Morning all works do from hell last night small gathering of one team in their local restaurant. Was going t o have a tipple and leave car but wasn't feeling it and decided to drive so sober throughout a night of poor food and service followed by naff disco in the corner of the room. Made a complaint and got them 4 free bottles of Prosecco though which helped. Then one of the ladies invited everyone back to her house so I taxied a few people and came in for a quick cuppa only to have to try and calm down a major league domestic between her and partner 20 mins in that exploded spectacularly after they had been arguing all week. Having been incensed at her bringing people back had marched across to the local pub where he had been earlier and brought back his own little group of drunk party people. It all ended really badly with her lobbing his mobile phone into the front garden and chucking everyone out. Happy Christmas !!! Decorating today so need to hop off to B&Q for the paint - the rain is being blown against the Windows here....I see the lovely CJ is on tour again have fun kelly (waves back) Have a good day one and all with Christmas prep or whatever else is taking your fancy X

Morning all! Concur with Painted's weather forecast up here in the north west. The wind did wake me up in the night I think and then I found a cat sleeping on the bed - he definitely doesn't like this weather - gave me a bit of a start though! We've had 1.5 inches of rain overnight according to my rain gauge.

Your evening sounds delightful Painted. Worst thing about witnessing a domestic like that is the fact you are all work colleagues I suppose. B&Q will seem quite tame this morning.

I won a beauty voucher in a raffle recently so am going to take it up this afternoon and have chosen a facial and eyelash tint. Have also decided it's time for the winter quilt to go on so have to go up into the attic to swap the duvets over.

BK be careful on your drive today. Kelly had said she only wanted CJ for the weekend so if you can take him over to Jen after that, I think we could probably sort out some travel arrangements for ourselves so that you're not too inconvenienced. She can put him on the train down here and I can deliver him to ice as it's not too far. Am hoping that once Jen gets her hands on him again, it might give her further inspiration for her ff?

ilove sounds like a nice afternoon planned enjoy the raffle prize. We put our winter duvet on last week and it's lovely although it was like a furnace when CJ came to stay!

Ooops, forgot to mention about the Elvis CD. I've never really considered myself an Elvis fan, particularly of his later works in the 70s, but I remember listening to a Radio 2 recording of Elvis v Beatles and realised I preferred some of the earlier Elvis stuff (before I was born I hasten to add) to the Beatles. I thought I'd give this CD a whirl and really like it. The orchestral arrangements at the beginning of each track seem a bit strange at first and I even thought they'd sent the wrong CD the first time I played it, but it's just different to what you would expect from Elvis and you soon get used to it. The actual songs are obviously the same. I'm glad I got it now.

Hiya maddie I am not as dedicated and consistent as some of the other lovely ladies on here they kindly invited me to have a peek what feels like many moons ago after reading my early efforts at FF.
Morning ilove I am the CEO which makes it doubly embarrassing but luckily I am the kind that what happens outside the office within reason stays outside the office it's a national organisation so I have about a dozen of these smaller ones to show my face at in the next few weeks I just paint on a smile and make polite conversation and don't need to worry about having a few as it takes a lot for me to even get close to tipsy. Right got to go and get organised determined to do something practical today ! X

ilove now that sounds like plan...will deliver to jen on Monday and can pick up from ice around 16th bring him back to the west country for some respite before dropping him at the Royal Crescent! That fits well with me as off on my spa break this week...slight panic as it appears posh and we only have rucksacks...just discovered we should have booked the extras 14 days ago and we arrive on Monday - whoops!!! DH off to make grovelling phone call...and this was supposed to be a rerlax and recharge break, now more stressed than ever!!!

painted sounds like a nightmare last night.

My Christmas party on Thursday was quite tame, until Friday morning when I went into work and found out that one of the youngest girls went home with one of our locus doctors! .... Silly girl!

Last night was a disaster. I was meeting friends in Soho. They shut the underground at victoria, then the queue for a cab was ridiculous. Eventually got the restaurant. Ok but terribly overpriced. We missed our last train so we're left stranded trying to get a cab home. I felt a spent more time travelling than eating drinking!

If I miss my train at the January meet up I might just have to top and tail or kip on someone's floor!!

Good recommendation for Elvis CD, it's going on my list.

Lovely facial this afternoon. Paid a bit extra for the upgraded version and fell asleep towards the end.

Still a howling gale. A lot of the roads are flooded. My friend with the two small boys rang just before I went to the beauty salon to ask if I would do some emergency babysitting tonight for her because her parents were supposed to be doing it but can't get out of their village in the Lakes due to a flood! It must be bad as they have a 4x4 and aren't usually bothered by such eventualities. I said I'd do it (bang goes my Strictly watching, will have to record it for later) so won't be able to be on here with you SCD fans because no doubt the boys will want to play. So if anyone wants any babysitting doing, bring them round! The more the merrier!

So so windy here today! Trees have been uprooted near to my street! Never mind that, there was plenty of blowing going on inside a very sexy Audi!

Thanks so much for the CJ drop off BK. He was bright eyed and bushy tailed after his sleep on the way up. Re-enacting my FF was everything I thought it would be. I think the last of my ovaries exploded just watching him! my jaw is quite sore now The smell of quality leather and a sweaty CJ was quite amazing I can tell you. CJ said he's normally a gentleman and let's the lady come first but he would make an exception today.

He's promised me he's going to drill some British Army discipline into the twins later and make then well behaved for me during school pick-ups. Hurrah!! Afterwards he's making me some tea and then he said he'd run me a bath and we'd see where the night takes us from there. So excited.

Sorry your night out went badly wrong rich. Nothing more uncomfortable than watching other people's arguments.

So glad that he lived up to expectation Kel That car certainly lived up to its marketing hype or it did when CJ was driving!!

DH has been so called tidying up my laptop, as it was running slow, he happened to find my OG picture file! Blamed all my pictures for being the reason the hard drive was full. Then he had the nerve to accuse me of having a teenage crush... what moi!! Didn't like to tell him that there was nothing teenage about this!!!

Anyway now computer is working again I can get back to my wretched tax return oh no I can't there are new ff update from greenstuff and Jen - priorities just changed!!! thanks girls!!

Looking forward to Strictly. CJ said he would put the kids to bed while I watch it.
