Maybe Tristan can fall out with the wardrobe people a bit more and they could refuse to give him shirts next year Grin

KellyHb · 19/12/2015 22:06

I wasn't expecting that! I really was thinking Kellie had it.

KellyHb · 19/12/2015 22:07

KellyHb · 19/12/2015 22:07

Oops double post

Rhubarb01 · 19/12/2015 22:09

Hmm - well he's been a great technical dancer, probably the best so well done to him. I think there was a suggestion that he'd get the mothers vote! Feel a bit sorry for Kevin - three times in a final in a row and not winning. I'm sure Georgia will get a stage show now and get plenty of offers.

Rhubarb01 · 19/12/2015 22:11

OK - who's going to win Sports Personality of the Year?

KellyHb · 19/12/2015 22:14

That's one programme I've never watched although DH does. Should we do a watch-a-long for that? Ha!

I'm going to miss Strictly and another fab Watch-a-long with you ladies Star

Ilovelblue · 19/12/2015 22:14

Ah we won our bet! Yippee!

Now Rhubarb Sports Personality isn't really me but I wouldn't be surprised if Andy Murray gets something. As long as it's not that dreadful Tyson Fury.

I will be watching The Apprentice final though.

Rhubarb01 · 19/12/2015 22:24

We do watch SPOTY but I definitely wouldn't recommend a watch-a-long Kelly Grin - too much boring time talking about the golf, football, rugby and cricket season arghh! Ilove I think Andy Murray might feature or possibly the Davis Cup Team may get Team of the Year. Not sure about the actual winner though. I'm sure it won't be the boxer but you know how good my gueses are - good job I never bet!

We also watch The Apprentice - it's probably the only programme all the kids watch with me for some reason. Not sure about that one at all - Vana is more professional but Joseph is like a young Alan Sugar - a bit close to call.

Ilovelblue · 19/12/2015 22:27

Rhubarb have to confess I haven't paid too much attention to The Apprentice this year. Can't stand the way the women all fight like cats and bitch and scream at each other. Have nodded off several times in this series and struggled to get into all the different characters. Do you think it's gone off a bit/

Rhubarb01 · 19/12/2015 22:40

DD says she thinks it's not as good as it used to be. I still like it from an entertainment point of view. The editing on the show is brilliant and really makes us laugh. It amazes me that after having watched so many previous series the candidates make the same stupid mistakes over and over again. They always have similar sorts of tasks - selling, manufacturing, marketing, advertising etc but haven't studied what went wrong in the past - ignore advice and market research or get carried away with their own single-minded vision. I suppose that's what makes it entertaining.

Nickel45 · 19/12/2015 22:48

I really like the apprentice, all those egos, hilarious! And yes, how can they not have learnt anything from the previous series!?! I reckon Vana is the safe bet, but that siralan will go for Joseph cos he likes a bit of a gamble, and he can see himself in Joseph, well, that's what I reckon!

Rhubarb01 · 19/12/2015 22:55

DD reckons that Vana will blow all Siralan's money in record time and he'll think she's a dodgy bet but we're not sure that Joseph's idea is big enough for SA in terms of money making. Actually, it's quite a hard choice in that respect.

KellyHb · 19/12/2015 23:02

I was just joking. Smile That's one programme that does seem extremely boring, to me anyway.

I'll miss not seeing Gleb and Anita dancing together although they are doing the Strictly tour next year.

Ilovelblue · 20/12/2015 09:59

Morning all. Such heavy rain again here last night. The garden was flooded at one stage though it drained away fairly quickly.

Have my friend's two boys for the day in a bit so she can sort her last minute shopping. Probably the usual cake making and icing but in two minds whether to take them to the cinema later. Depends on the weather.

KellyHb · 20/12/2015 10:28

Morning.

Me and DH have been up all night with all 3 little bleeders. Theyve all got quite chesty coughs now but DD's had hers for quite a while. Must make docs appt for her depending how she goes today.

DD's had to go into work today until later so don't think I'll get any wrapping done.

Spoke to MIL this morning as she rang and I think I was short with her on the phone. I dont care tbh as we've generally got too many worries going on here. She's gives her opinion on/to me decidedly often enough. Mini rant over.

pixieg1rl · 20/12/2015 10:54

Desperate times, I'm cleaning the kitchen Confused

MaddieMoo82 · 20/12/2015 11:02

Food shop, ironing, present wrapping. Rock and roll Sunday here. Hmm

MaddieMoo82 · 20/12/2015 11:03

Hope all 3 are better quickly kelly Flowers

KellyHb · 20/12/2015 11:17

Thanks mads theyre playing without coughing/fighting so they must be feeling okay at the minute. Hmm

How did your Xmas shopping go yesterday mads?

Richtea19 · 20/12/2015 13:39

kelly ilove been to Betty's!!! Love it. Had to queue to get in but fab! Bought some Christmas bits to take home, although don't know how I will get everything in the wheely case!
ilove we are driving when we go to Manchester

MaddieMoo82 · 20/12/2015 15:35

kelly it was pretty awful to be honest. MrMads told me I was grumpy and stroppy. Trying wheeling a hungry baby in big buggy laden with bags around shops that were rammed for 3 hrs. Angry

rich sounds like you are having a lovely time. Bet it was very busy there.

KellyHb · 20/12/2015 15:38

Ah that's fab rich. Love that place. I've always had to queue too to get in. I bet York's a lovely place to go at Christmas.

Did you go downstairs in Betty's rich? as next to the door to the ladies toilets, there's a famous mirror that WW2 airmen used to scratch their names on using their rings when they were on leave. People get their pics taken next to it now. Apparently Betty's was really popular even in the 40's.

DH is late in from work so I'm in charge of cooking a Turkey for tea for the first time!! Eek! Its only a Turkey breast and its a case of just putting it in the oven but still nerve wracking! Shock

Ilovelblue · 20/12/2015 18:43

Richtea - glad you enjoyed Betty's. I've always had to queue too - think it's pretty standard at any of their cafes (Harlow Carr, Ilkley, Harrogate and Northallerton). I bet it's a very festive atmosphere in York. Not been for three or four years now but I love the place.

Been looking after my friend's two children and am totally whacked now! It was full on from the minute they arrived but we made jelly, pizzas and two sorts of cake which we iced plus going to the park. We didn't go to the cinema in the end as my friend wasn't sure that the younger one would be able to sit through an entire film. It's an expensive business these days as you know, so I was relieved she mentioned it as it would have been a waste of money in the end.

My friend/neighbour across the road is back from her weekend away. I think she has cottoned on to the fact I thought it was a step too far to expect me to look after the kitten with so many health issues (and being in season too). I didn't even say "oh don't worry about it, it was nothing" which was the response she was probably looking for!

Just watching the Countryfile weather forecast and more rain on the way for the north west. We'll all have webbed feet before long!

Ilovelblue · 20/12/2015 18:51

Kelly I never knew about the mirror in Betty's! How is the turkey?
