Can someone please explain the Cucumber thing to me?

The cucumber thing: when Quinn found/was shot by Carrie and took her to his German hidey place he had a table featuring a sharp knife, other stuff and a cucumber.

Which to me (living in Germany) was just a normal 'stuff Germans eat' but somehow took on a life of its own on this thread

I have finally caught up and binged watched 3 episodes last night damn you sickness bug I haven't RTFT since I last posted after ep 2 due to seeing the title change so anything I say will no doubt have been said before upthread:

• Allison is a double agent and "owes" someone from the time she was stationed in Eastern Europe. Either that or Ivan is her husband random, I know
• Dar and Saul know what Allison is up to and are setting her up
• Etai, Saul and Dar all belong to some wizened old spies club
• Quinn was either looking for an old burger in the bin or was trying to hide/dispose of himself.
• The stranger with Quinn will end up saving him and restore his faith in humanity (and he will be a Muslim so he'll change his mind about wanting to kill all Muslims)
• I'm not sure why Allison is trying to kill Carrie?
• Hot boyfriend is still hot
• Journo is still annoying

I'm sure I've missed loads.

I reckon Dar and Saul must be setting Allison up, because they both knew that Allison tried to double cross Saul by asking Dar to sack him.

So how can it go from Saul shouting her down telling her he knew about her little snidey attempt, to him shagging her and trusting her? Surely he's not that stupid.

And Dar certainly isn't stupid and presumably not shagging her so he knows she tried to shaft Saul too.

I would have done, if I wasn't shouting at the TV. Whenever she said "I'm doing my best to get back to you" and Quinn would correct her saying "You're supposed to be dead, you can't say you'll get back to her"..

I was thinking, well of course she's not dead. She's recording a video. Surely her 'death' came after the video, so she could say whatever she liked...?! Or did I miss something?

Yeah it really wound me up.

"I'm doing everything I can..." Doooh I can't say I'm doing everything because when you see this video you'll know I'm talking in present tense and therefore I'm not dead.

"I did everything I could... but I'm dead now"... There that should do it!

Saul was already sleeping with Hair before the shouting and only shouted because felt betrayed - their bedroom scene showed that they were very comfortable around one another. In the end he forgave her because he probably would have done the same thing if roles were reversed - he did say "she misplayed."

Saul and Dar are clueless about her, I reckon. If they had even an inkling, there is no way that Saul would have taken to Switzerland. Carrie is going to be the one who uncovers it all.

Was CreeperMan Jewish or Muslim? I thought he seemed more Israeli Jewish to me. I am sure that Quinn must have been followed this whole time as it's a bit too convenient that a randomer turns up at the right time - lazy writing if he is just some randomer.

Creeping Jesus deffo looked Israeli. So I suspect that he Israeli dimension will become more and more apparent as we progress. Maybe the Israeli forces have been tailing Quinn to make sure that he somehow does not meddle in the plot to kill the Syrians? I think that the Israelis were aware of the plot, not behind it, but still wanted it to proceed.

Gosh it seems odd thinking about pretend spies/terrorists after the horrors of the past few days.
