Series 2... filming starts Jan 2016

Ooh, looks like a good new series starting this week, The Outcast, starts Sunday at 9pm. Just seen the preview on the TV (working from home!!!). Finally .... there isn't much on that I want to watch at the moment!

Funny how you mentioned that nickel. I had forgotten when that series was going to start. I saw the advert last week.

Ray Donovan re-starts next week too, hooray. Liev Schreiber - yes indeedy now you're talking, AND he's more in my age bracket.

Its funny you mentioned The Outcast because I was reading about that in The Radio Times this week. The author originally wrote it as a screenplay which she couldn't get made so she changed it into a novel and it was a bestseller and now the BBC have made it and she had to adapt it for TV. Weird! Unfortunately, the Editor at the Radio Times (she who did not like OG and kept writing negative comments in her previews) has described it as "packed with miserable people leaving wretched lives" and I have to say that after reading that comment I decided to give it a miss. Good job I ignored her on the OG isn't it?

I was reading about a few other series being commissioned including the BBC making Cider with Rosie - AGAIN!! (possibly it was ITV last time). Is it just me or do these channels keep making versions of things that have been done in the last 15 years or so and probably frequently repeated on Drama channels etc when people all know the stories pretty well.

Ugh! I did Cider with Rosie for English O Level and have never read it or watched it since - a truly pointless and irritating story imo. Give me OG ff anyday of the week

I'm more than happy for you to leave Liev orph - oo-er I think you're right I do seem to go for blockheads, I'd never thought of that. Dear Manu Bennett's very square-jawed lego-man too but with muscles where it matters . What I ever saw in dear Ian Ogilvy I'm starting to wonder - perhaps it was just the thrill of stealing him from you orph . I'd be not a little relieved if Liev and Manu steered well clear of your muff, front or rear entrance, and saved all their energy for duelling Matthias and Poldark for my affections instead . Now theres a wrestling match I'd pay good money to watch...

whaj brilliant chapter. I never knew Leigh was so romantic (or maybe I was just never with the right person!). I love it there, in fact took the kids there the last two Christmas days.

Having a rubbish day at work so thought "stuff it" and just read Whajeb's latest chapter. Soooo lovely. Got Nipper's and Jen's to read but may have to leave those till tonight.

After having several months of having this bank of desks to myself (and being able to post on here and read the ff almost uninterrupted), I am getting some new colleagues next to me so had better keep a low profile for a while. None of them will know of my CJ addiction either so will be asking who he is when he pops up on my screensaver.

Hurrah for Leigh, more drunken staggering around than romantic dates back in the good old days for me!

Ooops again. Must have read a comment from somebody who hadn't read Jen's. I thought she must have updated so was a bit disappointed to realise I have read it already....

Got landed with delivering training seminar in work this morning at last minute, right when I didn't need it. Was all a bit Molly Dawes circa end of ep5, just wish it had been the other scene I'd been reenacting rather than the bloody training!

Thanks everyone! It's going to be a major shock to the system. Ideally I was looking for part time but this came up and incredibly they really seem to want me! I must have managed to hide my deviant ways.

It's a teaching assistant post in a secondary school so would it be too much to hope for a Learning the Ropes CJ headteacher? Actually, better not or else I'd probably get fired on my first day, having cornered him in the stock cupboard...
