Watched bits of SCD whilst eating a chippy tea, the couldn't be bothered theme of today has continued. Really liked Kellie and Kevin.
Sorry about your parking fine kelly that's rubbish! Hope the weather settles for you. Snow is only lovely when you don't have to be anywhere I think.... Not that it ever snows in Devon.
Off to repair a puncture in my buggy tyre. Rocking the action here on a sat night Confused
Saw the advert for Dickensian thing... Might be worth a festive watch.

KellyHb · 12/12/2015 21:20

Good on you mads on changing a buggy tyre. I don't think I would know where to start Confused

Thanks mads. Its funny because on the letter theyve put pics on of me and the car on CCTV. Famous at last! even if its huge red warning letters

MaddieMoo82 · 12/12/2015 22:21

Your famous kelly Shame you have to pay for it!
People like me with a useless Mr is what YouTube was made for! Shame CJs not here he'd have the tyre and me stripped and sorted in a flash Smile

pixieg1rl · 12/12/2015 22:23

Whoops, where did that bottle of prosecco go?

Ilovelblue · 12/12/2015 22:32

Yeah Maddie tough luck. I'm the one with CJ at the moment!! I'm off to bed shortly with him to make the most of his last night. Stripped yes, not sure I wanted to be sorted quite so quickly though...... Tried to find out if he has any plans to be in South Africa in January but he's very tight lipped on that score. Came out with his usual lines of "Ask me no questions..." and all that.

A friend is coming up from Manchester tomorrow and she is going to deliver CJ to ice. I have no idea at all what they will make of each other. She's very tiny (under 5 foot) and a bit hippy'ish. I can't see her letting him drive either. We have arranged to go out for lunch so I need to find out whether CJ is coming along or not or whether he would prefer to do some (much needed) housework for me.

KellyHb · 12/12/2015 22:59

Oh meant to say, I was being served at a toy shop earlier this afternoon and the lady serving was from SA. I was mentioning OG to her saying it was filmed there. She had a total vacant expression on her face then said she'd never heard of the programme. Confused

Ilovelblue · 12/12/2015 23:10

That made me laugh Kelly!!

KellyHb · 12/12/2015 23:27

Grin ilove

I suppose you forget that there are people out there who've never heard of it or who did watch it, didn't like it Shock

MaddieMoo82 · 12/12/2015 23:29

Nobody I've spoken to knew anything about it Confused

BK28 · 13/12/2015 00:09

Back from the spa...mrBK made sure we packed a number of fitness classes before being allowed a couple of hours pampering prior to travelling home...left with nothing aching.hooray!!
ilove and ice CJ can be picked up from your office,so we can do an early evening collection. ilove can you please let him know it is the Bugatti Veron...nice treat for him before Christmas. The plan is to bring him back down here and have a couple of days getting him to help with some scout expedition packing.

Have just caught up with SCD - has to be Katie or Anita to go this week!

Spent a lovely afternoon having tea with Lola today at Bailbrook House!

For all of you out there being affected by all these extremes of weather take care!Flowers

KellyHb · 13/12/2015 00:27

Oo very nice BK. I wouldn't mind a visit to Bailbrook myself. I saw some of the pics she put on Twitter. The place looks amazing. Did you go into the dining area and see the table?

Hope you enjoyed the spa break you had and seems like you broke through your pain barrier in the end. Do you feel refreshed?

BK28 · 13/12/2015 07:55

kelly we were both totally refreshed until we hit the first traffic jam travelling home!! Xmas Smile

orphan · 13/12/2015 09:01

Morning. Burning question of the day from me: richtea what gin did you buy? I love a g&t and currently have Hendricks and Bombay Sapphire but interested in trying something different. Also don't know whether I've waxed lyrical on here before about the Edinburgh Gin Co rhubarb and ginger liqueur which is deeeelicious (and a very pretty pink). Just bought another bottle of it ....

kelly impressed by your stoic acceptance of the parking ticket. Not like me then who pleads pathetically and ultimately futilely

MaddieMoo82 · 13/12/2015 09:16

Morning all. Glad to hear you enjoyed the spa break bk. Glad you didn't get injured further.

Shattered after lots of DS wake ups all night although I'm sure a trip round tesco will sort me out Hmm if only there was a new bit of OG to watch tonight. Was ready about LTs having a big role in eastenders over Xmas and into next year with giving birth during the nativity (standard Xmas soap birth!), the real father being revealed and then suffering psychotic episodes....I'm sure it would have been far more fun to play MD!!

MaddieMoo82 · 13/12/2015 09:25

Oh orph have you tried Plymouth gin? Not sure if you can get it everywhere but it's very nice and made by at the local distillery down the road. Sil got married at the distillery and the whole place smelt lovely Smile

KellyHb · 13/12/2015 09:54

Morning all.

Me and DD are off to a Xmas party soon, held at the local town hall. I've got a million and one jobs to do in the house but it should be good. DD wants her hair curled etc so have to do that too!

mads hope you have a better nights sleep tonight. Have a look and see if there's any fit Fruit and Veg men you can ogle at Tesco. Smile

Ditto re: LT. I would rather she was frolicking with CJ in Bath than being grumpy with Martin Fowler in Albert Square!

orph. Kind of accepted the ticket was my fault. I should've moved my car before the allowed time. Plus I don't fancy paying triple what I owe now if I don't pay before 14 days!

It does rankle a bit though as its a private car park and you hope they're running it within car park rules and regs.

orph how's the job going? How's the fit teacher doing?

Onlygirljen · 13/12/2015 10:15

Orph have you tried the botanist? My favourite gin treat, usually get a bottle or two at Christmas Smile

Richtea19 · 13/12/2015 10:19

Heavy head this morning, far too much wine consumed... Thank goddnes for a day with nothing planned. It's going to be a slow motion day with catch up telly and plenty of tea and coffee.. Oh and all the washing up!

Orphan the gin is by a distillery called Whittakers. They are based in Yorkshire and make small batch (not right word!) a year. Expensive for just a 70cl bottle, but I thought I deserved it, and I was pissed at time of purchasing!!!

Ilovelblue · 13/12/2015 10:29

Jen made the mistake of watching that clip when CJ was around. One jealous CJ now! Reckons he can do better than that so may be a while beforw I get out of bed now.

RL beckons though and need to get the hoover out before my friend arrives.

orphan · 13/12/2015 10:30

maddie no not tried Plymouth. I spend too much time loitering in the gin aisle in Waitrose (fab selection of gin) admiring the pretty bottles! Really like the Tanqueray bottle which is very 1930s but a bit disappointed by the actual gin. Sipmith seems to be the gin of choice in a lot of bars in London. Love the idea of getting married in a distillery!

kelly Mr PEsexgod is certainly very fit disappointingly trackie bottoms have replaced shorts now but he really knows it. Most of the female staff ogle him but not many drool like me.

As for the job, I'm enjoying it but this is the first Christmas where I haven't had oodles of time to prepare - though I still used to manage to leave everything til the last minute! Looking forward to breaking up though.

orphan · 13/12/2015 10:34

Ooh thanks for the gin tips jen and richtea! The Hoxton run gin classes every now and then and I always think I should book in but never do. It's funny how gin's really taken off recently.

orphan · 13/12/2015 10:51

jen where do you buy your stock of The Botanist?

Onlygirljen · 13/12/2015 11:00

They sell it in whole foods and (sometimes) waitrose up here orph, although you can get it online too. They definitely serve it in the bar at the hoxton shoreditch if you want to sample in advance. Smile

Richtea19 · 13/12/2015 11:17

Just looked up Botanist gin, nice bottle too!
When I had the Whittakers tasting they said to drink it neat, don't think I'm that hardcore!
