Lola and BK - well done! Isn't it great that people are starting to meet up? You two, Jen and Whajeb, me and Nickel....

Mind you Nickel, we went wrong somewhere. They were all on prosecco and we were on lattes at Pret a Manger!

Ian Kelsey had been in Doctors, yes. I watched it a couple of times when I was off ill once and was surprised to see him in it. I always used to fancy him in Casualty.

Nickel45 · 14/07/2015 22:09

Hmm ... We'll have to get that sorted next time ilove!!!
Where's wycombe gone, might gonna have to arrange a meet as you must only be a few miles from me.

Rhubarb01 · 14/07/2015 22:11

OK AT definitely passes the slicked back hair and no stubble test to look truly in period. I believe the Agatha Christie production is 'And then there were none' I've seen a film version of the story that was set in the Desert but this one's set in the original location down in Devon I think from what I read. He is apparently an ex-military man with a past? Could be Ross Poldark all over again having moved a little further eastwards.

Nickel45 · 14/07/2015 22:11

(whispers: I liked Ian Kelsey in Down to Earth)

Rhubarb01 · 14/07/2015 22:18

Good old Sunday night telly!

Rhubarb01 · 14/07/2015 22:20

On that subject - sorry ladies but I just couldn't face The Outcast and Alison Graham (RT Editor) is still harping on about the awfulness and misery. I took at look at the discussion thread on here and one or two said they didn't like it and turned it off because it was too miserable for a Sunday. Still sort of watching Odyssey but to be honest not really paying attention. I just wish Anna Friel would get out of the desert cos I haven't a clue who is who in that lot.

apsara03 · 14/07/2015 22:35

Edible and drinkable presents always good Cake WineGrin I got a lovely necklace from a year 11 really lovely surprise as had only taught her since jan and presents in secondary more of a rarity. I tend to get my boys' teachers Chocs at Xmas and something else in the summer - got them candles/ bamboo room scent things last summer

apsara03 · 14/07/2015 22:37

Anyone in the Midlands? I'm always up for prosecco drinking and CJ chatting WineGrin

Ilovelblue · 14/07/2015 22:39

Down to Earth! I'd forgotten about that. I think I fancied Ian Kelsey full stop. Didn't matter what he was in. I'd be hard pressed to decide between him and BA if I met them both together. IK is nearer my age, that's for sure.

Rhubarb I watched half of the first episode of Odyssey but couldn't get into it and didn't like Anna Friel with an American accent. I've recorded The Outcast but not watched it yet.

My new work colleagues have settled down more or less now but the one with the builder's bum doesn't speak to me so I'm ignoring him too. The others say he's shy but I remain unconvinced. I took a chocolate cake into work today (filled with raspberries out of the garden) but I shared it with my former colleagues who've moved down the office and didn't offer it to any of this new lot. They have to earn cake.

Dance glad the courgettes are fruiting. Are you managing to use them all up or have you started giving them away yet?

Wycombe123 · 14/07/2015 23:21

Yes I am still around and alive Nickel! In fact if I may be excused at name dropping am very excited to be going to a reception at St James Palace where Prince Charles is making an appearance - me along with a couple of hundred colleagues so will probably just see the top of his bald head! Unfortunately I fell over playing tennis at the weekend and scraped my face - my lip now looks like it has a big cold sore - about the only thing I have in common with Lacey Turner!

KellyHb · 14/07/2015 23:27

Sorry apsara I'm up in cold Newcastle. At times I wish I lived a bit closer down south. You can feel a bit out if it up here. Tbh I've never tried prosecco Blush This will be rectified soon!

Ilovelblue · 15/07/2015 07:37

Maybe we should have some regional meet-ups prior to our AGM!

Morning by the way. Lovely and sunny today.

LolaKent14 · 15/07/2015 08:10

I've met some good friends thru OG. We are a lovely rather crazy bunch of people!
Highly recommend it!!

Nickel45 · 15/07/2015 09:02

Ditto to that Lola :)

pixieg1rl · 15/07/2015 09:46

I can raise a glass and say 'look at the bulge in those trousers' from the other end of the A14 aspara

Richtea19 · 15/07/2015 09:51

I'm always up for a regional meet, London or Kent borders. I had a lovely day with NVM for those that were on here from the beginning would remember her. She lost her way when CJ stood us up at carol concert. We did have a fun day though!

cjwoofwoof · 15/07/2015 10:07

Thanks for the pic of AT in Agatha Christie mode Rich . Can't quite get my nut round the clean-cut 1930s look and greased back hair after being spoilt with the stubbly poodle smoulder, but the rolled up sleeves are mighty fine Grin

Rhubarb01 · 15/07/2015 10:21

Morning! I think it would be hilarious if we had an AGM and all had badges bearing our codenames. Just imagine the looks from other people especially if we had a registering desk with all the name badges laid out on the table ready to collect. Or better still we all turned up with homemade badges!

Rhubarb01 · 15/07/2015 10:25

It would be quite funny and probably lead to comments on social media because seeing as we can't book a conference suite somewhere we'd probably have to arrange to meet at a Little Chef somewhere on the M1 or something. Ideally one that was attached to a Travelodge!

LolaKent14 · 15/07/2015 11:05

Meeting at a Little Chef sounds perfect! Lol

pixieg1rl · 15/07/2015 11:20

All day breakfast washed down with a bottle of prosecco each?

KellyHb · 15/07/2015 11:33

Morning all. So sunny here today. I got into my car, absolutely boiling hot from the gym, then was met with more boiling hot air. I think I'm going to wilt!

Years ago, I had a birthday party at the Little Chef and thought it was the best thing ever! Smile

KellyHb · 15/07/2015 11:37

Oh on Daily Mail online last night, there was yet another MK bikini story. Apparently she was at some hen do abroad somewhere, and she wore like a diamond looking bikini top with a zig zag style straps and huge flowing skirts. She knows she looks good. I just cant warm to her at all. I miss LT. Sad

Rhubarb01 · 15/07/2015 12:14

Oh I don't know Kelly she sound like a kindred spirit to me - we could practically be twins!! (The men in white coats are, however, due here any moment and I haven't had my eyes tested for many years which is why everything is generally a bit of a blur - apart from those factors I'm sure no one could tell us apart!)

pixieg1rl · 15/07/2015 12:27

Are you saying she isn't one of us kells?
