Even Jake Wood thought it was a ridiculous story line - I caught part of a interview with him on the R1 breakfast show this morning. However, he said he did look into it and it seems people do abscond from court.

Maybe it was a bit ridiculous but I'm glad that they tried something new and unexpected. Good to see EE experimenting with storylines, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Better than the same-old, same-old. I do think that this storyline is going to go quiet now as Kathy returns, Dean & Roxy, Ben & Coker's son take more centre stage. Until Jake Wood is ready to return and then it'll start all over again.

I don't think he's going to get caught. I think this is his break. Then sometime over the next year it will be pinned on someone else so he can return or the truth will come out (one can bloody hope!) And Max can return fully vindicated, never to speak to his brat of a daughter (Abi) again for totally stitching him up.
