Yes, but she was also very snippy about Whitney not pulling her weight around the pub, which really doesn't relate to Lee at all. (I can't bear the character - wish she'd clear off back to her own pub.)

She was flipping between being nice and then being horrible and what did she mean about Linda being a 'peacock'? I think they want her to be a matriarchal figure like EE old days (Pat, Peggy etc) but the actress is poor and we as viewers have no interest in her or her story. Her feuding with Babe is tedious too. As if two women would really argue that much about being about to dress up as Mick's partner for Halloween :/

I thought Elaine did know about the depression but didn't really believe it was a problem. Maybe there's some history of her with depression, either herself or someone she was close to who she failed to support & she can't bear to see Whitney doing what she couldn't. Has Linda's dad ever been mentioned in the present tense/where he is now?

I think their surname is Peacock - I'm sure it was mentioned ages ago that Elaine decorated her pub with peacocks, hence Linda's bird/flamingo thing.

I quite liked Linda's Mum as an occasional character as she just came in and brightened things up a bit. It seems like they're turning her into a nasty character and a bully, it's unpleasant. The whole thing with Whitney gives me the creeps.

Agree with everyone about the Elaine/Whitney thing - she's made several comments about Whitney not helping out, or earning her keep or whatever. Whitney is acting a bit desperate, though - she deserves way better than Lee after all the shit she's been through.

Stacey reacted badly to Shabnam's speech because she feels guilty. There is no one else in the running else they would have overlapped Stacey's pregnancy with her breakup with Dean, getting together with Martin, showing concrete proof that her and Kush slept together. Nope they are just rewriting it. Stacey wasnt sleeping with anyone else at the time.The wedding will be interesting, if it even goes ahead. I hate what they are about to do with Shabnam. She lost her baby ffs, they could at least let her have a happy wedding/marriage.

This thing with Sharon and Gavin is fucking stupid. I wish EE would give us some credible storylines for a change.

I assume he isn't taking them either. All they are showing is him being a bit of a knob to Whitney and drinking a lot so assume he is still depressed and not taking his meds.

He wasn't taking them at first and then I thought he was talked to by some family me or or another and was taking them. Judging by his behaviour, I would say that he clearly isn't taking them or they aren't working.

It's probably the right way to go with his story as it shows that it's not necessarily as easy as popping a few ADs.

I re-read my comment above and wanted to clarify that I didn't mean that Lee is somehow 'unworthy' of Whitney because of his MH issues. He clearly needs a lot of support, and I really hope I didn't inadvertently cause offence to anyone by saying she deserved better. MH issues aside, though, he's never been that into the relationship, has he?

I think she's in love with the idea of a nice stable relationship and the whole Carter family dynamic, rather than with Lee himself. She desperately wants what she's never had, and she's compromising herself and making excuses for Lee just to hang on to it.
Have she and Fatboy ever had a thing? They could be good together.
