With Miley gone, never to be heard of for the next 15 years until she turns up with a new head, at least Emily won't have to babysit her every day and night for the foreseeable future.

New thread where we can hope the scriptwriters wake up and actually start paying attention to plot lines and character histories.

Was there any point to the Tracy arrest and release episode, or was it just a time-filler?

SymphonyofShadows · 05/07/2015 14:56

I've read that too Jo4040, way to ruin what should have been a nice send-off!

southeastdweller · 05/07/2015 17:57

I've also read about the Tracey-luv aspect to the upcoming story and not happy about it.

thenightsky · 05/07/2015 18:30

Had a corrie fest after returning from my hols. Interesting Lianne twist with ex-client turning up. Glad the writers haven't forgotten her past (like they seem to do with so many other characters).

AgathaChristie01 · 05/07/2015 18:31

I've read it too, and am disappointed to think that it may well just turn completely into yet another Tracy storyline instead of honouring Deirdre appropriately. Sad

AnneEyhtMeyer · 05/07/2015 19:00

Just read the comments here about Deirdre's funeral so went to have a look at Digital Spy. Bloody hell. We do not need any more focus on Tracey-Luv.

I know this is pathetic but I have an irrational hatred for the way Tracey mangles the name McDonald. She really stretches it out. She should know better as she was one for about 5 mins Grin She is a terrible, one-trick pony actress.

AgathaChristie01 · 05/07/2015 23:37

She is a terrible, one-trick pony actress.

Totally agree. I'd say she doesn't have to put any effort in, just the same old rubbish, over and over.

Fantasyland · 06/07/2015 00:12

Sorry missed a few episodes but why is Todd helping Liz ruin Tracey ? I thought they got on as she was the only one yo give him a job

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/07/2015 06:56

I thought it was just in response to her making him clear the stock room. Also a chance to hurt Jason by ruining Tony.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/07/2015 06:57

Did Tony dump Tracey?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 06/07/2015 07:21

No she dumped him when he failed to get the pub.

differentnameforthis · 06/07/2015 10:15

Todd will hurt anyone, it seems.

AgathaChristie01 · 06/07/2015 11:42

I was half watching, so I wasn't sure whether Todd was helping, or not. They have made him into a ridiculous character.

eddiemairswife · 06/07/2015 12:04

Todd is completely amoral. Any one noticed The Scar lately?

NoMontagues · 06/07/2015 14:12

Todd decided to help Liz on foot of Tracy being a bit rude to him earlier in the day and telling him to clear out the stock room Confused (which he reckoned wasn't part of his job description).

Yes the scar is shrinking away nicely eddie

rattymare2335 · 06/07/2015 16:39

I'm really struggling to watch corrie at the moment too. The storylines are so weak and pathetic. Probably time for me to switch off which is also pity as I've watched it for over 40 yrs. Glad its not just me feeling this way.

SymphonyofShadows · 06/07/2015 16:45

Perhaps we should tweet them this thread?

Jo4040 · 06/07/2015 17:44

Let's think of a really positive thing to say about corrie...Its not on five evenings a week like Emmerdale!!!

Jo4040 · 06/07/2015 20:52

Has anyone noticed that in the hairdressers they only straighten/comb/blow dry/put curlers in hair... Can't Corry afford a pair if rubber scissors?!

woodhill · 06/07/2015 21:12

also the way the actors ignore the clients and have conversations with each other unless it is one of the cast

southeastdweller · 06/07/2015 21:14

I'm really enjoying the story with Leeann and Dan. I guess it'll all end in tears.

Ellenora5 · 06/07/2015 21:28

Why doesn't Leanne see that Simon is a confused little boy, well nearly teenager but you know what I mean, he's lost so many people in his life and has had so many stand in parents, Nick, Carla, Kal and probably a few I can't remember, his real father comes in and out of his life, sure he doesn't know who owns him and now his grandmother will be gone, the child needs counselling for goodness sake.

southeastdweller · 06/07/2015 21:48

A few months ago, some of us thought the writers were slowly building up a romance between Ken and Audrey. Tonight I think we had another hint it's coming when she was mistaken for 'Mrs Barlow'.

DocHollywood · 06/07/2015 21:50

Missed a few but watched tonight's. Uneasy about the Deirdre storyline because we all know what's coming. I'd rather she just died at Bev's and not this big birthday build up, new oven etc. and then instead of Deirdre walking through the door it's Bev with the bad news. So unlikely and not necessary.
How boring to have even more of Kylie/David/Callum, you'd think they could've binned this by now.
