It was nice to see Kush, Shabs, Stacey, Martin, Lee and Whitney hanging out in the Vic yesterday, nice to see some proper friendships rather than the usual partner swapping that goes on in EE. But maybe that's all about to be ruined now as the baby isn't Martins.

Didn't Stacey sleep with Kush? Or was that just flirting? I thought that maybe Kush was the baby's dad.

Last time Jean was in the programme (when she got married) there was an argument involving a key that was something to do with Stacey's dad that was never made clear.

I'm sure I saw something the other day (maybe on FB or instagram) about Kat and Alfie coming back next year. It made my heart sink as I can't stand them. Maybe the whole twin story will come out then. Although it is ridiculous that they started that story then did nothing with it.

And now that about half of the square know that Bobby killed Lucy when is Bobby going to find out?

What happened to Lauren? Did she go back to NZ? I think I may have missed an episode or two.

Kyle will be Stacey's brother she never knew she had, although would have been sister originally. The key will unlock something that shows this. Jean is ashamed of it, possibly had to give the baby up which is why she doesn't want Stacey to know.

Sean will be Zoe's twin, that's why they showed him randomly Skyping Stacey around the time we discovered Kat had twins, without bloody knowing.

Yep Kat and Alfie are coming g back, although I don't think it's permanent. Possibly to wrap up this brain tumor/secret twin thing.

Stacey's baby is going to be Kush's. Even though EE didn't show they slept together, it's obviously what they are hinting at. Stacey had nothing to do with Max or Lee and Dean was too long ago. We the baby is born, it will too obvious to ignore. Leading to more heartbreak for Shabnam although this is looking likely to come out sooner than that.

They must be building to Deans comeuppance.

Why is Mick getting rid of Linda? I thought he told Ronnie he wanted nothing to do with her scheme?

Libby spoke to Chelsea on the phone and said she couldn't tell Denise. Libby possibly failing/dropped out of Oxford? She was trying to tell her something then Denise was going on about how proud she was etc and Libby couldn't tell her. Off she went, do we care?

So Stacey's long lost sister is now a man, Kyle.
Not being judgy, just curious, but how many women transform into men? Is it less than men who become women? I am aware that it happens, but is it rare? I read somewhere once that Calamity Jane was based on a woman becoming a man in the wild west. Not sure how true that is, but makes sense..(i should look it up, but just wondered if anyone had real life experience or knows a man who was a women at birth?)
Stupid of Sharon to let her dad go. Poor Phil is skint now, who will pay the bills and pay wages for the arches?

Yes creepy dude with key was Kyle. I'm guessing it is a matching key to the one Stacey had rather than it being the same one. Maybe Stacey's dad gave them one each? Didn't she say before the key came from her dad? Plus she mentioned seeing her dad (in what I am assuming was a near death experience, she was looking up when she was saying 'don't go' so don't think she was mistakenly looking at Kyle). Usually when a character starts mentioning people, they return or have something to do with the storyline. Billy keeps mentioning Honey and William.

EE needs some new families rather than re-inventing back stories for existing characters involving long-lost, long-forgotten kids, siblings and parents.

Wildheart, agree, maybe its the cutbacks? Rather than have a whole new family its a bit cheaper to recycle, have the odd new person around who has links to existing characters, ie Gavin?
It is becoming a bit Dallas.

If I were an EE writer (I'm not) then this is how it will pan out:

Dean is the father of Stacey's baby, making the baby Jades younger brother. Shabnam will get custody back of Jade.

Stacey's dad isn't really dead, she did see him because him and Jean went seperate ways to raise Stacey and Kyle as her dad got caught in some witness protection thing and decided Jean wouldn't cope with both

Sean is Zoe's twin

Stacey will become very unwell mentally and leave Shabnam looking after the baby and that's when Shabnam will realise it's Jades younger brother as the baby will have CF

Stacey will then murder Dean on diminished responsibility to the annoyance of Ronnie but they'll then become bffs because of it

And Kaffys been bugged by Gavin so when Ian told her about Bobby he found out and he'll make a deal with the police that he walks free in exchange for the truth on Lucy's murder. Max is then released and Bobby goes to YO.

I really hope Kush is not the baby's dad - the one storyline EE has done well lately has been Shabs losing the baby, it would make that really shit if he turns out to be the dad of this baby

I'm also waiting for a bigger storyline to come up for Denny, since they replaced the angel faced cherub with a hard nut ttype to fit in with the trouble he is always getting into. And so he fits in with the faaammily!

Stacey hiding a secret about the health of the baby which is why she hid the scan pic and didn't want Martin to accompany her. Scans don't show the baby's race so it has to be a disability or something? Maybe as a result of her medication.

The figure she saw is her sister, who is now her brother. That's why he looks like her dad.and why she didn't recognise him straight away.

That's my theory. Not a spoiler. Just making it up .

Also, I'm so bored of those Linda and Mick moments where they talk ambigiously about the rape. Yes, she will never get over it and he is fustrated that his hands are tied but we've had that same scene and same conversation so many times. It needs to be done differently now or put on a back burner.

TheDiet I agree about the Linda and Mick thing. I also think the kind of character they portray Mick to be just wouldn't put up with all of that. He would not allow Dean in the pub etc. He would have beaten the crap out of him.

I guess we need to,think Mick is in two minds to see off Dean because he is his brother and he has actually grown fond of Shirley again? He is loyal to Linda too - hence all this will he wont he?
I,think he will finally snap, but they like dragging out stories forever.
It does get tedious.

What is annoying me about EE atm is the fact that every single major storyline has been dragged out sooooo long that we just lose interest. There is no need to do this for every single storyline. It just irritates viewers.
