Raahh · 11/10/2015 12:16

Bet Simon is gutted - they are being trounced in the ratings by a bunch of left footed celebs dancing.

And the highest ranking show of the year- people baking cakes. Cake

I think they should ditch the chairs round, and throw stale iced buns at the losers instead. Re-cycling, innit.

Here is what they will be singing (it's the 'Whitney Warning' )

THE BOYS

TOM BLEASBY
Whitney Houston – I Look To You

JAMIE ELDRIDGE
New Radicals – You Get What You Give

CHE CHESTERMAN
James Brown – It’s a Man’s World

BEN CLARK
Kodaline – All I Want

OLLIE MARLAND
Charlie Puth – Marvin Gaye

PAPASIDERO
Christina Aguilera. - Lady Marmalade

BRODIE KELLY
Christina Perri – A Thousand Years

MASON NOISE
The Weekend, Blackstreet, Justin Timberlake -Earned It/The Fix/Sexy Back

SIMON LYNCH
Jess Glynne – Hold My Hand

NATHANAEL LANDSKRONER
Whitney Houston – I Have Nothing.

SEANN MILEY MOORE
Shirley Bassey – I Who Have Nothing

JOSH DANIEL
Emeli Sandé - Clown

TOM DAVIES
Chris Brown – Turn Up The Music

JORDAN LUKE GAGE
Annie Lennox – No More I Love You’s

DANNY SHARPLES
Chaka Khan – Ain’t Nobody

GROUPS

MON AMIE
Britney Spears – …One More Time

THE FIRST KINGS
Natalie La Rose feat. Jeremih – Somebody

MENN ON POINT
OMI – Cheerleader

ALIEN
Nicki Minaj – Hey Mama

RUMOUR HAS IT
James Bay – Hold Back the River

4TH POWER
Christina Aguilera – Show Me How You Burlesque

DECIBELLAS
Demi Lovato - Skyscraper

Of course, this means nothing when we don't remember who is who!

See y'all later.

maybe it was the thought of going to Oldham that put him off ? Grin

OP posts:
Roussette · 12/10/2015 22:38

I read somewhere he has performed with Jessie J on the Ellen show in the US and already has a recording contract?!

Raahh · 13/10/2015 08:07

Yes, they mentioned Jj when he first auditioned. Can't imagine why anyone would choose to sing with that caterwauling woman, but hey ho Grin. I think he probably decided that he would be better without the Cowell machine, even if he takes longer to get there.

I hope they don't bring someone back.

OP posts:
The80sweregreat · 13/10/2015 08:44

Raahh, I hope they bring back wingman, I bet they don't though.
hearts, great nick name for Tom, have to think up some more for the others that are left! Dad jacket still makes me smile.
has anyone had a Nan story yet? still time, although its late this year getting to the live finals. maybe Judges fake houses will be condensed into a 2 hour show and loads of the blubbing cut out? I hope they are done by hallowee'n week. Oldham! Must be a posh house though, Grimmy must be loaded, he has been around a while taking licence fee money from us on radio one. I caught a bit of his show the other day, he seems a lot more chatty and normal on radio..

Roussette · 13/10/2015 09:15

Did they? Shows how I don't concentrate Grin I think he's made a wise choice but do hope wingman isn't reinstated, the novelty acts are wearing a bit thin now Grin

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 13/10/2015 12:02

He's given an interview this morning saying that he doesn't feel ready, the six chair challenge was the worst experience of his life and he doesn't feel that he can cope with the pressures of rejection like that.

He said in March he was singing in his bedroom and this is the first public performing he's ever done, so he doesn't want to stop someone who is 100% ready from going through and therefore won't be attending any further shows.

They have to replace him, right? Maybe Ollie or Wingman, considering they were originally in the chairs but were replaced.

The80sweregreat · 13/10/2015 14:21

Oh well. He has had publicity now, it all helps i guess.
The rounds are gruelling, when your very young its hard to take rejection. I dont blame him, the show isnt what it was.

SnowBells · 14/10/2015 00:25

Just saw this post now.

I don't get why people think 4th Power are professionals?!? I mean when do you count as a 'professional singer'? I'd think you'd only be one if you have a recording contract and had quite a bit of record sales (Billboard 100 and so on).

Going to loads of singing competitions is NOT being a professional. That's what amateurs do!! And in Asia, there are LOADS of singing competitions. I mean... I can go to dressage competitions. That doesn't make me a professional rider!!!

The Philippines is one of those places where you walk around in a mall, thinking there's a CD playing in the background... and then realize it's someone on a karaoke machine. So this doesn't surprise me.

Just listen to the interviews of the people who wrote 'Miss Saigon' and why they held auditions in the Philippines many years ago (apparently, they watched a documentary, and saw people in the Philippines marching and singing in tune). They ended up finding Tony Award winning Lea Salonga as a 17 year old.

LineyReborn · 14/10/2015 08:58

SnowBells, I think people tend to expect to see 'undiscovered' talent and so are searching for a label for the acts who are already well-known as competition winners elsewhere.

You're right that 'professional' isn't the appropriate label if the act doesn't have a contract. Maybe 'previously discovered' would be better, but that's so clumsy.

Need, agree with you,it feels staged. They will struggle for votes iss my guess.

Raahh · 14/10/2015 20:56

Professional means they sing for a living- it is their job, their profession. I bet Anton the Backing Singer describes himself the same way. It's not an insult- it's what they are. It's the way 4th Power are being touted as something totally new, that I object to.

Simon has said 'he doesn't know where they found them' Bull. - They have been around years, they have had a record deal (again, not a problem, so long as they are honest- and the label was owned by Sony. But Simon didn't know of them?)). In the internet age, feigning ignorance like this doesn't wash anymore. They have had millions of views on YouTube. The producers will have been very aware of them.

The annoyingly polished choreographed routines aren't what X Factor is about (and I bet they will conveniently already have a song/routine ready for every every theme during live showsHmm).

I want them to do Agadoo.Grin

OP posts:
The80sweregreat · 14/10/2015 21:03

Raahh, i will start a petition for slow / melisma ( do you spell it like that?) breathy agadoo. Or superman, either will do. They need to do this.. Lol
Could 4th power do this? I think not.

Raahh · 14/10/2015 21:08

'Superman' would cause their heads to explode.

It would be brilliant. Grin

I have nothing against them all personally- I'm sure they all love their Nan's. But they are not what I want on X Factor. I mean, they probably have their own stylists, and won't wear pleather. Shock.

OP posts:
HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 14/10/2015 22:54

Shock How very dare they!

Roussette · 15/10/2015 08:00

Grin at Agadoo. Or the Macarena?

I object to them, and Simon is daft if he thinks the general public can't spot it when he has a favourite. He had a grin all over his face. And not for the right reasons. I think he has boxes to tick. Little Mix are getting older, he is aiming for tweens or something probably.

The80sweregreat · 15/10/2015 08:19

I dont think they would appeal to the tweenies as little mix do somehow, they actually look older too. They might have done well on BGT, but I cant see the youngsters voting for them on this show.
There are not that many groups anyway - groups usually do badly so heres hoping its only a few weeks of them and their flicky hair. I bet Simon is fuming he didn't get the group category, but that would have raised suspicion even more I suppose. Cheryl will tire of them anyway, she wont like the competition.

Raahh · 15/10/2015 09:33

I heard on the radio this morning that Grimmy is bringing back MASON to fill the spot left by DadJacket.
He didn't even get a seatAngry

But I expect they think his knobbish attitude and the fact he might kick off any time would be good for ratings. Or something.

Hopefully he won't make it to lives- and if he does the GBP boot him off swiftly.

FFS. I would have preferred Wingman. nearly

4th power doing the Macarena would be funny. Or the Birdie Dance. In costume.

OP posts:
Roussette · 15/10/2015 13:03

Mason??? I thought he was told to eff off and never darken the XF door again! The show really is turning into a pantomime isn't it... Simon is desperately clutching at straws allowing someone to be brought back who he saw off..

Raahh · 15/10/2015 13:16

Ridiculous, isn't it? but then he gave Chezza s job, so he likes the violent types.

I hope the sound engineers and cameramen make Mason look as bad as possible. Shouldn't be hard. At least he only gets a trip to Oldham, not a jolly to the Maldives or somewhere.

I hope it's a mistake, and it is actually the mate in the glittery cardi who has been called back. Grin

OP posts:
HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 15/10/2015 13:20

I just got his name. Mason Noise. How lame.

squoosh · 15/10/2015 13:31

I missed the last two weekends X Factor shenanigans with enforced social activities.

The80sweregreat · 15/10/2015 14:08

Squoosh, sounds awful! Lol
This Mason guy was horrible, even brought someone else up with him to help him 'sing' some 'mash up' song.
Abused Simon, going on about having less airtime than the others. Lovely bloke. Surprised if he comes back, but who knows.

The80sweregreat · 16/10/2015 21:23

Ben Haenow and Kelly Clarkson have a song out! Just wanted to share that with my MN pals.
