Here - scroll down a bit.

There's Quinn. There's Saul. There's the old bag-over-the-head routine. It's in Berlin. I am ridiculously excited.

Fiderer - I thought of Le Carre too. All we needed was a cutaway to Karla dressed as a workman crossing the checkpoint.

I think it was Saul too. But I suspect "Matheson" means "Save Carrie" not "Kill Carrie", because let's not forget that Saul is nothing if not Good.

Coco our time might be coming Grin

Cocolepew · 19/10/2015 20:48

We'll prove these disbelievers wrong yet, gypsy Wink

Lweji · 19/10/2015 21:31

My question is: if that's how they communicate the targets, how did Saul indicate more detailed info about the other targets? Just their surname as well? Odd.

ThursdayLastWeek · 19/10/2015 21:40

During the first episode Saul seemed to make it clear to Quinn that the way they would operate was would be different; all that, 'you're on your own now' stuff.

I think the system changed between the first episode and the second.

Lweji · 19/10/2015 22:14

After a fully comprehensive almost frame by frame of the scene, I'm fairly convinced it's not Saul. The man's face is not fully clear but seems different and has no glasses!
I just couldn't compare the gait within the same episode.

Duckdeamon · 20/10/2015 08:11

But if quinn doesnt fulfil his orders won't he go on the hit-list too?

I hope carrie has made good legal and financial arrangements for someone (her DSIS?) to care for frannie in the event of her death.

diddl · 20/10/2015 09:05

Anyone seen ep 3?

I want to ask something but can't remember if it was in 2 or 3!!

Will have to keep schtum!

Fiderer · 20/10/2015 09:11

If Saul & Quinn's messaging system has been compromised then by whom? Can't imagine many people in on it as Saul said it's off the book.

Plus - again - why not just shoot her? In the hotel room where the Hezbollah man came and told her she was the target. He got in, why couldn't a lone killer? Even baddy Ambassador got into her room to switch her meds in the station residence in Islamabad. A flat in Berlin would be an easy break-in.

Or kidnap her daughter and use her as bait? Kindergartens here don't have anything like the security in some countries.

Duckdeamon · 20/10/2015 09:17

No diddl, this thread is at UK pace!

KittyOShea · 20/10/2015 11:17

Diddl- I will have seen it tonight if you want to PM in the morning.

Irish pace is 5 days ahead of UK Grin

Another one here who couldn't see why Carrie couldn't get a job in M&S. She has this wild look in her eyes, though, that would stop me giving her a job in security. She looks like she'd head butt someone without a second thought.

I think her boyfriend is dodgy, too. Let's face it, she's never going to be attracted to someone straightforward, is she?

I think the reference to Angelina was to do with rich people coming in with a bunch of photographers for an hour and thinking they've solved problems for them. How egocentric was that billionaire? "They will only give me the money if I personally go..." What a load of rubbish. Loved his face when he heard those bangs in the distance.

LookAtMeGo · 20/10/2015 18:49

Am I the only one disappointed with the start of this series? This first few series were so exciting from the start. It's a bit too serious and I feel like I have to pay attention really closely Blush

ImperialBlether · 20/10/2015 19:22

Did the hacking make sense to people? Those two young men hacked into that site and put a video on. The CIA were also hacking into that site. So how come the young men could then see a load of CIA files? That doesn't make sense to me.

The question of how the files were compromised was 'dealt with' by someone asking how it had happened, given they were not meant to be on a computer that was connected to the internet. They were told 'when the computers were moved a cable was left behind.' That doesn't make sense!!! Leaving a cable behind wouldn't then mean that computer was connected to the internet!

LookAtMeGo · 20/10/2015 19:28

Exactly, imperial. A lot of the goings on leave me a bit Hmm

And makes me wonder if it's me being thick or the writers Confused. I think I will persevere for two more episodes and just stick to Scandal if it continues in this vein

Cocolepew · 20/10/2015 19:39

I find it more enjoyable if I don't think about it too hard Grin

Yes i feel the same. I did with the last season too. Its quite frustrating as I am always waiting for it to be great but it doesnt happen.

AmberFool · 20/10/2015 21:00

Me too Grin. But I am still trying to work out who wants Carrie dead so badly. I hope little miss brodie isn't used as a hostage/bargain to get at Carrie though.

Howaboutthisone · 20/10/2015 22:09

I like the theory that Quinn is being told that Carrie's in trouble. Maybe it's photos for kills and newspaper codes for saves?!
Quinn would never kill Carrie regardless.
I was so annoyed she decided to stay after the progress she's made with Franny.
I definitely think that the new love is going to be a baddie.
I like the station chief. More so after her confrontation with Saul. It was nice to see another female character with balls.

Roonerspism · 20/10/2015 23:07

Oooh, can I join please? Rather enjoying the new series, mainly because there are lots of Quinn close ups.

I agree that it's the well-dodge CIA woman who wants Carrie dead and Saul wants to save her and she is still working for Saul.

polentapies · 21/10/2015 09:57

Loving the new series.

Who was the woman Quinn assassinated in Series 2? Before he shot her, she recognised him and said 'Peter'. Was it the former CIA agent from Series 4(I think)? Also, didn't Peter have a relationship with the German intelligence officer who was interrogating the journalist?

polentapies · 21/10/2015 10:04

Sorry - was referring to Episode 2 not Series 2

SurlyCue · 21/10/2015 10:11

Not sure who the assasinated woman was but she said "bitte" which means please [dont kill me]

Yes i thought the german agent was the one from season 4 too!

polentapies · 21/10/2015 10:13

Ah thanks. Was surprised that noone had picked up on it. Duh

Fiderer · 21/10/2015 11:20

Quinn hid at her flat in Islamabad when he went off on his own mission.

Liked the way he asked her to go off with him. She obv has better control than Carrie (or I) by commenting that they couldn't do that in Berlin where her HQ is.

I prefer her to CIA Eowyn. Would happily have her pushed under a tram.
