My theory is that Stacey's dad couldn't cope with Jean's bipolar & had an affair. The keys are to something that belonged to Stacey's dad & Kyle's mum. Kyle's mum has recently died & left a letter explaining the truth about his dad & the key. Now he knows about his siblings he's come to find Stacey & hopes she'll know what his key is for.

I'm struggling with the idea that Kush might be Stacey's baby-daddy. It would just be an awful/unlikely storyline. If it were true then Stacey would still be mooning over Kush or avoiding him altogether & she wouldn't have left him alone when his baby died. I suspect it'll be Dean's & it'll come out so he'll try to get involved & that's when Ronnie will finally get rid of him - something to do with solidarity with Stacey after Archie raped them both.

I did snigger at Gavin's comment about Vincent's dad - "he was never really part of the gang". Poor Mr Hubbard!

I doubt that Sean will turn out to be Zoe's twin. The family cared enough about Zoe to keep her & when Stacey first appeared there were comments about how their family had abandoned them after Brian died - I can't see them leaving their grandson with an unstable woman without trying to help. Wherever he went, assuming that Charlie/Viv had something to do with taking him from Kat, they must've thought he'd be well looked after. Maybe it'll turn out to be Ryan & Stacey will freak out that there might be something wrong with Lily... Has there been an actual incest storyline in EE before?

My understanding of Sharon's early years were that her mum had PND so expected Gavin to look after her but instead he handed her over to his mate so Den would get him in on a job, not necessarily one that Den was involved with personally but one he knew about. Sometime later he got his sister to do the paperwork so Den & Angie could adopt Sharon officially without SS being involved.

nancy75 · 04/11/2015 16:12

Just a thought, how is Gavin's sister so posh when Gavin is not posh at all?
We almost had an incest story with Sharon and Dennis, he was dens real son

MagpieCursedTea · 04/11/2015 16:21

My Dad and one of his sisters are quite posh, the other sister is the exact opposite of posh. It happens!

I really don't want Stacey's baby to have some sort of medication related problem. I have bipolar and took a small amount of medication during pregnancy. It was a really tough choice to make, DS seems unaffected by it but I'm not sure I could handle watching that storyline!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/11/2015 20:34

Thought we said that sean couldn't be Zoe's twin as diff ages and tbh giving bi polar Jean a baby that wasn't hers to look after and keep secret would have sent her over the edge ........

Stacey met Linda outside chippy ages ago and said she know what he was like - ie he raped Stacey or was forceful - so going with dean for the dad

He's has super sperm Hmm

Scans have dates on them. Stacey is further along then what she is hence why can't be martins baby

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 04/11/2015 20:53

I'm sure she split up with Dean far too long ago for the baby to be his.

AGnu · 04/11/2015 21:11

What's confusing me though is that presumably she's been going for these scans at what would be about the right dates for it to be Martin's, otherwise he might have questioned why she was going for a 20 week scan when she should only be about 15 weeks. Not that I expect EE to really have thought that much about the details... Grin

southeastdweller · 04/11/2015 21:37

I'm sure she split up with Dean far too long ago for the baby to be his.

That's how I also remember it. Plus Dean is leaving soon anyway so from a soap point of view it would be silly to have the baby is, likewise with Max as he's not due back until autumn of next year. So I'm guessing the baby will be Kush's and it'll all come out over Christmas.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/11/2015 21:43

i think she is going to the scans late, so the 12 was more like 16 and 20 say 24/25 and size/weight wouldnt add up to scanner so they would know shes further along

OP posts:
southeastdweller · 04/11/2015 21:48

Looked it up - Dean and Stacey split up last December.

MagpieCursedTea · 04/11/2015 21:49

Maybe it'll only be like a week or two difference so long enough to question the paternity but not so long that it would be too odd to have the scans at those times.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/11/2015 21:59

sure kush and stacey didnt have sex, christ knows where they did if they did in the shed Grin

so not deans

so lee or im liking max that someone said

I don't think Martin would work it out tbh he is rather dense

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/11/2015 22:20

True. 2 unplanned babies 15/16yrs apart

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 05/11/2015 07:45

Did Stacey look at all worried about Martin seeing the scan in A&E?

SoupDragon · 05/11/2015 07:46

Would they do another dubious parentage story so soon after Oliver Carter?

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2015 11:42

I think Martin is too thick to reliese ????

LittleRedSparke · 05/11/2015 12:53

The figure she saw is her sister, who is now her brother. That's why he looks like her dad.and why she didn't recognise him straight away.

I thought this

Also, I'm so bored of those Linda and Mick moments where they talk ambigiously about the rape. Yes, she will never get over it and he is fustrated that his hands are tied but we've had that same scene and same conversation so many times. It needs to be done differently now or put on a back burner.

But isnt that more realistic? Never been in that exact position, but you do talk about it - ok, maybe they could show it less, but i dont think there is anything wrong here

What is annoying me about EE atm is the fact that every single major storyline has been dragged out sooooo long that we just lose interest. There is no need to do this for every single storyline. It just irritates viewers.

I disagree, if you want quick resolving storylines, then watch Neighbours, EE does it best when it slows things down and you know its bubbling under, and is building up to a big reveal - remember the Den/Angie divorce, the Sharon/Grant vic reveal... those are the ones that are remembered the most

notquitehuman · 05/11/2015 16:11

I hope the baby isn't Kush's because I really dislike how Eastenders will pile all the tragedy onto one character. It used to be Ronnie, now it's Shabnam.

I'm hoping it's not Martin's because I just find him annoying and offputting. I think it's true that women can smell desperation a mile off. I feel like he was just desperate to replace his old family.

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 05/11/2015 18:53

It is more realistic, but it makes for very repetitive TV. In the end EE is entertainment so a story like this needs to be entertaining as well as realistic. Noone expects Linda to get over it but those conversation with Linda furrowed brow and Mick moody face as just boring. They just repeat the same thing over and over again.

southeastdweller · 05/11/2015 19:05

I don't mind at all that Linda still talks about the rape the way she does and how it still affects her. It's affected her forever so I can understand why she talks about it and the way the scenes are written and acted (yes even by D.D) are pretty compelling to watch for me.

We know that Dean is leaving soon and I hope Linda talks about what happened after that and the writers don't 'forget'.

ChimpyChops · 05/11/2015 19:17

Sorry but was there a Tuesday night episode this week. I was working. Can't find it on catch up and I seem to have missed some stuff! :)

ChimpyChops · 05/11/2015 19:18

Missed a question mark there! :/

southeastdweller · 05/11/2015 20:16

Are you looking on iPlayer? Tuesday's episode is on there.

polarbearshuffle · 05/11/2015 20:16

Hi everyone. I've been lurking on the past few threads (you lot would make brilliant Sherlock Holmes') and now I really need to ask a question so I'm delurking! Sorry to change the subject but can anyone tell me when and how Denise returned to the Minute Mart?? I must have missed something somewhere. Confused
