Corrie Thread - Bet Emily is relieved there is one less child for her 24 hour creche

With Miley gone, never to be heard of for the next 15 years until she turns up with a new head, at least Emily won't have to babysit her every day and night for the foreseeable future.

New thread where we can hope the scriptwriters wake up and actually start paying attention to plot lines and character histories.

Thanks so much Agatha, I couldn't remember what happened there, I wonder will Bev be staying on in the show.

AgathaChristie01 · 10/07/2015 00:18

You are more than welcome Ellenora. Smile
The reason I knew that was, I bought some of the 'best of' DVDs on Amazon, last year, and that is one of the episodes included on them.
I wallow in them, from time to time, and tbh I dislike what Corrie has become, compared to the old episodes.
I'm guessing Bev is just back for the current episodes. I'm really disappointed in what is being done. It should be, in my view, paying tribute to one of the greats, with no drivel about Callum, Platts etc. I've also read about the funeral, and dislike the slant being given to the story. Sad

Clawdy · 10/07/2015 17:25

Found the whole thing unlikely and deeply unmoving. What a disappointment. They should have found a really good writer for such a crucial storyline.Hope the funeral is better written and acted, but I'm not sure it will be.

millimat · 10/07/2015 19:55

You'd have thought that Bev would be more upset considering Deidre had spent so many months there!

southeastdweller · 10/07/2015 20:01

Yes. As well as Liz.

MyBeloved · 10/07/2015 20:56

I've stopped watching. been a regular viewer for decades. it's such a shame how it has become about far fetched storyline rather than the quirkiness of real life.

RIP corrie Sad

AnneEyhtMeyer · 10/07/2015 21:12

Yesterday Liz's best friend dies suddenly and unexpectedly. Today she's laughing and joking on a date in the bistro.

I see Sally's reappeared from London - no scenes showing her finding out about Miley going Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 11/07/2015 11:01

I am watching the Omnibus. is him off the Bill going to turn out to be one of leanne's past 'clients'?

southeastdweller · 11/07/2015 11:03

Yes, he used to pay for some of her 'services', and was violent with her.

Sparklingbrook · 11/07/2015 11:06

Aah. Do we already know that south or is it about to be revealed?

This Kylie/David/Callum stuff is so tedious.

woodhill · 11/07/2015 11:57

I once saw Dave from the bill in our local Tesco in the next queue, that was how exciting my life was.

NoMontagues · 11/07/2015 12:08

We already know sparkling and he's threatened to expose Leanne if she tells.

He's a very bad man Sad

I actually wish Liz could have a bit of luck in love for once. I liked her and Tony together before the whole Tracy debacle.

Sparklingbrook · 11/07/2015 12:15

oh right, but doesn't everyone know about Leanne's past?

AgathaChristie01 · 11/07/2015 13:12

She is afraid that he will tell our Si. Everyone else knows.

woodhill · 11/07/2015 13:34

does anyone else think the whole absence of Deidre staying with Bev implausible. I think an elderly relative may have been more realistic with the family periodically going to see her.good episode though

AgathaChristie01 · 11/07/2015 13:39

I agree about Liz and Tony NoMontagues. They suited one another, I thought, as a couple, and I was sorry to see the inevitable happening.
I've not been watching all of the time, but I'm not sure if Tony has reappeared since he set out to drive Steve and Michelle to the airport...Grin
What about his business!

woodhill · 11/07/2015 13:43

was it a touch of dark humour with Audrey calling her Tracey luv

southeastdweller · 11/07/2015 14:05

I thought that was another heavy-handed hint that a romance between Audrey and Ken is coming, woodhill.

woodhill · 11/07/2015 15:01

yes I think so South. Don't mind Audrey except she punctuates most of her sentences with "mm"

theliverpoolone · 11/07/2015 22:21

Wish I hadn't read that, Agatha. Poor Tim - I love Tim, and can't bear whiny Kevin.

millimat · 11/07/2015 22:34

I thought the same when I read that.

Housewife2010 · 11/07/2015 22:43

No! I like Tim and they're great together. Kevin is like an unwashed ferret.

TheLastPickleInTheJar · 11/07/2015 23:01

No! Sally and Tim are great together. Getting Sally and Kevin back together is a terrible idea. Angry Angry Angry

And yy to unwashed ferret. What a great description Grin
