 25/01/2016 12:40

Woohoo woof I completely guarantee you will have a total sensation overload when you watch the DVDs! When I've got a spare half hour, I put an episode on and fast forward to the saucy bits I want to see not that I keep rewinding those bits either

Yes pix very much looking forward to being without the kids for a night and hopefully enjoying ourselves. Although MIL rang over the weekend and was worried about looking after the kids and maybe wouldve liked to have gotten out of it but I thought 'tough, the hotels booked and you two can go away whenever you want' so fingers crossed its still on so far.

cjwoofwoof · 25/01/2016 13:59

Right it looks like the Scottish break away is still on then jen . Hope you've got enough room and plenty of haggis simmering for my DH, three not so little bleeders and my incontinent dog whilst I'm out kilt-stalking, as they'll need plenty of entertainment and feeding if it's going to be a summer-long research project...

Good idea on the wolf fleece and cosyfeet front pix it'll probably blend in well with the rugged environment as well as not looking out of place round Gorbals market when I buy jen a thank you present Grin

pixieg1rl · 25/01/2016 18:12

MIL is having another clear out and is on the phone offering MrP his old school shirts. He left school in 1992.

BK28 · 25/01/2016 18:46

Be bold pix and say NO!!! [Wine]

moojangles · 25/01/2016 19:04

That's scary crazy hoarding!

KellyHb · 25/01/2016 19:39

Your MIL makes me chuckle pix.

pixieg1rl · 25/01/2016 20:25

I'm surprised she hasn't offered them to her eldest grandson, he's 13 and bound to grow into them soon.

Anyone who wants MrP's family are welcome to them Confused

Ilovelblue · 25/01/2016 21:16

I'm going to ask the question pixie that nobody else has dared say but WHY would your MIL keep them? Did Mr Pixie have a younger brother who may have been able to use them or was your MIL just totally unable to throw ANYTHING away?

pixieg1rl · 25/01/2016 21:49

The latter ilove. It's a disease that blights the whole family.

Anyone who wants him can have MrP, he's in the doghouse having broken the laptop Angry

Ilovelblue · 25/01/2016 22:00

It sounds to me as if your MIL would get on well with my ex pixie. I did tell you how he threw a wobbler when I took some dishcloths belonging to his deceased aunt? Gosh, he really hoarded some tat.

pixieg1rl · 25/01/2016 22:05

They sound like kindred spirits ilove

Ilovelblue · 25/01/2016 22:10

He made me give the dishcloths back. I think subconsciously I'd done it deliberately. I hope he and his dishcloths are still living happily together!!!!

pixieg1rl · 25/01/2016 23:06

MrP's brother is coming up from the West Country in a few weeks to help with the clearing out. Of all of them he has the hoarding bug the worst; he keeps every box of every appliance he's ever owned. He has the box for the kettle he had 20 years ago, even though he doesn't have the kettle any more. He has 2 broken analogue TVs (one b&w) as well, even though you couldn't get a signal on them even if they did work.

KellyHb · 25/01/2016 23:54

Ah no pix. Anybody who lives with MrP's brother must have the patience of a saint.

Talking of clearing out, I've been trying to chuck out a picture that DD made a year ago of a stick man glued onto cardboard and it gives me the creeps. I've been trying to throw it out for a week but DD keeps finding where I've hidden it and puts it back in her room. Confused

icemistOBE · 26/01/2016 06:53

Morning

Ugh been up since 4 with 2 yo. He was wide awake and wouldn't stay in his bed, even I gave him my tablet to watch videos.

Hoping today brings us some cast news I need some excitement to keep me going today!

Pix your MIL is crazy! Why would you keep old school shirts? Was it get who gave you hbbys old swimwear too?

Richtea19 · 26/01/2016 07:29

Bonkers MIL pixie why????? I knew someone that would keep deflated helium balloons! Is your BIL married?? If yes she must be a saint!!!

ice 4am .... Hope you get a nap later on today. I went to bed last night at 8pm and slept through, I actually feel more tired and look it too!

pixieg1rl · 26/01/2016 07:45

Yes BIL is married. Nothing as strange as other people.

Sorry to hear about the early start ice. DS woke at 5:30 and I was worried I he wouldn't go back to sleep, but we both managed it.

MaddieMoo82 · 26/01/2016 08:30

Morning all.
pixie your mil and bil sound interesting! Does Mr P follow the same tendencies or have you knocked that out of him?!
Sorry about the early start ice hope your not too knackered. Got up and out early to drop DS off at parents to practice my drop off and getting to work and is certainly work in progress and would have been late to work! Up earlier I think Hmm

cjwoofwoof · 26/01/2016 09:04

ice rest assured the early starts ease off in teenage years - you'll spend all your time chivvying them to shift OUT of their beds!!

pix your MIL sounds eccentric to say the least and it may be worth foraging around in her loft a la Cash in the Attic in case she's got an antique clock wrapped in old newspaper or an Elizabethan table gathering dust.

Happy Tuesday everyone. Hoping to crack open my Outlander dvd tonight when everyone's out, just praying that all football matches are ON for once Wink
