Has the body started to smell or was it just Kylie getting more paranoid.

I'm off to Manchester on Saturday to do the Coronation Street tour. Am unfeasibly excited :)

Enjoy, Sweetest, we were like kids at Christmas, or something, when we did it. So excited! I'd love to do it again, I know it's finishing at the end of the year, which I think is a pity.

Would the body smell? I keep thinking surely it would. It's not that deep is it?

I think it depends on how well it's sealed. If there was a smell, and not in Kylie's imagination, it would attract flies I would have thought (I have had a dead rat experience)

I still think Callum got out btw!

I keep wondering how this Callum story line is going to be resolved. Soaps only ever create secrets for them to be revealed at some point so the murder is bound to come to light. Soaps are also quite moral and characters always pay for their crimes eventually. All of which adds up to Kyle, David and Sarah being up on a murder charge in the future. Are any of the actors leaving? If not, maybe the whole thing does get resolved by Callum being alive after all

I missed the episode when they actually buried him, not sure if he's sealed in concrete or just put in to the drain under the manhole cover, if it's the latter it will smell yes.

Can I repeat my pet theory?

Tony said something way back when Gail's hole was first discovered, that it needed proper investigating and then filling. Otherwise it would be a point of weakness under the structure. He could just cover the top, but it would be stronger if the job was done thoroughly. After some umming and aahing, they went for the thorough job.

So Tony/Jason would have opened the manhole, and seen a quilt cover that wasn't there before, go to pull it out and finger the body. Then they would either cover it directly with concrete in situ, or would have moved it (not knowing who was responsible for the death, but afraid that they might have been seen with his car), then filled the hole and skimmed the floor. They're saying nothing.

So perhaps his body could turn up somewhere else, precipitating Tony/Jason exit stories? If so, poor Liz.

I think Kylie has got a touch of the Lady Macbeth's in smelling those smells. I hope that stays as a minor, occasional thing though. She's always been tough. Don't want to see her lose it and stop coping. Sarah's hyperbole was unconvincing enough, don't want it added to.

I've missed more episodes than I thought, I didn't realise Tony/Jason were involved.

I didn't think they they'd filled in the manhole. I thought David insisted on just having the manhole cover sealed with concrete, because he wanted the job done quickly.

I can see what's going to happen, they'll be a toilet blockage or something like that, then they'll have to investigate, what a mess!

Did David insist? Curses, bang goes my pet theory!

(I only half watch these days, so could easily have missed that, as there was all sorts of to-ing and fro-ing about what instructions, from whom and when).

They saw his car on the street, TWOCed and burnt it. Thus throwing spanner in David's plan to put body into car and drive it somewhere random. Not sure if he was going to torch it, or just abandon it (after sticking the body in the canal or summat).

Oh, so Tony/Jason don't know he's dead, just that they got rid of the car.

They didn't know where he was when they took the car.

We don't know what they did the next morning when they were working on the conversion, other than it ended up with a fresh concrete floor. The possibility that they opened the hole etc, is purely my speculation. So it's Shroedingers manhole.

They have just concreated over it. It's going to become weaker until one night Gails bed will have fallen into the hole and Callums decayed rotting face will be staring back at her.

Reading comments on Digital Spy recently about the decor in various houses. I think Fizz and Tyrone's house would do my head in. There are so many busy colours and patterns going on.

I really dislike the new format of Digital Spy. It's too messy and I don't like that there's now no comments under the articles (to get us to join and read the forums?).

Yes, it's messy. I much preferred the previous layout.

I am glad it's not just me it's really annoying.

I've seen people giving out about it on another forum I'm on. I've seen a few suggested alternative sites, for soap news, will post the links here.

These may be worth a look, since Digital Spy messed up...
