Where you off to in Cornwall pix, I'm taking the kids down for a couple of days, staying in Wadebridge till Tuesday .... if you are anywhere near there, fancy a bottle of something? Wink

cjwoofwoof · 13/08/2015 12:38

I feel your pain pix - in 18 years my DH has only taken one week off work to look after our kids, when eldest DS had chicken pox when he was 2 and was sent home from nursery and I couldn't take any more time off work. They live in their own little cocoon and cannot cope with any changes to their usual routine, whereas we're juggling balls in the air whilst performing a fandango, pegging out the washing and still manage to cook the tea and change the nappies Angry

pixieg1rl · 13/08/2015 12:43

Looe, Nickel, so the other side of Cornwall, unless we meet in Bodmin

cjwoofwoof · 13/08/2015 13:40

I'm in the mood for more lego man (sorry orph but having a bad day). Oo-er now you're talking.

Call me old fashioned but I do enjoy big heads...

woof seriously I'm booking you in for another 12 months of block head aversion therapy. I think the heady cocktail of steroids and banned substances we took during our gymnastics days has affected your judgement.

orphan · 13/08/2015 14:02

pixie yep, the cost will no doubt turn me even greyer than I am. Both his dad and I went to London though and I think I stupidly made too much about what a great time we'd had. He's deferring anyway so can blooming try and save some money up for it.

icemist he's going to do engineering design but I can't say he's passionate about it. Passionate about bands, guitar and alcohol, yes.

cjwoofwoof · 13/08/2015 14:06

Nothing wrong with my judgement faced with those open leather trousers orph - I know exactly what decision I'd make, and poor Manu probably wouldn't escape without severe bruising, just like poor dear Ian after you'd overdone the cooking sherry in your coq au vin Easter banquet in 1977.

cjwoofwoof · 13/08/2015 14:11

Ah yes, orph don't you remember how we laughed about it years afterwards, when we reminisced about which coq you'd accidentally and drunkenly stewed? Admittedly it had taken poor dear Ian that many years before the bandaging could be removed, but he did titter...eventually.

Woof's latest crush...

They sound pretty good results to me woof but I'm no expert on things like that. What was he hoping for?

Yes, he's a pretty good DH for taking the kids away pix nickel but he's not going to be happy at all when I inform him when he gets back that I'm going to get a tattoo on my wrist!! Shock It would be my first one. He hates tattoos but I've wanted one for a while and you only live once so I'll get one by the end of the year. It'll only be a small one.

Richtea19 · 13/08/2015 15:03

woof sound like good results to me. I've been getting updates from friends kids and it's all about the same. These days to get an A* in an A level you've got to be a genius.

On the subject of DH helping out.... MrRTea is rubbish. He is brilliant at having fun with kids but cant multi task, tidy up etc. I can't ever remember him having time off work when needed at home. He would just call his mother which would then create more problems for me!!! Grrrr.

cjwoofwoof · 13/08/2015 15:06

I have to say pix I'm finding Lego Man quite attractive and his hat definitely reminds me uncannily of Manly Manu. Is there a leather trouser attachment with realistic open fly rather than the hi viz button through boiler suit? Then I can compare the two more equally...

cjwoofwoof · 13/08/2015 15:17

Hmmm thanks for the input Rich and Kel but C C D doesn't feel like a successful 2 years of study to me at the moment, especially when he was predicted Bs and an A in PE during the first year. kel I think his hopes were to scrape through by the seat of his pants, so actually he's feeling quite chuffed with himself, and is busy preparing to go out tonight with mates for many a couple of sherbets to celebrate. DH defo not happy when I phoned with the news so not looking forward to later tonight when he gets in and says DS can't go out. There could be fireworks, hence my need for Manu in his leather trousers as a diversionary thought.

On the plus side, nobody's died and my DS has never been inclined to take the Uni route so the grades aren't as important to him as they are to others trying to secure their place. He's done far better than I ever did at school although I've never told him that and at least he won't be saddled with £50K of debt after three years of yet more laziness with no guarantee he'd achieve degree success

Ilovelblue · 13/08/2015 15:47

There you are. I was panicking and couldn't work out how to save this from the FB link but got there in the end.

Went to a little town called Vienne earlier and as we left to come back into Lyon on the train, you could see the black clouds gathering. Raining quite hard now and French people are running round like headless chickens. Not as stoic as we Brits. My friend has gone out again shopping. Sometimes I think that's her only interest! I'm catching upon here meanwhile.

Enjoy your hols pixie and Nickel snd big sigh of relief to those wjo were waiting for A level results.

Richtea19 · 13/08/2015 18:02

woof I have similar worries with DS, his so bloody casual, not worried about results. He got U and E and DS in mocks. He was shocked and put a bit more "bloody effort in" but I still don't think it's going to be good enough. DS has looked and applied for our local College :( but u suppose he has a back up plan if He can't do as level.

I feel your pain for tonight with DH and the family talk! Better have a G&T before it starts!

Had such a laugh today as we came across the nudist beach... Honestly! Blimey so many shapes and sizes! I could blush! We laughed so much especially the kids.

KellyHb · 13/08/2015 18:33

At last!!! Finally found some intel that sounds like Ben is doing Reign.

The lady writer of Reign tweeted and said 'Antoine and Louis Conde could return as I love Ben Aldridge and Sean Teale. Both brothers are cute and alive so who knows'.

I take that as a yes. BA better get over to the UK and to that do in London by the end of Sept so I can get his autograph. Smile

orphan · 13/08/2015 19:14

pixie I'm afraid Lego land is yet another enforced no go area for woof after she was caught in a state of high excitement in the model village.

What's your tat going to be kelly? Are you going cryptic and just having a bowl of coco pops?

Ah nudist beaches richtea... I have fond memories of jumping the waves with my ds when he was 5, next to a couple of amply bosomed ladies in the nude (them not me).

orphan · 13/08/2015 19:14

Well I am amply bosomed but I wasn't nude.

pixieg1rl · 13/08/2015 20:23

Considering how wet I got watching the pirate stunt show at Legoland orphan, it's probably best that woof's restraining order still covers the greater Windsor area....

cjwoofwoof · 13/08/2015 21:41

Hmm I never did agree with that Court Order as usually I stay well away from anything miniature, but those square heads are just so damned attractive! It's rather fun being forcefully escorted out by security when I fancy another soaking from Pirate Pete though pix

cjwoofwoof · 13/08/2015 21:45

Woohoo plenty of ff to catch up on - it's been a long night. DS has gone out on the lash anyway, leaving me and DH doing all the arguing - how did that happen?? Confused

pixieg1rl · 13/08/2015 22:05

I'm just getting drunk in front of Who do you think you are.

Do you fancy Paul Hollywood woof? He's rather block headed and could knead your baps for hours without getting tired.

cjwoofwoof · 13/08/2015 22:11

No pix even I draw the line at wife deserters...in fact I'd like Manu to punch PH right in his dough balls if it were possible

Nickel45 · 13/08/2015 22:34

Bother, silly TV didn't record WDYTYA .... was it any good? I'm just watching Goodnight Sweetheart (yes, I know!) but Ralph Ineson is on it ... .LOVE his voice!

KellyHb · 13/08/2015 22:42

Had to nip to Asda tonight for a couple of essentials. No nice looking fruit and veg men tonight but then there's never much talent in our branch. (Apart from that Saturday a while ago).

Not sure about tattoo design orph. I could devote myself to the CJ cause and get his face blowing me a kiss or get one of him asking me if I've missed him, all in combats of course. It could cost a few bob having a detailed CJ done but it'll be worth it. Or I could chicken out and get a flowery one done.

DH isn't happy about the idea but tough titties. They all came home quite tanned. Think they've been outside a lot going to parks etc down south.
