yy Mollie - how old is Emily?
With the high altitude, long flight etc complete rubbish.
Why Peru or Spehhhhhn where they usually go, or more likely Cartmell?
(Maybe the distance is so we can't all chirp up when she does not visit for a wedding or funeral etc )

I agree that Emily going to Peru is ridiculous. Much more realistic for her to be inspired to do even more charity work closer to home.

I'm usually emotionless watching Corrie these days but self-righteous Leanne annoyed me last night claiming the moral high ground with Carla.

Emily's in her eighties, isn't she? I was wondering about the travel thing. It's hardly Morecambe.

I wonder where Simon is nowadays. Have all the problems been solved? Ridiculous about Emily going so far at such short notice. Has she even got suitable clothing for Peru?

Surely Emily would need innoculations and suitable clothing, currency etc. It would take weeks of planning, nonsense.

Apparently he's ill in real life - not sure what's wrong with him but it's why he left so suddenly & why he wasn't in the live episodes. They had to re-write those according to what I read at the time. Hope he's ok.

I haven't missed the Nazirs at all - happy if they stay away.

I thought they were gearing Leanne getting together with the young nazir son( forgot his name sorry) and it would be a story of stepmum getting with the stepson. I'm sure I read that.

Now it's like they want her with Robert , but then last night she was sticking her nose into Nick and Carla's business.

I wouldn't have thought Mary would get involved with a married man.

How come there's always a taxi outside the factory when someone needs one? And why does Carla need to shout "Taxi!!" when there's one already sitting there...?

I made my post earlier about not knowing who Leanne was being lined up to be with but now Carla and Robert.

Will this be a love triangle or the predictable Nick finds out and forgives Carla anyway.

I always wonder how Carla looks so perfect, despite skulling wine like there is no tomorrow .

Simon Gregson is off long term with depression.

Steve/ Simon is a big loss, I wish him well.

I agree about Steve. He's a fab character. Last night's episodes were pretty pedestrian as they have been all Christmas. I like Carla and the actress who plays her, but it's turned into the Carla show again and that's crap for a new years day episode. There's just been nothing special about the Christmas episodes at all.

In old Corrie this would have slow burned into a great storyline . Now they will probably reveal it in the next episode.
