We tried to embarrass our very straight laced teacher by asking him about oral sex. He told us it was disgusting. Now I just feel sorry for his wife.

Tbh at the moment what I am looking forward to most, is not having to go through the ordeal of bedtime! I know, that's awful, but it is ready stressing me out, and I really don't do stress (usually)! DS (8) will not go to sleep, and when it's lights out he starts shouting and yelling and calling out ... then when I go in "nothing, it doesn't matter", I'm seriously close to losing the plot. At a complete loss as to how to deal with it, tried taking things away, losing treats, bedtime early, letting him a stay up and read, nothing makes a difference. Anyone else had this? Or any ideas how to deal with it. The rest of the day he is the loveliest, wonderfully loving child?!?? Can't work it out! Oh boy, I sound like some of the other MN threads!!! He needs a CJ regulation boot up his backside!

Nickel sorry you're having a rough time of it at the moment. Here's hoping you get to see BA, sit behind him and give a plug to our thread after kissing him senseless. Oh and ask him where ice's autograph is!

Are you going to text me if he's there, then I can pass on the news via here? I have visitors tomorrow night but will keep my phone by me just in case.

Been separating raffle tickets most of the evening in readiness for our main fundraising event at work next week. I think I now have RSI. :(

nickel hugs to you for everything you are going through. It's sounds cliche, but it will get better. My eldest was a terrible sleeper (put a lot of strain on my marriage) we did get through it, a lot of tears and sitting outside a bedroom door refusing to go in. Heartbreaking at the time. We had to tell our neighbours attached to us about letting him cry. It was horrid but we go there in the end.

Hugs about the bedtime, absolutely no advice, I still have to sit in the room/hold hands/sing lullabies every night. My recent night away from DS was the first night in his life I didn't put him to bed. It was blissful and I enjoyed every single second.

nickel my 7 year old was telling everyone at school that he didn't have to go to bed until midnight, when in fact he went to his bed at a reasonable time but nothing we could do would get him to sleep - he did get over it thankfully, I think we just stopped caring and did what we could but if he was too tired in the morning then hey ho. Though if I recall correctly i did hide my head in shame at the school gates incase anyone commented on my little vampire x

The day is here, enjoy the concert nickel and wycombe. Really looking forward to hearing about it - was sorely tempted myself but just didn't fit with hubbys birthday celebrations. Should be magical, with the added bonus of BA, can't wait for you to tell us what he's like in rl! :)

Morning rich CJ all picked up nice and early from Maddie, who I have to say had a rather rested rosy glow about her this morning. CJ has obviously been on his best behaviour there!! He was quite delighted to see the Aston Martin Vanquish today - boy with a toy mode going on here now, think he rather see himself in the Bond role!!

Rich CJ was quite excited about your new title and wondered did you pick up the extras that this role gives you access to and he would like to be made aware!! Could be an active couple of days!!

pix loved the picture - made me laugh, but MRBK thought it was a bit below the belt!!

Nickel hope the concert goes to plan tonight and BA lives up to expectations! Pics and sound would be amazing or at least full debrief!!
Good luck with the DS - ours did something similar, we went down the lots of pre bed cuddles, then the night light and sitting outside the door for a few weeks, just let him know we were there but not going in thing - painful but he got used to it. Has something changed at school or anywhere else that means he is seeking reassurance?
