Hi jen good to see you again. Are your lot back at school already?

Onlygirljen · 14/08/2015 19:52

Hi nick, yep eldest went back yesterday! Littlest doesn't get to start nursery till after his birthday next month though. Hope you're all set for hols! Smile

KellyHb · 14/08/2015 20:22

Evening all. Nice to see you on here again Jen.

I saw that photo this morning and IMO definately isn't BA. Comparing those legs and arms to those in the festival thing, I would say he would have had to have a lost a hell of a lot of weight for it to be him in a week or so. I think its just another English actor. BA hasn't started following Rachel Skarsten yet on Twitter either which is interesting and he normally follows people he works with. Maybe they've not had many filming scenes together yet.

Nickel45 · 14/08/2015 20:35

That seems really early jen, but didn't yours finish a lot earlier too? I hope that means you get to take advantage of cheaper holidays before the prices all sky rocket for the "summer"! Talking of which, where is the summer?!?!

I am all packed and ready, barring the last things which can't be packed till the morning. DH on the other hand hasn't started his packing ... I pack for me and the kids and he does his own (so much easier, so that when he has forgotten anything it can't be my fault!!). I suggested we leave between 7 and 8 tomorrow - he thought I was joking!!

Richtea19 · 14/08/2015 20:45

Lovely to have you back jen, I can't comment on pictures as I'm in on the mobile site and can't get pics!?.

pixie I feel your pain with the in laws. MIL picking us up tomorrow from the airport, and I am sure she will be flashing her tan lines to me (even though we are the ones that have been away) she has this horrid habit of lifting her top and flashing us her boobs! Gross(even though she's had a boob job!)

pixie if it were me I would be pissed before they arrived!

Last night of hols and we are holed up in a sports bar (with wifi hooray) watching ManU! I really know how to live!

KellyHb · 14/08/2015 20:51

Hope you have a lovely holiday nickel. Its so exciting hearing people going away on holiday. Anyone would think I was going with you Smile

You should have seen how busy Clarks shoe shop today with everyone buying school shoes. The wait must've been a good few hours at least.
Had to buy 3 pairs of school ones for the first time. Plus some wonder web as the boys school trousers are really long in the leg. Never used it before so see how I go.

Had a traumatic time shopping with DH. DH hates shopping! We decided to be clever and not take the boys in the pushchair hence lots of the boys being naughty and lying on the floor. DH went to the car for the pushchair but we ended up losing each other and after finding each other again, on the way back to the car, having an argument with me doing most of the shouting! A young couple were watching us and DH gave them puppy dog eyes as if to say "poor me putting up with this grief" when he can more often than not hold his own. Cheeky bugger!

KellyHb · 14/08/2015 20:57

Would it cheer you up pix to know that I've signed up to that writing course too?

pixieg1rl · 14/08/2015 21:11

Yay Kelly!

DS refusing to sleep, so at least being stuck upstairs with him means I'm not expected downstairs to watch the slide show of their France holiday (I kid you not)

Wow Richtea your MIL sounds horrific. Mind you if I had new boobs I'd be tempted to flash them, just not to family

Nickel45 · 14/08/2015 21:32

That's brill kel ... if you ever want to try out any stories on anyone, just let me know Wink :)

pix aren't kids brilliant :) Mine are still awake, but being quiet under the threat of no ice cream for the whole week if I have to go in and pick up the quilt they have just kicked onto the floor yet again (to yell's of "I'm cold" ... well stop kicking the flippin' quilt onto the floor then!!).

kel you are so mad brave taking all of yours shopping - and actually getting shoes ... nice one :)

Safe journey home tomorrow richtea x

KellyHb · 14/08/2015 21:34

Slideshows pix?? I remember my Mam and Dads friends had a projector in the 1990's and the clink clink noise it made in a quiet room was the most annoying thing ever.

When I got home this afternoon, Royal Mail put a card through my door saying that they had tried to deliver a parcel but it was too big for my letterbox. I'm not expecting anything. I'm imagining that before BA went to France with ilove, he made a detailed plaster cast of his meat and two veg as he heard of my dedication to OG by watching it up until 2:00 the other morning. Cant wait to go in the morning to collect it. Grin

Richtea19 · 14/08/2015 21:37

pixie MIL stories are horrific! She is SO "in your face" east End born and bread and really brash! I have to take deep breaths and a double G&at, for years I said it was sparking water!

pixieg1rl · 14/08/2015 21:43

I've watched nearly all their home videos of the holiday now and replaced DS's duvet twice.

More wine please WineWineWineWineWine

KellyHb · 14/08/2015 21:46

Thanks nickel. Smile

Honestly nickel at Clarks, it was like the world was ending, it was so manic. The money that company makes, must be mind boggling especially as the shoes aren't that cheap.

Nickel45 · 14/08/2015 21:52

Do you belong to TAMBA - is that what it's called? I think you can get a discount at Clarks (and lots of other places) through them?

KellyHb · 14/08/2015 22:01

Yeah nickel , I have but when I looked into it, the membership was just as much as the shoes I would be buying. That was a couple of years ago tbh and haven't really looked since.

Nickel45 · 14/08/2015 22:08

That's a bit silly of them, you'd think they'd make it a really good deal. I've still got to go and get mine, but my DS is growing so quickly at the mo he will probably grow out of them before term starts! He is in the same size socks as me now ... and he's only 8!!!!

KellyHb · 14/08/2015 22:12

Ah, taking an 8 year old shoe shopping instead of my three sounds great.
The amount of pity looks and (glad I'm not her looks) from people when you're trying to deal with mine when you're out and about gets rather tedious.

Richtea19 · 14/08/2015 22:13

Crap, completely forgot about shoes! I've done the uniform for little DS and suits for big one, but not shoes. Big one will go off and do his own (at my expense) but I will need to do Clarks for little one. Sometimes the outlets are good, but a bit hot or miss.

pixie you will be so proud one, I've managed a litre bottle of gin whilst away and that's just drinking in the villa not out. The only problem I have is I might not fit in the aeroplane seat. Bring on boot camp when I'm home.

Dizzydots · 14/08/2015 22:18

No, really hope not ice, way too skinny Confused

Holiday pic slideshows, remember the torture well, only to be replaced by holiday pic videos, just as boring but at least with a fast forward button . Wine is definitely the only way to go pixie, take a bottle or two outside and watch for meteors :)

Ilovelblue · 14/08/2015 22:22

Good to have you back Jen!

CJ caused a sensation up at Montmartre tonight. The place was heaving with Japanese and all wanted his photo. It reminded me of our time in Edinburgh. He played to his audience there too.

By the way, it's p*ing down here.

Enjoy your hols pixie and Nickel!!

KellyHb · 14/08/2015 22:29

Randomly dizzy I've tweeted the actress who took that pic of the guy and asked who it was. See if she replies. As my gran would say "Shy bairns get nowt". Smile

Dizzydots · 14/08/2015 22:45

Good work kelly , love a bit of getting to the bottom of things Grin Not sure where you guys get these pics etc from but 100% rely on this thread for uptodate intel :) And btw SO glad there's a new bunker ice, where would we be without your dedication.

Rhubarb01 · 14/08/2015 22:48

You lot are making me feel horribly disorganised. I've still got to get uniform and shoes. We used to get a discount from Clarks using TAMBA membership and they let me have the discount of my older daughter's shoes too a few times. You've got to be a bit canny if you're going to Clarks round here and get here as soon as they open or you'll be there for an hour or more. You'd think some other company would have a go at the quality kids school shoes market wouldn't you? There is Start-Rite but you don't find them in many places now except John Lewis as far as I know. Surprised Richard Branson hasn't tried it yet - he does everything else.

pixieg1rl · 14/08/2015 23:12

My sister in law is from the States and cannot understand why the Brits are so obsessed with Clarks. She thinks it's brain washing.

I sorted uniform out a month or so ago and I'm waiting until the last minute to do shoes.

KellyHb · 14/08/2015 23:12

I wouldn't worry rhu you'll all have your uniforms sorted while I'll be spending days trying to get this wonder web stuff to work. Pinning trouser bottoms etc is not my speciality.
