Corrie Thread - Bet Emily is relieved there is one less child for her 24 hour creche

With Miley gone, never to be heard of for the next 15 years until she turns up with a new head, at least Emily won't have to babysit her every day and night for the foreseeable future.

New thread where we can hope the scriptwriters wake up and actually start paying attention to plot lines and character histories.

Tbf scriptwriters remembered Gary had a son last night so points for that :) I honestly thought poor old jake had been completely forgetten.
Eileen is becoming increasingly unlikeable- bloody associated with Micheal is putting me off her he needs to go ASAP not back to Gail just go full stop. Why is he judging her over the bracelet when he used to rob houses for a living was that explained or are we to assume he's so ashamed of his past he's projecting onto Eileen?!
Honesty it would be improved within a week if we could lose micheal, Bethany, and keep callam to a minimum. It wouldn't take much more than that for a huge improvement.

wishful presumably Michael has now seen the error of his ways and is now super moral. No, eileen shouldn't just pocket the bracelet but i can understand why she did. Btw, was that woman who dropped it there only for that storyline or will she turn out to be a new character? If it was just that one scene they perhaps should have given that part to SH instead of the other Smile

It's also probably so that the wonderful prize for which Gail and Eileen battled, and which Eileen won Hmm, begins to think he has made the wrong choice.

I thought for a second when the bracelet lady came in (I was only half watching), that it was Leanne. I hoped she was going to book a taxi and send Simon far far away.

I completely agree, if they lost Bethany and co, plus Michael, and other dull characters, Alya etc, it might make Corrie watchable again.

The actress who plays Maria is going on maternity leave soon, thankfully. I like Luke but agree with Wishful that him and her together are really boring.

Bethany and Sarah are just awful, I dread any of their scenes, they look ridiculous together, totally unbelievable as mother and daughter, and where does Gail get all her money from to keep giving to the dreadful granddaughter. What is Gail's income these days anyway.

Does Gail still clean at the Bistro and the Gym? Did David take over the mortgage on the house? He has so many days off work, and Kylie doesn't seem to contribute financially.

I know that people have business and make money. But how much money?! Kevin, Carla, Nick seem to have money to burn. Only thing I can think of is that they have other investment's. Shit loads of premium bonds that they can cash in on maybe?

I agree. In Corrie anyone who has a business is automatically loaded, never any money worries, no cash flow problems, mind you those who work in the factory are loaded too. Who else could afford to be in the pub as much as those lot.

Tina was Jake's birth mother. She was a surrogate for Izzy and G ary. Is Izzy still around or has she gone to Spain as well?

Izzy still around she did the scenes with Anna her dd a few weeks back with giving up the baby but she's hardly been on. Jake will be a secondary school with a new head next time he pops up I'm sure.

Gary doesn't spend much time with Jake now he's got Alya, and Anna seems to think Miley is her only grandchild. To be honest I'd forgotten all about Jake, so perhaps the scriptwriters have too.
