Corrie Thread - Bet Emily is relieved there is one less child for her 24 hour creche

With Miley gone, never to be heard of for the next 15 years until she turns up with a new head, at least Emily won't have to babysit her every day and night for the foreseeable future.

New thread where we can hope the scriptwriters wake up and actually start paying attention to plot lines and character histories.

I have noticed that Sarah Louise's friend, Candice, is in Hollyoaks... she was pregnant and crying at one stage.

I think I'm the 'younger' audience, and believe ME Callum and Sarah is boring the absolute shit out of me. Give me Roy, Norris, Mary, Gail, Liz, KEN!, the walking bloody dead any day, instead of all this air time to a bunch of people who have been in corrie for a few months.

Corrie are not being loyal to their old fans who have watched corrie for years and have watched characters who give coronation Street the foundations. What this soap is doing is trying too hard to bring in new viewers

Eurgh just watched last nights. Hadn't realised that Eileen and Michael were up to that!

Bethany and her mum are an unbelievably irritating pair, all rolling eyes and silly smug smiles.And Bethany's dark red lipstick looks all wrong!

What has happened to the much beloved Corrie?

Watching a few episodes recently and it is just awful.

Story lines are aggressive
Characters are nearly all nasty
Becoming too much like Eastenders and losing its comedy charm

The worst thing though is that Gail is still in it gurning away and over acting at every single opportunity.

It is bloody rubbish now

whenever gails trying to act flirty with micheal or any other bloke she fancies she reminds me of the dragon in shrek when she falls for donkey, i half expect to see little love hearts coming from her mind

I take it Alya and Gary have never slept together? And i'm guessing that pregnancy test was positive? So will there be a miscarriage? Abortion? There definitely won't be a baby, that's for sure!

If Alya is pregnant, it's Jason's. She and Gary haven't shagged; he was respecting her wish to be a virgin bride.

The pregnancy test in the bin, is such a tired storyline. Why do soap characters always leave them in bins where others will find them. Beth knocked over the bin, ooh what were the chances of that happening

It is ridiculous. She scurried around giving the test in her bag. Went to the toilet with her bag and then just tossed the test in the public bin thinking no one would see it

Sarah doesn't make a convincing mum at all. And when they talk about their life in Milan - Federico, the trattoria - pah! There's nothing even slightly convincingly continental about either of them. Why on earth would you be taken with a backstreet drug dealer after having such a charmed life?

Totally agree, Pickle, about Alya, and the unconvincing nonsense that is Bethany and Sarah.

I didn't even bother watching the second episode, I couldn't take anymore.

There would definitely be something of an accent..we moved here when dd was 2, and she 10yrs later she has an accent. Not as strong as dd who was born here, but there is enough that her cousins notice it on skype..

That would make sense different. Bethany is not a believable character at all.

I think Chesney should consider another career. His face has the same expression whatever emotion he is trying to convey, and his voice is a monotonous drone.

Missed corrie last night. Going to try to catch up. Ayal did a pregnancy test? Oh no. Not more screen time for her. Zzzz.

If Corrie scriptwriters do read this please turn David evil again, they could do so much with David being evil but settle for soppy david

sparkling she even pronounces Italian words with a heavy Manchester accent.

The day she arrived from Milan she said "cornetto" and it wasn't very convincing. At all.

Oh yes- and immediately upon her arrival she got that Gavin creature to buy her a drink in the Rovers and said "grazie"- pronounced to rhyme with Patsy.

It's just really lazy casting and quite insulting to the viewers.
