Didn't buy Carmel wanting them to choreograph a dance anyway or being petulant about it.
Don't like the Kush and Stacey storyline- can no one manage monogamy in Walford? Kush fell in love with Shabnam and changed his mind about marriage because of her and now he's fallen for Stacey!? Nah.
I also HATE the Roya/Jade storyline. Where have they researched this? As if! Masood was vile to her and so short sighted. It causes her visible pain and he describes her as not caring. Betraying her to Shirley and the rapist? To what ends?!

Why has Madrid not asked sha nam if Dean raped her? Surely that would be the first question.

I am really intrigued by Masood's reaction in this all, so I looked up what an illigitemate child's upbringing would be like in islam. It's really interesting what came up:

a child born out of wedlock should not hold any blame for his/her mother's and father's actions and they would normally be raised by the mother's family, so an uncle or grandfather would take the "provider's" role, if the mother is not with the father. I also read that if a woman does have sex outside marriage and marries a man or the man she had intercourse with whilst pregnant, he must honour her secret and not tell anyone.

So I don't understand why Shabnam is feeling shame and disgust if she looks at her daughter. It looks like Masood is trying to do the right thing by Shabnam and showing her that it's ok? Although the way he's doing it is very aggressively.

Masood said dean took advantage if her when she was drunk but she said she knew what she was doing.

Just read that the actress who plays Lola isn't having her contract renewed this year. I don't like Lola much but I do feel there's more mileage in her character.

During one of shabnams rants at Masood she has hinted at the fact he has this awful temper. We have seen it before-mainly when syed came back and then the whole syed/Christian thing. But he is being really cruel now. He does have history of simply being able to cut off his children if they do something he disapproves of though.
I wonder if Jade wasn't properly fostered. Maybe she was simply placed with a family through the aunt Fatima. And that's why they can simply barge in. I think this storyline is going to be dragged out. Shirley will prob just turn round and run back to the square after meeting jade and realised she has CF. We will then see her agonise over what to do next, before letting it slip to dean who will then race round to get the child.

In order for Jade/Roya to have CF, she must have inherited the gene from both parents which means Shabnam is a carrier. They've been really unlucky here as it is apparently rarer in non-Caucasian ethnic groups.

Shame about Lola, she's a good example of a young mum getting on with it. I'm surprised Whitney hasn't had the chop, she's virtually an extra these days. Shrimpy has more lines Than her.

The Jade/Roya story is going to be all about Shirley isn't it. I think Shabnam will be sidelined.

Shabnam is a horrible moany character. Always fighting and gurning and rolling eyes. The acting is terrible and why kush wants to spend a minute with her I do not know.

I can't stand the Cindy story. She's another little Bitch who does nothing but cause aggro and she's not even ians daughter. I'm sad lola is leaving. She is likeable and a good actress.

As for Ronnie, everyone they bring her back she is more ridiculous. Her gangsta gronnie persona is tiresome and she's staying to look really old and haggard playing the Mafia moll all the time. I'm struggling to like Richard Blackwood. I keep thinking he's going to burst into comedy. Kim is brilliant.

Paul is lovely looking but there are more Gay people in the square than I have met in over 30 years on the planet. The ben gay sorry is another bore fest.

Soup - despite all the crap there are some good moments. I like kim and gorgeous pearl, I kind of like Vincent, tam and Nancy, Sharon and the carters.

Shabnam is quite uptight, but her religion gives her comfort from the shame she feels about shagging dean in a nightclub and abandoning a baby.
In reality Kush would have given up on her months ago, she was pretty rude to hiim. Which is why the Stacey thing is so ridiculous.

It's very boring at the moment.

Remember how they used to always have a light hearted storyline for the kids, like back in the 90’s when Robbie turned vegetarian but was caught stuffing his face with chicken, or they gave Sonia a trumpet and had her thrown out of everywhere?

They need to do that again.

The battle of the Albert has the potential to be funny but sharons face is ruining it.

We don't know why he lied yet. DS rumours say that her dad is Kathys husband.

Love that Sharon didn't believe that the man in the scruffy house was her dad but had no trouble accepting the posh house dad!

Ha ha. Didn't think of it like that red I did wonder why she believed Phil this time though. He had just got some random bloke to pretend to be her dad 'because he somehow felt threatened by her actual rich posh dad' yeah right.

I believe Shabnam would hate Carmel's interference and decorations but I'm sure she would silently seethe and rant in private rather than shout at her future MIL in public. She was nervous about what Carmel thought of her and now shouts at her about taste? Come on!
