A new thread as we head towards the worst part of every soap year - Christmas.

Dreading the return of Simon.

Dreading more of the arr Gareh & Alya "plot".

When did the brewery close and become a convenient empty garage?

Make yourself at home and get ready for more totally hopeless acting - it has to improve soon, surely?

OP posts:

I can't even remember why Rob murdered Tina.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 07/12/2015 23:29

Cos she was going to shop him and Tracey for buying knock off for their shop and cos he was on parole he would have been banged up. YAWN

NuggetofPurestGreen · 08/12/2015 07:08

Actually more accurately she fell off the balcony when they were fighting about the above, and because she said she was going to tell Carla about the affair. But I think he actually killed her because she said she was going to tell the coppers that he tried to kill her by pushing her off balcony.

southeastdweller · 08/12/2015 07:47

ellen You're right that the writers messed up again - Sarah's pregnancy was 16 weeks last week and 20 weeks this week.

I really felt for Audrey last night.

Rachel0Greep · 08/12/2015 08:06

And we have had the story of Ken wearing jeans already, just very recently...

eddiemairswife · 08/12/2015 10:48

If Ken already had a newish pair of jeans why was it so urgent for Nessa to rush out of the shop to get some more? The stories don't make sense anymore.

Rachel0Greep · 08/12/2015 11:04

Also, in that tiny house, how did Nessa and Cathy not realise that Ken and Roy could hear them, and why did the women not react, in any way, when Ken turned up the music, to drown them out. Hmm

unimaginativename13 · 08/12/2015 15:21

Surely If it were real life David and Kylie would have thought (like most people) dead bodies smell when you bury them.

That's how they ALL get found out.

Does concrete not apply to this?

If they were a bit older they would have remembered Brookside and clearly not done this.

( I was a Brookside watcher and would now know not to bury a body under a patio)

eddiemairswife · 08/12/2015 16:09

I thought Eccles smelt something when she got excited when passing the garage a few episodes ago, but I was probably mistaken.Sad

NuggetofPurestGreen · 08/12/2015 16:15

Brookside wasn't the smell though was it unimaginativename? I thought it was cos the ground got dug up due to a leak or something?

hildasmuriel · 08/12/2015 23:12

I don't know how deep down a body needs to be to not smell. Obviously there is a limit or graveyards would stink. Can't imagine Callum is that deep though and he's only wrapped in his pirate blanket. I don't think it was the smell though in Brookside, I think they had a problem with drains or something as they were digging up and found a hand.

If Callum's body is deep enough not to smell they could leave him down there for years.

SerafinaScoresby · 09/12/2015 21:10

If Sarah keeps this baby, it's half-uncles' stepson will be its half-brother.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, I haven't read the full thread.

SymphonyofShadows · 09/12/2015 22:54

I still think that there is a possibly that Callum got out because of the thing about the old factory drains. Probably completely wrong though.

Rachel0Greep · 10/12/2015 10:20

I had hoped when the body in the canal turned up, it would be him. It's soap, after all, and anything is possible. I wonder if they will leave that particular mess to be sorted out by Kate Oates, when she takes over.
Body in canal would have been an okay ending, the thought of him being under the house, is disgusting.

DeepBlueLake · 10/12/2015 10:58

Didn't Colin Fishwick's body start to smell which is why the discovered his body as they had to dig up Underworld due to them thinking it was a plumbing problem.

eddiemairswife · 10/12/2015 11:11

He can't have got out, because the wrapped body was still there when David tried to get it out the next day.

Wishful80smontage · 10/12/2015 11:12

I think they will leave it to the new boss too Rachel agree its grim thinking of him being right there when they are doing breakfast scenes etc horrible

oneowlgirl · 10/12/2015 18:12

Please remind me who Colin Fishwick was, thanks!

ellenanora5 · 10/12/2015 18:28

oneowlgirl, I think he was killed by John Stape, not sure though because I think he killed a woman as well and stuck her body in a wheelie bin and Fiz went to prison for it.

I think John Stape was pretending to be Colin so he could go back to teaching after his fling with Rosie.

Not sure at all I could be completely wrong

oneowlgirl · 10/12/2015 20:57

That rings a bell, thank you!

millimat · 10/12/2015 22:35

Ellanora, sounds a familiar story.

SymphonyofShadows · 11/12/2015 08:09

Colin Fishwick had been beaten up by debt collectors and died in Fiz's house. Obviously, rather than calling the police like sensible people, Stape and the woman he killed hid the body. Then iirc she blackmailed him into having a relationship with her. Colin Fishwick was a teacher and Stape had been teaching using his ID as he couldn't use his own after kidnapping Rosie Webster. Like you do.

eddiemairswife · 11/12/2015 10:12

But it was further complicated with a storyline about Colin Fishwick's mother, which resulted in her death.

SymphonyofShadows · 11/12/2015 11:07

I'd forgotten all about that. Wasn't there a siege or kidnapping too?

Rachel0Greep · 11/12/2015 21:20

Well that was fairly rubbish tonight, socks, cucumbers, Nessa's hair. Yawn.
