Ooh. Just read a theory on DS that Phil might have bribed the juror to find Max guilty so as to keep Ben and Jay out of it. That would be interesting.

southeastdweller · 28/09/2015 21:43

If he gets away then he'll have to come back to Walford when Jake Wood returns from his sabbatical next autumn which would mean lots of long prison time for Max...I'm thinking he'll get caught tomorrow.

LineyReborn · 28/09/2015 21:43

Aah...

Mrsjayy · 28/09/2015 21:44

Oh he did a runner he isnt going to get far is he court full of police and stuff.

Redcrayons · 28/09/2015 21:48

He'll move into Arthur's shed at the allotment with Cora.

LineyReborn · 28/09/2015 21:51

Yes, to the shed with him.

Mrsjayy · 28/09/2015 22:13

Budge up cora Grin

nancy75 · 28/09/2015 22:36

Blimey, just watched on catch up - that was ridiculous!

Has nobody on Eastenders heard of research? if it was that easy to get away from a guilty verdict we would have a lot of empty prisons

Mrsjayy · 29/09/2015 08:10

Phil had to have gone for a guilty verdict max means nothing to him and he fleeced him probably a bit of revenge how long has this bloody story been running seems years

Fakebook · 29/09/2015 09:41

I think he told him to give guilty verdict too. Like Sharon was saying to Jane, it would be better for everyone in their family if he was sent down for it. Phil doesn't give two shits about Max.

But this running away business...honestly. If he manages to do a runner today I'll be pretty pissed off. He has no money, no assets...no clothes. Where is he going to go? And why haven't any of Jack's bent copper friends helped him through this? I remember he used to start punching in numbers into his phone every time something minute happened to their family concerning the law. It's all unbelievable bullshit. "it's just a soap...it's just a soap.." Grin

Even Jake Wood thought it was a ridiculous story line - I caught part of a interview with him on the R1 breakfast show this morning. However, he said he did look into it and it seems people do abscond from court.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 29/09/2015 10:35

Wouldn't it have been easier all round if Jane said "I saw Nick cotton do it."

LovelyFriend · 29/09/2015 10:43

What I find most unbelievable is Phil having the power and means to buy jury verdict in a murder trial. As if!

Its laughable. Grin

Almost as laughable as Max's break for freedom.

gingercat02 · 29/09/2015 11:15

FFS. I'm very close to giving up on this. It's been shit since live week and does anyone care about Lucy anymore. To mis quote an old bridezilla thread are the writters all on glue Sad

Pyjamaramadrama · 29/09/2015 11:46

I've just seen last nights I laughed at Max's escape.

Mrsjayy · 29/09/2015 13:02

Jake wood was on this morning he looked mortified about the whole sorry storyline,

SheHasAWildHeart · 29/09/2015 14:06

Maybe it was a bit ridiculous but I'm glad that they tried something new and unexpected. Good to see EE experimenting with storylines, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Better than the same-old, same-old. I do think that this storyline is going to go quiet now as Kathy returns, Dean & Roxy, Ben & Coker's son take more centre stage. Until Jake Wood is ready to return and then it'll start all over again.

Max will probably be picked up by Jack.

CrapBag · 29/09/2015 14:20

I've read on DS that Max's runner is based on a true story that the writer read about! Wtf!

I don't think he's going to get caught. I think this is his break. Then sometime over the next year it will be pinned on someone else so he can return or the truth will come out (one can bloody hope!) And Max can return fully vindicated, never to speak to his brat of a daughter (Abi) again for totally stitching him up.

CrapBag · 29/09/2015 14:21

Oh there's another storyline next week that has me pissing myself as I read about it. Ok it's not lighthearted but a change from more doom and gloom.

SheHasAWildHeart · 29/09/2015 14:25

I want Robbie to stay and Sonia to leave.

SheHasAWildHeart · 29/09/2015 14:26

CrapBag I've seen that storyline on DS and was like 'whaaaaaaaat?!'

Jasonandyawegunorts · 29/09/2015 14:33

I want Robbie to stay and Sonia to leave.

I've got sonias next 6 months of script notes here, it just says:

"Adlib something nice, then act shocked and shout at them, then be nice again, 3 or 4 times an episode."

CrapBag · 29/09/2015 14:37

Does it also say "wear something really frumpy that no early 30s person would be seen dead in?" She has terrible dress sense, as does Tina but at least Tina is sticking with her sort of wacky 'style', Sonia just looks dreadful and is a moody cow who just lectures everyone.

Agree wish she was going.

I know wild. As if!
