Will anyone be watching tonight?

it looks great, but not sure if i will be able to sleep afterwards!

They definitely do all need to stop calling home.

I don't like the doctor, but not because of his tactics. It's because he clearly feels superior to a team of people he's never met and had the chance to get a read on. He's too confident that he's cleverer than they are. I'd be rooting for him if he showed some humility.

OddlyLogical · 17/09/2015 22:53

Stop making phone calls!
If you're somewhere safe - stay put.
That GP is an arrogant tosser.

SurlyCue · 17/09/2015 23:11

do they have to keep moving? i wondered why the two brothers moved from where they were before moving to Glasgow. they seemed pretty safe there, the team were away off on a wild goose chase in the other direction. if only they had resisted the phone call home they could have stayed. perhaps their host wanted them gone?

also, why don't they all lift their cash at once? seems madness to leave yourself dependent on cash machine access.

ElderlyKoreanLady · 17/09/2015 23:16

I didn't see the rules last week so not sure if they have to keep moving. It does seem silly. Once they've found somewhere safe they should stay put and avoid doing anything stupid.

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 18/09/2015 07:50

you can only take out a maximum amount of cash per day, generally around £250, so they couldn't take out the whole £450 in one go. But yes, several cashbacks in supermarkets woudl get round the cameras in cashpoints thing

SurlyCue · 18/09/2015 10:46

what i would do is ask a friend/family member to give me £450 cash and give them the card and pin number so I had all my cash and they could reimburse themselves from the account.

RebootYourEngine · 18/09/2015 11:01

Im starting to like this prog.

The brothers started off so well with the fake email. Why did they have to then ruin it by phoning home.

WhatALoadOfOldBollocks · 18/09/2015 15:54

*"Why do the families cooperate with the "hunters"?
"Hello can we come in?"
"No. Goodbye slam door"

I suspect the rules of the show are that people must behave how it would be in real life, so in RL the hunters would have search warrants so would legally be able to go in and search the homes. Then again if it was like RL the hunters probably would've got tracker dogs onto the GP when he double bluffed at the cottage. That could've got exciting! Grin

SurlyCue · 18/09/2015 17:48

you know I was thinking tracker dogs too!! would like to have seen his face if they'd produced a van full of dogs! Grin

Unacceptable · 18/09/2015 18:17

How come they all use cash machines anyway? I think as soon as you get that call you go into your local bank and withdraw the lot.
The Dr is coming across as a seriously arrogant knob which makes me want him to get caught sooner rather than later.

PermetsTu I know I'm over a week late to this but 'challenge Anneka' had me in stitches Grin

ProfYaffle · 18/09/2015 18:40

I wondered about the families co-operating as well. I understand they're trying to make it as like a proper police investigation as they can but suspects being interviewed can just 'no comment' can't they? I think that's what I'd do.

I also wondered whether those small cash machines you get in corner shops and the like have CCTV too.

RumAppleGinger · 18/09/2015 20:59

Yeah that's what I mean. If DH was on the run I'd let them in and agree to them searching the house (after I'd fannied them about for a while). My only words would be no comment and any technology he'd left behind would be stashed in the water tank in the loft.

Also no one seems to understand the concept of a burner phone. You used it once. That's it!

OddlyLogical · 18/09/2015 21:33

I thought about dogs to track that GP too!
I REALLY want him to get caught.

Pipbin · 18/09/2015 21:48

I liked the brothers and they managed to stay on the run for a long time. I loved that they just had a big network of people through their faith and family to stay with.

G1veMeStrength · 18/09/2015 23:02

Just watched 2nd episode on catch up.

I LOVE the office. Millions of shots of people looking at the white board. Nodding a lot. And a thousand and one ways to say the same thing 'I want this person found' Nod. 'this person is one I really want to find' Nodding. 'let's get this person found'. Nodding while holding a biro. Nodding on the phone. Looking at white board and nodding.

I do find it odd that the two women hunters are former undercover police. How? Former? They must have been in five minutes they are both so YOUNG.

I thought the GP stunt was good - he is making it good telly.

BrendaandEddie · 18/09/2015 23:16

i wonder if the rules with families is they have to cooperate as much as they would with RL police

that does need explaining tho

WhatALoadOfOldBollocks · 20/09/2015 10:51

"I do find it odd that the two women hunters are former undercover police. How? Former? They must have been in five minutes they are both so YOUNG."
My thoughts too. How long on the force could they have had?!Confused
I'd love to know far more about the people involved, both the hunted and the hunters, and also how they filmed it, what the rules are, etc.

mollyonthemove · 20/09/2015 11:00

My dh works for the police and reckons he knows exactly how to disappear. I have been especially nice to him lately...

SurlyCue · 20/09/2015 12:11

Grin molly! make him his favourite dinner every night, and as long as he isn't saying he knows exactly how to make a person disappear you're safe enough Wink

mollyonthemove · 20/09/2015 12:51

Good point..

BrendaandEddie · 20/09/2015 13:19

this is a great article

Baconyum · 24/09/2015 22:44

Watching tonight. I don't remember the Midlands guys. I actually like Ricky and hope he succeeds. I think it says a lot about the kind of person he must be in real life that his friends are so supportive even when a cash reward is offered and his pal happy to drive him to edinburgh from fort william.

How they hell are Emily and Lauren (?) Still free? Maybe so chaotic its impossible to predict where they might be?

Who is still being hunted? Why does Ricky not have a partner when everyone else seems to?

Baconyum · 24/09/2015 22:58

Totally bummed Ricky caught!

Oldraver · 24/09/2015 23:09

I actually think this is a set up but......say it is genuine members of the public who auditioned for the show

You would know it was happening and h ad discussed it with your family....so why the fuck are you whining ...I really miss my girlfriend... and are on the phone to them within 24 hours. Surely you would suss you woyuld have to go totally incommunicado with family

Emily is irritating how her friend put sup with her

TheSpottedZebra · 24/09/2015 23:12

I can't believe that Emily dumped Lauren, after banging on about how close they were, how they were recreating heir childhoods... She seems v unstable.
