No plans as such. He's going to work in the bunker with me for a while. He likes to play soldiers with the boys.

KellyHb · 23/11/2015 16:37

Afternoon all.

Had a very busy weekend doing things non children related. Yey!

Hope everyone else had a good one too. orph hope you're not wearing CJ out too much. I want to be the one to do that when it's my turn Wink

Caught up on Strictly earlier. Complete travesty that Jamelia was booted off. Peter was the worst dancer by a mile on the night. You could see the 3 judges that voted in favour of PA looked embarrassed. Makes me think is there fixing going on like some people say.Hmm

Seaham Hall orph I've never been to but have heard of it. Its not that far away from me. I would love to say it's the type of place I go for cream teas regularly but fraid not.

Dizzydots · 23/11/2015 18:48

Hi kelly waves. Non child related, what a treat, hope you got to enjoy your time off. Sure it's safe to say CJ will be hoping for r&r once he gets to you!

Dizzydots · 23/11/2015 18:49

maddie how's AUH going? Can you recommend yet? I haven't got round to starting but may do tonight.

MaddieMoo82 · 23/11/2015 19:03

kelly hope your had a fab weekend. Did you get to the cinema?

dizzy it's ok just lots of scene setting and introductions to characters. It's going to be good I think just going to take a while to get going.

icemistOBE · 23/11/2015 21:13

Oh Jen that was a great chapter! You do tease us Grin

That hotel room has to see some between the sheets action! Blush

KellyHb · 23/11/2015 21:31

Thanks mads dizzy yip saw Spectre. It was pretty good. You could see how it could be portrayed as Daniel Craig's last one. Bought a hot dog as well as a pic 'n' mix before I went in and the hot dog tasted awful. I'd never bought one from a cinema before but I won't be again, that's for sure.

Did some shopping on the Saturday in town but spent most of the time having a leisurely cocktail and some wine while having a meal out. Watching DH's jaw drop when he got the bill was quite amusing. Grin

Ilovelblue · 23/11/2015 22:38

Jen lovely chapter.... so near yet so far. Please don't leave it too long before updating. They have to get together properly after the wedding surely?

Greenstuff is still piling on the tension as well!

My friend with the financial difficulties is coming for tea on Wednesday so that may not be too easy an evening. I also rang the mother of the man who died from cancer (with the three young children) today and am going to see her next week. At least she has a daft dog which will help ease the situation if it's hard going.

Managed not to fall asleep tonight in front of the telly but am going to bed now.

Night all.

Richtea19 · 23/11/2015 22:43

jen briliant new update on Here Come the Sun!!!! So much tension in the bed without anything happening!!! The power of your excellent writing skills (X)

Freezing day today, we had a thick frost and I was late to work having to scrape my car, who puts their car in a garage these days? Ours is so full of junk! Fleece PJ's and bed socks tonight, shame I don't have CJ to warm me up... Not long to the 3rd Dec...my turn :)

BK28 · 23/11/2015 22:53

orph the original sales pitch for the Spa resort to DH was that he might like to do a Boot Camp ,sounds manly, when we started looking at dates nothing was available but he thought that the other activities on offer would give him something to do - have also suggested he takes his own road bike in case it all gets a bit much! He wasn't too keen on the idea of some gentleman's pampering, but is now asking do I think the massage might sort his back out! Actually we have had such a rubbish year and we are both exhausted that I just want to go somewhere where I can legitimately wander around in a dressing gown all day and they feed me!!

MaddieMoo82 · 23/11/2015 22:55

Glad you got to the cinema kelly sounds like a good weekend.
Such a good chapter Jen, jealous of molly and her wake up though!

orphan · 24/11/2015 07:29

The only downside to having CJ in every concievable position to stay is that it's very difficult to get up to go to work.

Yesterday I smuggled him into school and he agreed to hide out in the stationery cupboard which certainly perked up my break and lunchtime. The uses he found for border tape and long rulers were eye wateringly creative. And he tidied up the shelves.

BK I found some of the men in bathrobes rather alarming - they'd sit with their legs crossed or wide apart in that 'I'm male and have to air my balls' kind of way and I'm not convinced that all of them had anything on underneath.

orphan · 24/11/2015 07:34

pixie I think the Archers writers have watched one too many b&w films of the 'loving husband is in fact a money grabbing psychopath' variety. I fully expect Rob to have grown a moustache for Movember and dastardly twirling purposes.

pixieg1rl · 24/11/2015 08:22

I'm saving my grr's for Pat, orph. The character has changed direction so quickly in the last couple of months I've got whiplash.

MaddieMoo82 · 24/11/2015 09:47

Sounds like your having a busy time with CJ orph! Where have you hidden him today?
DP home sick from work today so feels like I'm looking after two children Hmm

pixieg1rl · 24/11/2015 09:52

I used to have a rule of 'if you're not in bed I expect you to help with the baby' on days like that mads. Usually got him back to work nice and quick.

Thanks ladies on the ff. Feeling a bit meh about it all at the moment, so it's good to know it's not a universal feeling.

That's not good mads. Hubs has started working from home on a Monday, which is my only non working day during the week, and was the only day I am able to achieve much - lets just say it's not been good for our marriage so far!! Confused

pixieg1rl · 24/11/2015 10:15

I know where you're coming from with the meh about writing Jen. Cannot be arsed right now. Luckily for us your meh feelings don't seem to be reflected in the actual writing. Grin

BK28 · 24/11/2015 12:08

jen I had to tell DH that he was only allowed to work from home on the days I was out as he started questioning what I was doing or actually wasn't and basically getting in the way... near divorce situation!! Now he knows that if I'm in he has to go in his study and stay there!!! It's all about rules and boundaries - the home is my workplace not his!!

Your level of meh certainly doesn't show in your writing jen!! I think we are all feeling it at the mo - grey skies and rain do nothing to lift any of us, says she who is sat at work staring at a plain wall listening to the Military Wives CD - just feeling total angst and blue!!!

Maddie no pampering - he'll soon get the picture!! pix has it right!!

Sending Flowers & chocolate to you all Flowers ChocolateFlowers

SoEverybodyDance · 24/11/2015 12:35

Hi everyone, thanks for your nice comments about returning to FF, it wasn't the best chapter tbh but it got me into writing again and your responses are really encouraging me to do more...

BK I like your rules for your DH when he's at home. When my DH is at home I'm expected to stop what I am doing and do DIY with him. It's frustrating!

Jen, what a minx you are! Teasing us with that marvellous chapter... I've got lots of FF to catch up on, but I caught up with yours last night and enjoyed it ever!

Been bloody freezing here recently. Obvs I just need to go back to bed and read...

KellyHb · 24/11/2015 12:46

Afternoon all.

Re: partners/husbands being home ill, I don't know why but if DH is ever at home feeling like that, I have absolutely no sympathy for him. For some reason, I get grumpy with him. But of course when I'm ill, I need the violins out, the works. Double standards much? Grin

Went to the garden centre this morning straight after kids drop off. Bad idea, as I got too carried away with buying Xmas decorations. Eek. I'll have to be extra nice to DH when he gets in. Hmm

Yes, it is all a bit meh at the moment. I'm just looking forward to the Xmas holidays when hopefully DH has some decent holiday to take and we can try and relax a bit famous last words

Nickel45 · 24/11/2015 13:39

jen you're latest chapter is anything but meh! As if!!!! I can't wait to see what happens next ... soon ... please??!!!

SPO ... what can I say?! Beck and Morley just make me crease up! And CJ as their straight man! Awesome!! I really hope they aren't in the real S2 because I really don't think I could take them seriously! Even S1 makes me laugh, but I don't think they are ever in the same scene ... just as well! And Georgie Lane ... brilliant, if she was like this in S2 TG would have done good!!! By the way, are you still reading this? How about a mention of Nutella in the next chapter, just so's we know?! (ooh, a new game, give SPO something to include in the next chapter, like when news readers have to include song titles in their reports ... or am I making that up?!). Anyway ....... :)

BK28 · 24/11/2015 13:54

Ooh Kel you can't beat a bit of Christmas Decco buying - I have a penchant for baubles and am supposed to be restricted to one new one a year - Whoops - well what he doesn't know etc!!! and they were really small ones!!!

Love that game idea Nickel !!

LolaKent14 · 24/11/2015 15:26

Stags alert! It's big and bold!!!

KellyHb · 24/11/2015 16:03

Lovely pic. Oo that's what I call a sparkly stag lola. Actually looking at that Vision Express behind it has just reminded me to pick up DD's new glasses. Cheers for that as well Lola. Smile

Oo yes BK I was like a kid in a candy store. Smile I just love all the sparkly stuff and a love of big shiny balls. I think I get it from my grandparents as they loved it however my Mam isn't really into the whole Xmas deckies like I am.

DD's come in with her school shoes practically caked in mud. I doubt I'll ever get those clean!!
