Here - scroll down a bit.

There's Quinn. There's Saul. There's the old bag-over-the-head routine. It's in Berlin. I am ridiculously excited.

There's a job ad on the --> right for MI6 Intelligence Officer Grin

SurlyCue · 21/10/2015 12:09

Grin maybe carrie could relocate to the UK.

ImperialBlether · 21/10/2015 16:47

The woman who was recruiting the young girls met them in that little carpark outside the shop. She sent them off with a man and Quinn reported his car reg number. She then went into the shop. A woman came out dressed in black and was shot by him - was this the same woman? Had she changed in the shop? (Seems unlikely)

KittyOShea · 21/10/2015 16:50

Imperial I think she went to the public toilet rather than the shop and changed in there. It was definitely the same woman.

ImperialBlether · 21/10/2015 16:55

Oh okay; I was just thinking if she was a recruiter she'd be quite tough and wouldn't go down without a fight.

KittyOShea · 21/10/2015 17:04

Maybe she was distracted by Quinn's devilishly handsome face (and hoping he would take a shower). I know I would be Grin

ImperialBlether · 21/10/2015 17:08

He's amazing, isn't he? I hated him when he first started - took me ages to realise he wasn't an enemy within.

Mind you, I still think Brodie will come back, so what do I know?

SurlyCue · 21/10/2015 17:44

Quinn is ruined for me ever since i realised he looks like my friend's dad. Sad i just cant look at him in the same way anymore.

AmberFool · 21/10/2015 18:05

He's wearing so much make-up, did you notice?

Rollergirl1 · 21/10/2015 18:08

There's something a bit odd about when Quinn kills the woman. When she comes out the toilet Quinn looks really perturbed when the lights flash on the car she unlocks. The lights flash a few times. But she unlocked the car just before she went in the toilet and I think that's what bothers Quinn. I think perhaps he wasn't planning to kill her but realises she was activating a bomb which would detonate when the car starts?

Lweji · 21/10/2015 18:17

I thought he looked a bit startled because she changed clothes and he hadn't realised at first. It looked like he realised it was her because she opened her car, which he had seen earlier.
Now I'll have to check the episode to see when she unlocks the car.

Rollergirl1 · 21/10/2015 18:26

Lweji: you might be right that he hadn't recognised her and it's only till he sees the car unlock that he realises. But the car definitely flashes before she goes in and then flashes about 3 times when she comes out.

Rollergirl1 · 21/10/2015 18:28

And normally garage restrooms are just one toilet. Surely he must have realised that it was her as she was the only person to go in?

ImperialBlether · 21/10/2015 19:03

I think it's just that she went in wearing Western dress and came out dressed traditionally. Because of her clothing, he couldn't immediately tell whether it was her. That's why he pulled her veil to one side, isn't it?

She wouldn't have set up the car with a bomb - her job is to recruit people to send overseas, not to bomb herself!

Howaboutthisone · 21/10/2015 20:38

I'm glad someone mentioned the German spy woman was the one that helped him last series. I thought it was but wasn't sure.

Lweji · 23/10/2015 15:16

Oooh, just watched episode 3 and may well have to review episode 2 as well...

Anyway, after reviewing the car park scene:
She arrives in the van with the girls
The other man approaches from further up the park
They exchange something
She says goodbye to the girls
The girls get in the van with the man
She flicks the lights on the car.
She goes in (presumably the toilets) - female toilets are often two cubicles at least, but who knows...
Quinn approaches
Veiled woman leaves
Quinn notices veiled woman flicks the lights of the same car
He follows her...

So, my take is: the other man was in the car, got out and gave the woman the keys, she locked the car as she was going in the toilet, goes in and then out (pretty quick change, btw) and unlocks the same car, making Quinn change course. Nothing particularly odd or leading to suspect a bomb.

deadwitchproject · 24/10/2015 14:47

Finally caught up! I don't think it was Saul either and I too noticed that his gait was slightly different. Not sure who it could be though...Dar maybe?

Mirando Otto's character is great I hope she stays in for a while.
Boo to Max Beesley I was hoping the failed bomber would take care of him

Carrie has annoyed me so much. Why the bloody hell would you stay behind? Why?!

Hot boyfriend is definitely dodgy. Wouldn't surprise me if he was another sleeper convert a la Brody.

Fiderer · 24/10/2015 15:59

After asking (annoyingly often) why go to all that trouble to kill her and not just knock her off her bike, I started wondering.

Having her killed in the Lebanon would draw attention away from Berlin. But the Düring Foundation would be seen to have been targetted. For all the good they do ($10m and off-putting to other charitable organisations)

Whoever did it had the plan in motion after 3 days (?) so speedy operationally. And against Hezbollah who 'run' the camp so savvy.

Then it failed and it seems like they're after Carrie in Berlin again. Unless the message to Quinn was "Watch her back".

But even so, she's not safe and we're back at her bike again, as it were.

Am unlikely to get to watch tonight due to being trapped with pesky relatives and their non-Homeland watching ways - so will have to catch up in the week.

Stay away from the Internet then, young JediHassled. I went looking for that intelligence officer's take on ep2 and foolishly ignored the photo at the top of the article I found.

Thought it was a promotional photo and started reading. 2 lines in I'd read a massive spoiler.

Mind you, more careful reading and attention to the words ep3 would have avoided that.

ihatethecold · 25/10/2015 08:34

I love Sunday's knowing Homeland is on tonight.

MrsJorahMormont · 25/10/2015 11:37

Hello! I only just saw last week's Homeland last night Shock so have had to close my eyes at this thread all week :o I liked it although I was a bit worried Quinn had murdered the wrong woman. Also Carrie is now certifiably insane staying away from hot boyfriend.

I'm a bit worried that hot boyfriend is a baddie btw. I don't know why. I think it was because she's becoming quite emotionally dependant on him and she never has much luck. I hope he isn't a plant. I'm also quite delighted that someone upthread predicted that Carrie would end up on Quinn's kill list.

Looking forward to tonight's episode! :o

MrsJorahMormont · 25/10/2015 11:43

I really think I'm going to have to rewatch at least the last season as I had forgotten about the German woman.

TheSpottedZebra · 25/10/2015 21:02

Yes!
I love 9pm on Sundays. And I have my concentrating hat on.

MrsJorahMormont · 25/10/2015 21:06
