Corrie thread - we haven't even got a dog storyline to keep us going now

A new thread as we head towards the worst part of every soap year - Christmas.

Dreading the return of Simon.

Dreading more of the arr Gareh & Alya "plot".

When did the brewery close and become a convenient empty garage?

Haven't they got that all-through loft space? I think I remember Leanne and Nick in bed doing you-know-what when some one fell through on to them.

Not sure about roofspace. Yeah that was funny with Nick and Leanne Grin.

That made me think of Cilla and Les in their hot tub thing. The dog leapt in and the floor collapsed IIRC.

Although didn't Todd move out/get thrown out when he had that big bust-up with them all? Don't know where he moved to, though, or whether, like Michael, he's mysteriously moved back in.....

Who knows or cares? I thought Todd moved back but not sure. Totally confused about Michael. I think Sean has the front room.

Yes, Todd seems to have just reappeared, and moved back in.
I think Eileen felt sorry for him, when she knew he had volunteered a kidney for Jason, when he mistakenly thought that he was going to need one.
Todd's scar seems to be gone. Wink

All I could think was, what a boring first date. Yeah, let's go to the Rovers. Sarah (sort of) works there. Could they not go a bit further afield, and then return, for the omnipresent Billy to appear...

If it was contraception failure, you might not notice until discovery of pregnancy. All forms have a failure rate even with 'perfect' use.

She's been PG twice before, at least one of those was also a late discovery. Perhaps overlaid by underage panic. But also perhaps she continues to have a form of period during PG. And if pill failure and she's still taking it, then continuing withdrawal bleed is fairly common.

Agree, Corrie is unpleasantly superficial these days.

And I don't think they've ever had scriptwriters who understand pregnancy. Not since the death of Tracey's twins at 26 weeks gestation was described as a miscarriage not stillbirths.

Apart from the body under floorboards and hope cancer story (though don't know if soap every killed of a child that wasn't a teen or newborn) there's nothing exciting going on. Do we care if Nik and Carla are engaged when they have how many marriages between them?

I don't read spoilers unless it's to times week in advance but struggle to see how exciting the next 3 weeks can be to make Christmas viewing exciting!
