Can't see a thread for this which started last night on BBC one , 9pm. I haven't seen the actress who plays Claire Church, the ex detective before, but she was in the Virgin Queen and Shameless. Set in Manchester and West coast of Scotland.
I thought it was based on a book ( possibly Nicci French or an author like that) but its not. Slow start, but the detective leading the investigations now was quite handsome and there is history between the two of them. The scenery for the west coast of Scotland was stunning.
Trouble is, I just felt it was cobbled together from other thrillers.

I am really not looking forward to tonight. It better not be annoying! I'm going to iron whilst I'm watching it so that I'm not tempted to change the channel mid way :D

I do have to say that I am totally jusging you all for swooning over the DCI. He's about as sexy as a naked mole.

So 20 mins in and we've learned nothing so far!

This is one of the most irritating programmes I've watched recently. I think 65% of Duffs script said

"Stares moodily out of window"

with a further 15% stating

"Stares anxiously at mirror"

5% "stares blankly in to thin air"

I was confused last week too. I came back to the thread for some clarity but everyone else seems confused too.

Maybe Lucy blamed the prostitutes/sex workers for her attack as she was possibly mistaken for one?

Wrong skin is obviously the wrong colour...

Actually, it's just annoying. It needs to be pacier to keep you hooked on the storyline and to care more about the characters.

Obviously, someone who is no longer properly in the police can just wander by themselves into a suspects house. Especially one with dangerous dogs in.

Fuck me this is dragging one.

And aren't they licky to have such fast and timely run trains? All the way from some Scottish island to Manchester! In what? An hour?

Maybe it will get more exciting now? If it was more than 4 episodes I don't think I would have stuck with it.

Why did Lucy not just go to the police at the time. She had acid burns on her.

What would there be more to show in more episodes? Just scenes of Scotland and characters staring into mirrors?

This should have been a 2-part drama.
