Corrie Thread - you know it is bad when the best storyline is about a dog

Time to start a new thread. Hopefully by the time this one has finished there will have been a terrible disaster and half the current cast will have disappeared.

At least Jazz-hands-Andrea is on her way out. I'd be grateful if she would take a coach-load with her.

Yes, that's what I thought. Apparently she's signed a contract to at least May 2016.

southeastdweller · 06/09/2015 08:39

The first time I felt the story was in any way 'real' was when Roy told Cathy

I agree - that was the only highlight of this weeks episodes and the only meaningful moment in this story so far - because two very skilled and experienced actors were involved, as you said.

The trailer for the live episode strongly suggests the Callum/Platt story is coming to an end. I really hope so - it's gone on for far too long.

SymphonyofShadows · 06/09/2015 13:09

They have ruined Carla afaic, I just want that to be over. Whoever is nicking the Friends stories needs to stop right now.

Rachel0Greep · 06/09/2015 17:00

I think the live episode will be painful viewing, and not in the way the scriptwriters / producers may think... Painfully ludicrous, if the trailer is anything to go by. If it rids us of Callum, and means less of a part for Bethany and Sarah, I will drink champagne ( well...a glass of bubbles anyway) to celebrate. Wink

Completely agree re Carla, she is definitely one of my top favourites and they are ruining her character. Why not just have her leave because of feeling bad, thinking she is responsible for the fire, without this drawn out nonsense of gambling. Just let Tracy be found out, and leave Carla alone!

eddiemairswife · 06/09/2015 17:33

Where is Luke? I thought he worked at the garage in which case he could have minded it instead of Tim. And what was the outcome of Kev's fabulous business deal? Has Kev taken over another garage or just had the work transferred to his? Either way business is very slack. Or has the whole thing been forgotten about?

theliverpoolone · 06/09/2015 18:59

I'd definitely forgotten about it, Eddie! And about Luke too....
I really hope that kiss between Sally and Kevin has been forgotten about and doesn't suddenly come to light on their wedding day .

The kiss is going to come to light, I'm afraid Sad

AnguaResurgam · 07/09/2015 06:59

"Or has the whole thing been forgotten about?"

Along with Anna and Faye?

Several other characters not seen for a while either.

I miss the days when nearly everyone was in nearly every episode and storylines were slow-growing and multifaceted.

AsTimeGoesBy · 07/09/2015 07:04

I missed a couple of weeks on holiday, started watching again last week and have just realised not a word's been said about Jason, last I saw he was lying unconscious after a beating by Callum's cronies with Max watching. What happened next?

mellowheart · 07/09/2015 07:04

1944girl yes we always laugh at the garage that does no work. Also at the factory's lack of any activity, all you see is someone holding up a pair of flimsy knickers now and then.

southeastdweller · 07/09/2015 07:18

Six episodes again this week. Totally unnecessary.

Rachel0Greep · 07/09/2015 08:19

I always laugh about Kev and Tyrone in that garage.Kev in his always spotless overalls and Tyrone with the upper part of his always tied round his waist. Then they shut up shop for an hour to spend their lunchbreak in the pub drinking beer before returning to supposedly work on cars.

And of course, numerous breaks to have a brew, and a chat, or people dropping in looking for advice on their latest drama Grin.

HirplesWithHaggis · 07/09/2015 15:42

Jason is still in hospital but has woken up. Drs are hopeful he'll make a full recovery but are unwilling to commit themselves to that prognosis.

MrsUltracrepidarian · 07/09/2015 17:29

Fed up with all the storylines revolving around rubbish child actorschildren - Bethany/Simon/Faye/Hohhhpe/Max/Amy.
Nostalgic for the days when eg Tracey-luv would disappear upstairs with her tapes for 5 years.
( hypocritically making an exception for Craig who is lovely Grin)

AnneEyhtMeyer · 07/09/2015 20:32

Tracy's confession is totally out of character. It would have been more believable if she'd pushed Carla over the edge.

EachandEveryone · 07/09/2015 20:41

How does Carla always look so immaculate? Do you think that hair colour would suit anyone?

PunkrockerGirl · 07/09/2015 20:50

I know, Each

I'd look rough as a badger's arse if I'd had that much to drink.

eddiemairswife · 07/09/2015 21:58

I saw the trailer for the live episode. Couldn't work out where they were at the end of it, or was that sheer drop supposed to ge symbolic?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 08/09/2015 06:47

I even miss Dev at the moment !

squoosh · 08/09/2015 12:24

Tracy's hair!

It looks so limp and lank at the moment, would someone please stage an intervention and cut about 6 inches off the end?

Thank you.

brittanyfairies · 08/09/2015 13:15

I'm so glad you lot are thinking the same as me when you're watching these episodes, I was thinking I was quite shallow when I was looking at Tracy luv's hair. Too much Argan oil I think - it makes it look really greasy.

I was also thinking how beautiful Carla was, she's just so very stunning, I have eyebrow envy. I'd love to have her wardrobe, but sadly only have Primarni money. I noticed she was in flat shoes today.

Everything else is just boring, Simon's scowly face is rubbish. I do like Amy though, she makes me laugh.

mellowheart · 08/09/2015 13:58

Agree about Simon, I can hardly bear to watch him. Don't agree about Amy I'm afraid. I think she's creepy. She seems so cunning, the way she does those long calculating stares.

eddiemairswife · 08/09/2015 14:57

Can't work out the sequence of events with Simon. Was he meant to have stayed the night at his friend's house? When did he get into Amy's wardrobe? I feel as if I missed some vital scene. I'm going to have to re-watch aren't I?

elbowsdontsing2 · 08/09/2015 16:18

eddie dont torture yourself by watching it again ill fill you in. you didnt miss any scenes , simon just appeared in the wardrobe abit like the lion the witch and the wardrobe
