Watching Who do you think you are? Jane Seymour's big fluffy hat is making me think of orph

MaddieMoo82 · 20/08/2015 21:31

Ah thanks all! Feeling very welcomed. And the threads dis make me laugh a lot so much so that DS fell off the boob a few times!

According to google I live 35 miles from BAs childhood home of Exeter, and after one particularly awful hormone/sleep deprived row with DP I was sorely tempted to jump in the car with DS drive to Exeter and search for BAs childhood home. From them I planned to camp on the doorstep until his parents got him to come down to meet me where he would instantly fall in love with me and leaky massive boobs. Luckily/unluckily for him I saw sense and stayed at home!

And yes boobs are huge and down to my knees as they spend most of their time not in a bra..... My lovely old neighbour Barry is the only one apart DS who enjoys it!

cjwoofwoof · 20/08/2015 21:32

Hope you syllabubs were succulent enough pix as AT is usually very particular in the moisture department

Nickel45 · 20/08/2015 21:33

Sound like you'll fit right in here then mads :)

Onlygirljen · 20/08/2015 21:36

Hi Maddie! Smile Lovely to have somebody new, hope the sleepless nights aren't too brutal..

Onlygirljen · 20/08/2015 21:38

Oh my word, read this in the guardian earlier and thought I'd better share with you lot - and I thought it couldn't get worse than alka seltzers...could be worse I suppose action man maybe Shock

KellyHb · 20/08/2015 21:39

That idea sounds like something I would think of too Maddie. Find out when BA's at home and accidentally on purpose bump into him one day. Wink

KellyHb · 20/08/2015 21:44

Great story Jen. OMG that is crazy! I hope it didn't have sharp teeth - ouch. Confused

Dizzydots · 20/08/2015 22:04

Evening, just home from an impromptu supper out with friends and too much rose we know how to live and the first thing I see is something about someone falling off a boob. Naturally my attention was instantly grabbed - hello Maddie, welcome to saggy boobland, lovely to meet you :) Now then ice and kel too many snippets in my BA deprived world, where is he, which actress, what part, whose tweet, which festival, where is it, when, are there any tickets left? etc etc etc. Feel a sudden desperate wine fuelled need for more Intel.
Sorry about your ds's disappointment rich but was also my experience that the current school is most likely to be flexible and loyal. I'm with you pix a long time ago for me but I found each change difficult to take. The thought was always worse than the reality. Brighter things to come.
Sorry for rose ramblings.

pixieg1rl · 20/08/2015 22:07

At least you have hormones and sleep deprivation as your excuse defence maddie, Kelly would do that on half a glass of cider!

rinses off plastic t-rex whilst whistling innocently

orphan · 20/08/2015 22:18

Welcome to the asylum thread maddie. I'm glad you've read through some of the past threads and signed the insanity disclaimer so you know exactly what you're getting yourself into. A word of warning though: woof is literally unhinged. She lowers her flaps for ... well, the list is too long to mention.

orphan · 20/08/2015 22:24

This thread really is educational though isn't it? Thomas the Tank, Hogwarts depravity, alka seltzers and now dinosaurs. I feel like I led such a sheltered life previously.

orphan · 20/08/2015 22:29

Oh and pixie yes, the clippings from my ladygarden are donated to a charity that makes Russian style hats for impoverished beavers.

BK28 · 20/08/2015 22:33

Hi ilove not AWOL just trapped into r/l but was watching, but didn't feel had much to contribute! If poss CJ for the canal trip from Sunday.. Would save me back on the old lock gates!!??

Well done for all those results...as a careers adviser in r/l have been a bit busy mopping up disasters!

Welcome Maddie to the bonkers alternative universe that is ,subject to passswords, mn! If tired or down loosing yourself with these wonderful mad women is a great tonic!

BK28 · 20/08/2015 22:38

jen that story brought tears to my eyes!! I suppose it saves on the extra expense of adult toys!!!Shock

MaddieMoo82 · 20/08/2015 22:58

Yeah kelly I'm worried I'll still end up in Exeter searching for BAs parents. It's a bit too close a place not to go and have a look :-)

jen thanks the night feeds are getting better every 3 hrs now instead every hour which made me feel like putting my head in the oven!

amazing article.... No dinosaurs here just Sophie the giraffe teether.... Not sure it will have the same effect. Also I work in the medical side and it's amazing what random things people will place in their nether regions and the reasons why....

KellyHb · 20/08/2015 23:06

Unfortunately pix you've got me there but I prosecco is quite literally the equivalent of absinthe in my system. 2 glasses drank and I was tweeting TG requests for what sort of bedroom scene I want for CJ and Molly. Confused

Sounds you like you had a good evening dizzy. Just I think a couple of BAs friends are at a festival this weekend and if he's in the country, maybe he's going.

Interesting comment about the part BA went for if the actress said 'good job they're not going for the same part'. Maybe with his luscious Canadian tan, he's making either sex jealous of his good looks.

orphan · 20/08/2015 23:10

Ooh do tell more maddie professionalism be damned. I expect you've already met woof then...Grin

MaddieMoo82 · 20/08/2015 23:14

Haha I shan't name names ;-) ooh all sort of household objects and containers....men and women :-)

cjwoofwoof · 20/08/2015 23:16

Yay BK and apsara have come back to us - welcome back!!

Dinosaurs are a mere trifle where orphs concerned. You should see what she can do with a double egg cup, an old Stretch Armstrong and last week's copy of People's Friend - it'd make your hair curl maddiemoo

Ilovelblue · 20/08/2015 23:55

Evening all. I'm extremely late to the party tonight. I was out to visit my ex-RAF friend who hasn't been well and I was home much later than anticipated.

CJ dithered as to whether he was going to come with me or not, especially when he realised ex-RAF man was of a higher equivalent rank than he is, but he did eventually come along (after a bit of a sulk, we know he's good at sulking) and as it turned out, they had some people in common as RAF friend had been seconded to NATO a good few years ago and they found they both knew the same folk.

BK he's all yours. I've told him he's on lock keeping duties as of Sunday. He remembers you as the woman with all the different cars and is pretty excited!

Ilovelblue · 21/08/2015 00:03

Maddie welcome to the madness that is OG and CJ. If you've been lurking for some time, you'll know our conversations often go off at a tangent, but always remain interesting! Like woof, I am at the opposite end of the hormonal spectrum. In fact, I told my boss, who is having a midlife crisis and went out to buy a 3 litre Audi A5 (or A6, not sure) that his hormones say "buy a car" and mine are just intent on giving me hot flushes half the day!

Not sure if anyone was listening to Radio 2 around lunchtime today. Vanessa Feltz was standing in for Jeremy Vine and one of her topics was around the MN hacking. To be honest, I wasn't listening at first as I was busy changing the bed but when Vanessa said "So the lesson here is if you want to pick somebody's brains about childcare, talk to them face to face!" Does she not realise the depth of our discussions on here? Where else would we have acquired new IT skills, been introduced to ff, fallen in love with a fictional character who has toured most of mainland Britain with us and even been abroad with us and built up a whole new network of online friends? Not to mention the fact that some of us have actually met up in RL too?

Ilovelblue · 21/08/2015 07:57

Morning all. Not often I'm first to post, especially after my late night last night.

Off to Harlow Carr gardens near Harrogate today. orphan was it you who had been there? It's my nearest RHS garden, even though it's some 60 odd miles away. Usually go once a year in June but the weather put paid to our planned trip then so making the best use of my last day off work before back to the grind on Monday.

In my CJ world, he is also coming along with us but instead of doing a tour of the gardens, he's arranged to meet some old pals from Catterick. They are coming to collect him so whether they will turn up in an army tank, jeep or ordinary car remains to be seen.

Have a good day everyone!

Richtea19 · 21/08/2015 08:01

Morning, have a lovely day ilove the weather looks good for you and CJ.

Interviews today at DS current school and one other. So fingers crossed for happy outcome. I can't stand the uncertainty.

Dizzydots · 21/08/2015 08:08

Have a good day ilove and don't be tempted to divert to Catterick! Hope you get a happy outcome today rich
