Oh dear .....just look at the motif!

I can so imagine the owners of these wearing a nice smoking jacket and pipe.

Please can we stop all talk of slippers and BA or even worse CJ! It doesn't matter how comfy they are kelly, my vision of him does not include slippers. Now dear Patrick Grant is indeed a slipper man. I'm surprised woof hasn't taken the opportunity to bring up PG's slippers and bedjacket...

And sadly, PG's jacket is def a bed jacket not a smoking one...

Evening ladies. I've been at a school play this evening and for some strange reason the script involved the phrase 'stale Alka Seltzer'. I looked and listened around me to see if anyone was tittering, sniggering or trying to stuff their fist in their mouth to stifle laughter but didn't detect anyone so I'm guessing none of you were there - unless of course you know different!

Many apologies on CJ's incorrect footwearorph Slippers are my other obsession. Even on a warm summers day I like nothing better then putting my bright red manicured toes inside my bright pink fluffy heeled slippers which also goes with my matching terri-toweling dressing gown with various flower motifs just below the collar.

I like to keep it real.

My alka seltzer is always within the use by rhubarb. Useless otherwise...

Only a week until I'm forced to go cold turkey ( are you attracted to turkeys as well as ducks pixie?) in wifi Siberia, otherwise known as deepest rural SW France. I'll be retracing some of the steps woof and I took on our road trip years ago, but obvs some towns are out of bounds as the ban is still in place. I do believe woof still isn't allowed to handle a baguette south of Bordeaux.

does your dressing gown button up kelly or do you prefer the ease of a zip fastening (colour co-ordinated natch)?

Feeling miffed, took this afternoon off work as DS was having a school familiarisation day. I was excited about an hour or so to get some writing done. Except I had to work (and I'm still working now). I'm not taking this afternoon as annual leave, they can go f*ck themselves

Come to think of it that could be a new addition to the CJ handbook:

A Duck Loan as in "If you think you're getting away with that I'll lend you my duck!"- an expression of displeasure at another person's actions or expectations!

Oh no!! Dizzy CJ would not be seen wearing these... he is a bare foot man!!! Defo!!! Well maybe not in the depths of winter?!?

The thing that pisses me off BK is that it's a consultation response, and I have zero confidence that anything will change as a result of it. Still draft sent to the union rep and wine poured now.

I like to think of CJ in the way dance wrote him; dressed in just a sarong telling me take my bra off (which given the size of my icebergs is not an appealing thought)

Thanks for everyone's kind thoughts. Today wasn't quite as bad as I expected but I still feel like a fish out of water with my new role (it's not a full time role fortunately and I still carry on with most of my original job). Thankfully there are two of us doing this role. My gay colleague is faring a bit better than me but we still feel it's the blind leading the blind! I don't like bullshitting but have had to employ this tactic quite a bit lately.

I will have a go at updating our handbook this weekend.

orph I do like the feel of the embroidered buttons on my dressing gowns so must always, always be buttons. Whilst in this attire, I do enjoy a drink of Warnincks Advocaat in my favourite Prince Charles and Princess Diana tumbler.

rhu very funny about the Alka Seltzer. I've done that before when you find a word so funny but nobody else does. Then I've thought stuff it, I'm going to laugh anyway. It's very liberating!

BK I agree with you on BA. I've always thought he comes across in RL as quite a diffident or reserved sort of character.

pix hate to say it but in the times we are living in the only thing that we can be sure of is that any consultation is done to appease the workforce, but in reality any changes have already been decided and it probably isn't going to benefit the front line. Just don't let the buggers get to you!! enjoy the wine!!

Ooh kelly imagine CJ masterfully taking the Charles and Di tumbler from your hand before, with his long, elegant yet strong fingers, slowly undoing the embroidered buttons on your dressing gown... Of course, if it was me he was seducing, he'd also have to bend down to unzip my bootee slippers. All this, while being gloriously barefoot himself. Absolutely not wearing slippers
