Will anyone be watching tonight?

it looks great, but not sure if i will be able to sleep afterwards!

OP posts:
SurlyCue · 24/09/2015 23:21

Why does Ricky not have a partner when everyone else seems to

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say i'll bet that was at Ricky's request Grin he seems the type to have researched the odds of being captured as a duo as opposed to a single fugitive. also, I don't imagine there would be many he would deem suitable to come with him. he has an air of superiority about him Grin

another one baffled at how lauren/Emily are still on the run! I mean who the hell sees a helicopter in the sky and decides to come out of their caravan into the open with a sodding rucksack and bright orange tent on it? Confused surely you stay put until the helicopter is gone at least?

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 24/09/2015 23:30

I'm thinking it's set up now.

Emily and Lauren had one camera person with them last week. Conveniently this week at the moment one legged it, dumping the other they had two camera people.

Baconyum · 25/09/2015 03:37

It's still interesting if more scripted than they want us to believe.

As for the missing being in contact with loved ones so early on this is I think accurate. We're so used now to being in constant contact that 24 hours seems much longer, plus there's the forbidden fruit factor - you want what you're not supposed to.

Although it's interesting the comments on military life as these guys would so not cope. I'm a brat and ex 'wife of' even now you can go weeks without hearing anything, female troops are often sent on detachment as soon as they're back from mat leave and I think anybody ex military who was a fugitive would do much better. They'd travel a lot lighter for a start and change their appearance more successfully and frequently. Just my opinion.

Tricks I think Ricky missed though he seemed to do pretty well (I hope they summarise at the end who evaded capture for how long as I'm finding it hard to keep track) include - not shaving his beard off, changing/discarding specs where possible (different spec frames can massively change how someone looks), letting them get into his head and going to LONDON!

I'm hoping the it guy and his pal do well. Have we met all the fugitives yet? Actually there must be a ch4 webpage off for a browse.

OddlyLogical · 25/09/2015 11:00

I am glad that Ricky got caught - he was an arrogant tosser.

Emily and Lauren are priceless to watch. They do really well one minute then are complete hapless disasters the next.

thunderbird69 · 27/09/2015 10:38

I can't believe that Ricky was so careless taking a lift with his friend. Had he just had enough and wanted to get caught? I would have thought the basic rules are - don't contact any friends or family, only use a cashpoint on the first day before you scarper, only travel in strangers' cars.

I don't think that would be easy, but surely the hunters would have no idea where you were if you did.

FeelingSmurfy · 27/09/2015 11:18

All I keep thinking is "why can't they do this for missing people" I know how expensive it is etc but if someone I loved was missing right now I would be going mad at the police that they weren't doing all they could (as they always say they are).

We do actually know a family who had a child go missing, it was about 20+ years ago though so this wouldn't have been possible, but it still comes in to my mind every time I watch this. Never been found Sad

Binglet · 27/09/2015 22:40

Just watched all three on catch up, well 1/2 way through third ep. Love it. DP and I have just spent an hour discussing our plan. We are about to start finalising the bean hoarding and code words. Blush

RebootYourEngine · 27/09/2015 22:55

I think ricky just gave up. It must get boring being on the run.

I cant remember the two guys on next weeks show.

G1veMeStrength · 30/09/2015 10:24

I've tried twice to watch the last episode and fell asleep both times. Please could someone tell me what happened? Last bits I saw was Emily coming back to caravan to find Lauren had done (or are their names the other way round) and Ricky getting a lift from a friend...

MamOfTwo · 01/10/2015 21:43

Anyone watching tonight? Can't believe Lauren and Emily are still on the loose!

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 01/10/2015 21:44

I'm watching. I can't believe that bloke went to his caravan in Wales. Very lucky not to get caught there.

quangotango · 01/10/2015 21:54

I think I'd try finding somewhere random fairly nearby, a garden shed or something, with a load of food and books and just hole up. It seems to be the moving around and phone communications that do for them?

SurlyCue · 01/10/2015 21:59

Really scary that they cloned her phone!! But now wondering why they havent been doing that throughout? Confused

SurlyCue · 01/10/2015 22:01

Yes i think i'd do the same quango who am I kidding? I would never volunteer to go on the run Grin

Pipbin · 01/10/2015 22:05

I agree Quango. Act like you are off to the other end of the county then go back home and sit in the loft for a couple of weeks.

Also, CCTV footage my fat hairy arse.

Binglet · 02/10/2015 10:24

I can't believe they went to his caravan. DP was shouting at TV. I'm slightly worried about how much DP has been thinking about it. Confused when that Adam was talking about prepping, he looked at me and said "I think that's a really good idea, we should start prepping". Hmmmm. He also has planned where he would go, what he would do and how he would do it. I think if we ever have to go on the run I might be ok if I stick with him.

thunderbird69 · 03/10/2015 17:08

If Adam could have stayed with that couple that helped him out, they'd never have found him. It was too random.

The 2 with the bikes were doing well, but heading for the caravan was bonkers!

I hope the 2 girls don't get caught. Wish they would tell us how long they've been on the run for.

lokijet · 05/10/2015 15:56

how do you hide with a camera crew in tow?? If they couldn't make public appeals fair enough but you can hardly lay low and blend in if followed by a camera ?

BondGate · 06/10/2015 06:18

Maybe part of the rules are that the hunters aren't allowed to look for the camera people in the same way, or mention them when making public appeals?

I bet the camera crew makes hitching lifts and the like easier though.

UnGoogleable · 08/10/2015 21:45

Is anyone watching tonight? I'm annoyed by the girl with the baby. Annoyed that she's blown her chances by going home, but also annoyed that she'd leave her baby for such a length of time in the first place for a bit of an adventure...

G1veMeStrength · 08/10/2015 22:10

I'm watching on plus one. The lad and his mother in law seem nice. Can't believe Grubby Lauren bouncing on Clean Bed. Have a shower ffs!!!

I was thinking that too! Grin

SurlyCue · 08/10/2015 22:24

As soon as i saw the MIL and SiL were heading for caister I knew they'd get caught by accident because i knew one of the other sets of fugitives had gone there.

G1veMeStrength · 08/10/2015 22:26

Starting to think this has been sponsored by Caister Caravans!
