Why don't any of them ever seem to get money out by cash back inside shops? Okay, you can't get as much at once, but wouldn't it be harder to trace? At least in terms of CCTV tracking your next moves?

Pipbin · 10/10/2015 16:31

But I guess the shop would show up and then narrow them down.

thunderbird69 · 10/10/2015 16:37

I don't think it would make any difference- the hunters would get an alert that the card had been used in the store and then they could use the CCTV to check it was the person they are hunting. I think the 2 girls have had the best ideas, eg working in exchange for bed and board.

thunderbird69 · 10/10/2015 16:39

it would be good if someone gave the camera crew the slip and disappeared completely.

Pipbin · 10/10/2015 16:44

When the married couple were hiding in their friends bedroom you could see that she had a small handheld camera so I think some of it is filmed that way.

I don't believe that - they would have had to arrange a month off work, childcare etc.

Jaxsbum · 11/10/2015 11:17

I did find it odd that the MIL was smoking inside that caravan.
I enjoy it, but can't help feeling its all a bit set up

BondJayneBond · 11/10/2015 11:54

Yeah, you'd need very understanding employers.

I didn't think the smoking was odd though, it's a stressful situation and it must be a bit boring too cooped up in a caravan. So it would seem pretty natural for a smoker to be smoking in the caravan.

Where is everyone?

Erm isn't freezing the bank account cheating? If not bloody unfair in my book!

SurlyCue · 15/10/2015 22:15

Yeah they kind of sprung that extraction plan on us at the last minute despite clearly all knowing about it from the start. And it makes me wonder why the hunters didnt just get flight manifestos from all airfields from the day before it ended so they could be sitting waiting. Completely convinced now that it was all scripted. Especially when a wanted poster turned up in the village lauren was hiding in despite the hunters having not mentioned knowing she was there at all. Hmm

SurlyCue · 15/10/2015 22:17

Same! And if they could do that then why not do it for all of them from the start? Confused same with the partner's phone cloning last week. Why not do it for all of them from the start.

Loada balls. All scripted. Waste of an hour watching.

Scripting meh its a tv show we expect that to a degree plus editing plus participants will have agreed to that, but as £450 in bank account to be accessible is part of the rules from beginning its massively out of order to just throw a paddy as they're doing well and decide to change the rules!

I was really surprised that the students grassed on emily for the money. And then I remembered its all bollocks anyway. Is it really too much for a tv show to do what it says on the tin?

Pipbin · 16/10/2015 16:50

The whole 'getting there just after the plane took off' thing was utter bollocks.

Oh i would have been gutten too. I was cheering them on as they ran to the plane. I thought the two men were going to get nabbed at the last minute.

thunderbird69 · 16/10/2015 19:25

Although I'm not sure of the authenticity of it all, I found it quite tense and was chuffed for those that made it to the plane. I thought it was lovely when Emily and Lauren were reunited Smile

Regarding the manifestos - maybe the airfield didn't have the names until the actual day of the flight. If they hadn't got the tip off about Surrey then they would have had no idea whatsoever about where they were. That part seemed the most dodgy of the whole series I think.

OddlyLogical · 16/10/2015 21:30

I really hated the whole extraction part.
Well done to the 4 of them who made it. Very different approaches from them but credit all round (despite some very dodgy decisions)

Should be easier for the next series as people will know what to expect.

Rivercam · 16/10/2015 22:16

Just caught up with the final episode.

I wondered whether the hunters and/or teams were only told abouti the extraction point last minute. Maybe the escapees knew first, so they weren't too far away. I did expect them to be taken to a nice hotel for a celebrationery meal or glass of champagne.

I found the ending surprisingly tense and thought at least one person would be caught. I was shouting at the tv for the people to leave the rucksacks behind. I really enjoy d the series, and well done to the four people on outwitting the hunters.

BondJayneBond · 16/10/2015 23:06

Weren't the teams told about the extraction points a day or so before the deadline?

I was wondering if the extraction point was picked at the last minute to be within a reasonable distance for all the remaining contestants. It was practically next to two of them. They'd have had difficulty if the extraction point was up in the Scottish Highlands.
